"Sensei, shall we begin?" he asked walking out of the entrance to the cave.
"Ha ha, for the next three months you'll be learning about chi. There are two different types of energy manipulation. Ki, which means spirit. This type of energy manipulation uses the user's own energy to create ki waves and spheres, this type wears the user down rather quickly. Chi, means earth. The name of this energy manipulation speaks for itself, it allows the user to gather energy from around them, drawing it into their body and then expelling it like Ki. The usage of chi doesn't wear your body down. Chi is harder to master than Ki, but you should be able to master it quickly."
"I'll do my best." Gohan said with determination.
He couldn't believe it, just two months ago this boy was crying for his father, but now he was a fighter ready for any challenge. He had trained this kid to the point where even in his sleep he was well aware of everything going on around him. Never would he do something like this for anyone else, maybe if he had a child of his own, other than that, no. To think that every warrior he had come across were either weak, or they were all talk, running off at the mouth like a snitch, blah-blah-blah, all their claims couldn't be backed up, none of them were worthy of fighting or being taken under his wing and here a mere child was worthy of his time.
"Let's begin. Close your eyes and listen to the sound of my voice and follow my instructions. This shouldn't take long now that you know the basics of martial arts."
Gohan closed his eyes without a word. He could feel the sun's rays beat down against his skin, hear the whisper of the wind in his ears, as he was one with nature. He could also hear Akuma's breathing and the sound of his heart beating.
"Like a river that flows into an ocean, let nature's energy flow into you. When you gather enough, let it surge through your body and expel it as an energy wave or to make your physical attacks stronger and to fly."
He did as his sensei said, imagining that nature energy was flowing into him like a river. His body temperature rose slightly as the energy poured into him. It ran through him like the blood in his veins, the feeling was overwhelming.
"Try and execute the Gou Hadou Ken."
"Gou..." he chanted, bringing his hands back to his side, pushing the energy up his body. "Hadou..." the energy slowly gathered in his arms, out of his hands to form a crimson red energy ball. He continued to push more energy down into the ball of energy and then he thrust hsi hands forward. "Ken..." the energy ball flew from his hands as a wave, still he pumped energy into it and then he closed off the current of energy. He opened his eyes when the energy wave exploded after coming in contact with a mountain in the distance.
Akuma nodded his approval, "now the Shakunetsu Hadou Ken. This time you are only to gather energy from the sun."
Gohan kept his eyes open, focusing his mind on the task at hand, and opened his body to the sun's energy. He felt a slight tingle at first, slowly the sensation grew, feeling as though he was being attacked by a million bees, then he felt it, his body heat rose dramatically, reaching what he thought was five hundred degrees fahrenheit. Unlike the Gou Hadou Ken, he performed this rather quickly. "Shakunetsu Hadou..." he brought his hands back to his side and a small fireball appeared between his cupped hands. "Ken!!!" Thrusting his hands forward, he released the wave of fire, it scorched the ground as it traveled, slowly dying out before reaching a wooded area.
"Good, good," folding his arms across his chest. "I want you to do a hundred of each version and when you are done, go down to the pond and mediate underwater. Keep meditating underwater until you can do it for an hour."
"I don't--" he started, and then with a smirk: "No problem."
Akuma didn't say anything else and walked away leaving Gohan to his task. He laughed to himself, thinking how quick the boy had stopped himself from earning a thousand pushups. When he was far away from Gohan he began his kata that he liked to call Ijin Odori, meaning Devil's Dance. It fits as each movement flows with malicious intent. He could do this for days on end, months at a time, hell, even a year. Each movement was filled with energy, done with complete excellence, Heaven doesn't want him and Hell won't take him, for he has the potential to one day rule either of them.
Anyway, he thought, performing a jumping roundhouse kick. It isn't like he's going to die anyway. The Satsui no Hadou kept him from aging, but not even he has mastered it yet. He hasn't even unlocked half of it's potential, but when he does his power will increase to heights not thought possible.
