PROFESSION: Riq is the link between the FBI and the Puerto Rican Police. He’s the leader of a Police Special Forces group known as “Strong Fist”, dedicated to eradicate the drug mafia in Puerto Rico.
HOBBIES: Reading, hiking and mountain biking, drums and guitar playing, sometimes teaches a few classes in his Master’s dojo on his spare time.
FIGHTING STYLE: Riq is one of the first Sifus trained by a notorious Kajukenbo Grandmaster in Puerto Rico. He is under evaluation to become a Grandmaster in a new Kajukenbo style that involves powerful immobilization and arrest techniques.
ABOUT KAJUKENBO: Kajukenbo was founded in 1947 at Palamas Settlement on Oahu, Hawaii. It developed out a group calling themselves the "Black Belt Society", which consisted of black belts from various martial arts backgrounds who met to train and learn with each other. This was the beginning of an evolutionary, adaptive style designed to combine the most useful aspects of the arts (taken from www.kajukenbo.org).

LOOKS: Riq is a mature man in excellent physical condition. He is tall, well built and possesses a lean athletic frame. His green eyes contrast nicely with his copper-tanned complexion, and he usually keeps his face cleanly shaved, with the exception of his goatee. Because of his French heritage, Riq’s facial features are subtle and well defined, and he is usually mistaken for a man much younger than himself. His attractive and athletic physique is sometimes a trigger for certain unexpected adventures ;-).
LIKES: Whiskey and Puerto Rican Rum, Cuban Cigars, coffee especially when it is brewed at the moment, nature. He loves to sit down at a Spanish themed café in Old San Juan to enjoy the sunset smoking a good Havano and drinking some Blue Label whiskey.
DISLIKES: Being bothered (Riq considers his home, space and time as sacred), injustice, drug dealers.
AFFILIATIONS: Riq currently has no affiliations with any Street Fighters. His only affiliation is with Victoria Enid, whom he trained on the art of Kajukenbo and Kali Fighting.

OVERVIEW:
Essentially a defensive fighter, Riq can take major advantage of any opponent’s relentless attacks. He studies every move an opponent can muster and is skillfully able to counter it with any powerful attack of his own. Some may consider a defensive style highly flawed and a weakness. Riq however, counters this with an impressive array of offensive Kenpo techniques, making him an extremely versatile warrior in the battle field. Also possessing great speed, Riq can easily flee from harm’s way, only to accommodate himself again in the perfect position to attack his astonished opponent.

- Outfit #1: (Casual) Khaki pants, brown leather Clark’s shoes and a black, long sleeved, untucked dress shirt, with its three top buttons left open. He always wears a gold chain with a small dragon medallion, given to him by his father before his death. His green eyes are most of the time hidden beneath dark oval lens sunglasses.
- Outfit #2: (Casual) Dark blue jeans, black or brown button down untucked short sleeved shirt, with its three top buttons left open, worn under a black leather jacket, and black leather Clark’s shoes.
- Outfit #3: Red karate pants with a black gi. The gi has a Kajukenbo patch on its left side and the Puerto Rican and Hawaiian flags on its left sleeve. A red belt with silver borders and a pair of kung fu shoes complete this outfit.

-STANCE-

Riq positions himself in a short defense stance, with his left leg in front in a 45 degree angle from his right and his hands relaxed behind his back. Depending on the attack he intends to counter, the position of his legs may be shifted, with his right leg in front of his left.

-PERSONALITY-

A man of few words, at first impression Riq may seem rather cold, ill-tempered, easily irritated and even somewhat antisocial. Although not a workaholic, Pierantoni takes his work extremely seriously and this quality has allowed him to be successful in every duty he has had to undertake. He possesses a certain allure for solitude, and considers his home a temple that should never be disturbed, so few have set foot into it; and should his temple be breached, he lashes back with a vengeance. He is a strict man, very organized and emits an aura of patience, since he calmly studies every situation before he takes any action.

Riq’s persona may change somewhat in the presence of women, and although he usually flees commitment, he has been known to embark on certain interesting affairs with the opposite sex. Though he possesses a certain charm, his heart and feelings are usually locked away behind a stone wall, a side of his personality that was uncovered by Victoria, who has been the only person that has made him genuinely smile in a long time.

DESCRIPTION: Initially in his stance, Riq awaits his enemy, as he/she approaches with a right punch. Riq rapidly moves in a front leaning stance with his left leg in 45 degrees, at the same time he blocks the punch with his right hand while his left hand is striking the opponent’s nose and eyes with a dragon strike. Shifting the position of his hands, his right hand now strikes his opponent’s nose with a tiger claw as he grasps his opponent’s right arm with his left hand. With a fast movement Riq, moves his right leg forward and back striking his opponent’s legs on the way knocking him to the floor while Riq’s right arm strikes him in the throat. (This movement can be applied inverted when a left punch approaches).