"Hmph." He jumped, purple flames dancing along his arm, and when he was at the end of the Massatsu Gou Shoryu he began spinning round and round like a tornado. Landing on his feet with a disgusted look on his face. He was going to call it quits, when something came to him. Spiraling upward in the Shoryu Ken fashion, this time his whole body became engulfed in purple flames. He could feel the immense energy within this new technique as he ascended higher and higher into the sky. Feeling as though he has done this before, he let out a ground shaking yell, in a burst of light the attack was finished and a streak of fire traced up to the heavens. He looked up at the sky to witness the aftermath of his attack when he felt the presence of another.
"Nice attack."
He turned, crimson red eyes settling on a woman with long raven black hair that extended down to her thighs, and gave a fang-baring grin in response. The beautiful woman standing before him was wearing a black and blue chest plate, black skin tight pants with black and blue knee pads, black and blue boots. What caught his attention was the tail wrapped about her waist, not to mention the smug look on her face. Even though Akuma was a man that cared only for the fight, he couldn't help but feel a certain attraction to her beauty.
He stood poised just in case this Saiyan woman attempted to strike him, he could see it in her eyes that she was contemplating to attack.
"I would tell you to relax, but you look like a guy who doesn't do that much." she smiles.
"What is your name?"
"I'm Arashiko. I came from a planet called Mayakashi, around the time you shown up. I've watched you fight against that other Saiyan...you won't last long against the ones that are coming."
"What do you want?"
"To help you train....like a Saiyan." the female warrior responded coldly. Without warning Akuma shot forward and landed a powerful punch to the female Saiyan.
The long haired woman smashed through a clifface and skidded across the ground. Akuma flew threw the exit made by Arashiko and stood in front of the hole in the rock, waiting patiently for this woman to make the next move.
Suddenly, the powerful saiyan sat up then bright blue light erupted around her as she powered up and blew dirt and grass away from her. She climbed to her feet and then calmly walked towards Akuma.
The two fighters stood on opposite sides of the field and glared at eachother. It began to drizzle, but both were so focused on the fight that they didn't even notice it.
They charged at each other at the exact same time, meeting in the middle of the field. Akuma threw a hard right hook, but the beautiful female Saiyan caught it and fired her own right hand punch which the Ensatsukan master latched onto as well. In an instant, two fighters of almost equal power were standing in the center of a deep ravine. Their auras pulsated against each other as the ground began to crumble beneath them.
After a moment of struggle, the powerful Saiyan reared back and head-butted Akuma in the face; the older fighter staggered for a moment, but then he retaliated in kind and was pleased to feel the woman's nose crack against his forhead.
His advantage was short lived though as the beautiful woman brought her knee up into Akuma's stomach, forcing the Supreme Master of Fists to bend over. A moment later, Akuma was sent flying out of the deep crater as the younger warrior pulled her hands free and hit him with a vicious uppercut. Akuma crashed through a mountain and through several other mountains too before finally coming to a stop.
The Master of the Dark Hadou lay dazed for a few seconds, but eventually he climbed painfully to his feet and began charging an attack as he flew through the holes he had created and out into the now pouring rain. The blue eyed beauty was strolling towards him almost lazily, a happy smile upon her face.
Akuma threw his arms forward and launched his chi attack as he screamed, "Massatsu Gou Hadou Ken!"
The huge chi wave slammed into the long haired Saiyan and sent her flying through several trees before a huge explosion rocked the area.
All of the muscles in Akuma's body were tense and ready as his eyes flashed back and forth; searching for the female Saiyan he knew was out there.
"Hello!" a voice whispered behind him as a finger flicked one of his ears.
The demon turned and fired a ki blast that blew the top of a mountian off, but the owner of the voice had already moved.
"Nice try."
Akuma whirled around and found the young woman leaning against the remains of one of the trees that had been destroyed.
"If this is all you are capable of," the beautiful Saiyan said mockingly, "well, you can say goodbye...when they come."
Akuma roared in rage and shot forward as the young fighter did the same. The two super powers collided with such force that all of the surrounding area was completely decimated. For a moment, the two fighters simply traded blows in the middle of the grassland and then they vanished as their battle was taken to the air at unimaginable speeds.
During the next fifteen minutes the fight between the two warriors was impossible to see; only the occasional explosion from a ki blast or the collapsing of a mountain one of the fighters had been knocked into revealed that something was amiss in the usually tranquil countryside. The apparent randomness of the devastation also served to keep the others from locating the source of the destruction as they raced from one disaster to another.
Finally the two fighters reappeared not far from the partially destroyed area; they glared at each other through the rain as they tried to recover their breath. Both warriors were bleeding heavily from numerous wounds; their clothes completely in tatters, but neither seemed to notice or care.
"You're stronger than I thought you would be," the young woman said as her breathing began to return to normal.
"Then you're even dumber than you look," Akuma spat, "I've been training non stop for the past three months; I've gotten considerably stronger in that time."
"If that's what you want to believe, but then those three months of training that you did doesn't seem to be helping you either."
Akuma scowled, "Your fighting style isn't what I'm used to; it's taking me awhile to adjust."
A bright aura swirled around her as she powered up to her maximum, Akuma was suprised by how much power she possessed, but he didn't let it show.
Akuma knew the fight was hopeless now; he'd known from the beginning, but her showing the depths of her power made it official. As a powerful fist slammed into his face, throwing him through a distant boulder, he prayed that he'd be able to make the fight last. He might not stand a chance, but he isn't going to just roll over and let her beat him so easily.
The Ruler of the Dark Hadou shook the cobwebs from his mind and looked up just in time to see Arashiko launching ki blast after ki blast down on him. Akuma pushed more power into his aching muscles and shot to the side, barely escaping the barrage of ki blasts. A second later another fist hit him on top of the head and drove him into the ground like a nail.
"Do you want to call it quits?"
The ground around her began to crack and glow, and then it exploded as Akuma let loose a mighty scream. The beautiful warrior was thrown into the sky and, for a moment, seemed off balance and vulnerable. The Supreme Master of Fists didn't waste his opportunity; he shot into the air and landed a series of devestating blows and then cupped his hands and powered up a chi blast.
"Massatsu Gou Hadou Ken!" he yelled as the enormous attack leapt from his palms and carried the woman high into the air before exploding. The demon smiled as he watched the smoke clear, "I don't care how powerful you are, a Massatsu Gou Hadou Ken at point blank range will finish you."
Suddenly, in the midst of the smoke, Akuma thought he saw what looked like a tiny wisp of blue light. He gasped as a gust of wind carried much of the cloud away and revealed a completely unharmed warrior hovering high above him.
"You know, if you weren't so weak, that might have hurt," the beautiful woman said with a smirk.
Akuma blinked in surprise and then the long haired female was in front of him.
"Goodnight," the powerful Saiyan female whispered and then she yelled, "Tenraku Ten!" A blue-black ki blast shot out of her mouth and slammed into the Supreme Master of Fists.
Akuma crashed through the remains of a mountain and hit the ground with a large explosion that brought most of the rest of the building to the ground. The devilish, crimson red eyes of the demon rolled into the back of his head and then his eyelids closed over them as he slipped into unconsciousness.
Akuma awoke in a dark, dank room and from the hard stone under him and the torches along the walls told him that he was in a temple. He rose to his feet. Akuma stretched his limbs to see if there was any soreness, there was none and then he began making his way through the temple. This temple reminded him of the one that was on Gokuentou, because there was kanji symbols aligning the walls that had his past plans written on the wall. His eyes spotted a figure down the corridor.
It can't be, he mouthed.