DESCRIPTION: Initially in his stance, Riq awaits as the enemy approaches with a side kick. Just as the attack advances towards him, Riq dodges the kick and crouches into a cat stance, immediately kicking his opponent’s knee. He then hops from his cat stance and delivers two wheel kicks into the opponent’s face, before he gracefully lands onto his fighting stance but this time bringing his guard up (both clenched fists in front of his body).

SPECIAL MOVE NAME: Kenpo Storm
POWER: 5
DESCRIPTION: Riq approaches his opponent in fast front leaning stances while he blocks himself for possible punches. Then he leans to his right, while he strikes the left side of the opponent face with two hammer strikes. Immediately after the second strike to the face, the left hand strikes the opponent’s groin. The right arm covers his left side of the face. After hitting the groin Riq performs a backward jump, striking his opponent with both legs sending his opponent to the floor meters away.

SPECIAL MOVE NAME: Stampede
POWER: 4
DESCRIPTION: Riq begins this combination with two wheel kicks, one with his right leg followed by another with his left leg. Immediately following the second wheel kick, Riq strikes with a side kick using the same leg. He then rotates his body, slamming his right leg into his opponent’s torso in a strong back kick. Riq finishes his attack by leaping into the air, delivering a forceful inner crescent kick into his enemy’s face, slamming him/her into the ground. He then lands gracefully on his stance.

SUPER MOVE NAME: Coffee Mill
POWER: 8
DESCRIPTION: Immediately after striking his opponent with two consecutive hammer hits across his/her left cheek, Riq grabs opponent by the shoulders and delivers a potent knee strike to the abdomen. Shifting his body to the opponent’s right, he grips the enemy’s right arm as he sends a hammer strike into the other fighter’s ribcage. Still standing at his opponent’s side, he smacks his enemy’s with his left palm and almost instantly delivers that same blow to his gut. An a blink of an eye, Riq then crouches and with a low kick, sweeps the opponent off his feet, forcing the latter to collapse onto the ground.

SUPER MOVE NAME: Kenpo Hawk
POWER: 8.5
DESCRIPTION: Riq closes in into opponent, taking three steps towards him/her. With each step he takes, he delivers a total of 18 hammer strikes on random areas of the opponent’s head and torso. He finishes this powerful combination with a sidekick on his opponent’s torso, making him/her fly back a few feet before crashing hard onto the ground.

-STORYLINE-

Enrique Pierantoni was born in the island of Corsica, France. At the age of two, Riq’s father accepted a job offer in his wife’s native country so the family moved to Puerto Rico; thus Enrique grew up playing on the brick streets of the historic Old San Juan and in the sunny beaches of this Caribbean island.

Riq’s interest in martial arts began at a very young age, when he witnessed his father, who was a Hapkido Black Belt, effortlessly bring down three men in a training session. His opportunity to learn though, did not come until he was 10 years old, when his father met Professor Ortiz, a Kajukenbo Grandmaster.

Young Riq’s abilities helped him become a powerful Kajukenbo black belt by the age of 18. Soon after this achievement, Riq joined the United States Army and it wasn’t long before he was assigned to a Special Forces unit known as FOXHOUND because of his impressive fighting abilities. Riq performed over one hundred solo missions for FOXHOUND, under the guidance of the unit’s notorious leader known as Snake. His reputation of being extremely aggressive in the field soon earned him the nickname “White Shark”.

Despite his vast experience, Riq was badly injured in one of his finals missions in Iraq. His wounds forced him out of any field missions in the coming months, so he spent his time working on some preliminary research on a disaster that had recently occurred in Raccoon City, USA and on investigating the very reasons on why his mission in Iraq had failed.

The research resulted on a very undesirable answer. Riq had been betrayed by one of his teammates. The treason was a very low blow for the Kajukenbo master, so he made his desire for resignation known to the FOXHOUND superiors and decided to move back to the Island of Enchantment in search for a somewhat new lifestyle by joining the FBI in Puerto Rico.

Only days before his arrival to Puerto Rico, however, he received the news of his father’s murder in San Juan by a group of gang members. Riq swore revenge, and with the aid and approval of the Puerto Rican government, created a unit dedicated to eradicating the island’s drug mafia. The unit was called there forth “Strong Fist”.

In one of the many operations Riq undertook with the Strong Fist, he met a young fighter, Victoria Enid, just as she was returning from a fighting tournament from Asia. (The details of their meeting will be revealed in a spin off I’m very SLOWLY writing *smiles*). Riq and Grandmaster Ortiz took the girl under their wing, as she showed great interest and impressive ability in Kajukenbo training, especially in Kali Fighting, and acquired her black belt in record time.

Soon both fighters will be receiving very unusual invitations for an upcoming tournament, and unknown to Riq is Umbrella’s desire to pull him in into their immoral research…