"Yes, it can." a voice called out, and walked towards him. For a moment Akuma was frozen in place, his legs not listening to him, and then he regained control and walked towards him slowly. The other man was looking dead at him not taking his eyes off of him for even a second. Ryu? Akuma thought. But it can't be. And suddenly he saw a quick sequence of events, like a trailor for a movie running at super speed: Ryu seperating the Satsui no Hadou from him only to create Evil Ryu, then a fight broke out between them, Ryu lost, then a robed figure appeared before him, asking him a question Do you want to go to a place where there are unimaginbaly strong warriors, Ryu? And the rest is history.
"It is you, Ryu." Akuma said, a hint of surprise in his voice. "You are stronger than before."
"And so have you, Akuma."
Ryu turned and walked back in the direction he came from without bothering to see if Akuma was going to follow him. Akuma did follow him, walking on legs that still felt as if they were relaying their own sensory input by some form of telecommunications.
Ryu stopped outside of a chamber. When Akuma joined him, he pointed with one slim finger. Akuma followed it and saw an unconscious Gohan laying in the middle of the room.
"You've brought him." Akuma said, and his lips formed a sadistic smile. He hadn't expected Ryu to bring him here. Thankfully he did. He turned to look at Ryu, his blood red eyes burning just as bright as his own and wearing a black gi just like his own. With the Satsui no Hadou now taking its own form...there was no depths of power he couldn't reach.
"Akuma, we aren't the only ones that were put here."
Akuma strained his eyes, raising a questioning eyebrow and felt two energies. One of the energies he remembers as Ken, but it feels different now and the other belonged to someone who has a power that could rival the Satsui no Hadou.
"I've seemed to lost my mind!" Ken called, almost laughing. His crimson eyes glowing fiercely in the dim lighting of the temple.
"You too have given into the Dark Hadou?"
"Yes, I did," the new child of the Dark Hadou said. He smirked--that cocky, you-can't-touch-me smirk and crossed his arms across his chest. His hair was nearly void of any color, not quite blonde and not quite white, he still wore his signature red gi, his muscles bulging more than usual thanks to the power of the Satsui no Hadou. Akuma didn't know what to think, first he felt like a lonewolf going at this whole new fight without any real help and now here were two people that used to be his adversaries who are now his family.
"We meet again, Akuma." the other fighter said his white pupils shining brightly in the darkness. His hair was tied back in a ponytail and multiple scars running across his upperbody from previous battles. His power pulsated from him and Akuma thought that maybe this man would be his new rival. One of his white taped hands had blood covering it, maybe it was from a fight he was in before being transported here. He looked familiar, but he couldn't place him.
Akuma's stone face returned, then he stared at him for a second. "Who are you?"
"Kairi. A while back you corrupted my soul with the Dark Hadou, but unlike you or any other Ansatsukan fighter I had something else hidden within me. The Satsui no Hadou melded with it, bringing it to the surface and thus the Insane Spirit of the Jackal God was born."
"Interesting...."
There was a sound like a bomb went off, chunks of rock flew across the hallway down the corridor from them, then they all looked down to see Arashiko walk through the hole in the wall.
"Hello again," she said. She eyed each of them in kind and nearly broke out in mock laughter, walking towards the group of warriors. She wasn't at all afraid of any of them--in truth she could beat Akuma again with ease, but--she wasn't about to underestimate him. He was already near her strength before, but now that he is healed he may be even stronger. She couldn't sense their energies, they could be at full strength and she wouldn't even notice. What ever type of energy they can weild it can't be sensed by her.
(You should have thought this through)
"Yes, I've thought this through, and you don't have what it takes to defeat me. You couldn't have grown that much stronger in a weeks time, so your chances of survival are slim to none." She looked at the Master of the Dark Hadou and smiled. She didn't need to worry herself against any of these foes, but there was a sickening feeling growing within her stomach. "Are you ready to die?"
He nodded. "It is a good day to die. You should be asking yourself the same question."
