-VITALS-
=======================
PLOT POINTS: Hero
Range*: 6
Speed*: 6
Power*: 8
Defense*: 8
Jump: 2.5 meters or 8 feet 4 inches.
=======================
OVERVIEW:
His fighting style is calculative. He
plays defensive in the beginning to get the feel of the opponent skills,
sometimes even allowing the opponent to get in a couple hits. Once he gets
the feel of his opponent, he will turn offensive.
His weakness in fighting is that he can be an arrogant. He believes in his own stamina and in taking hits from his opponent (to calculate his fighting strategy).
His strong point is that he is indeed capable of taking in many blows. It took a lot for his opponent to take him down due to his stamina and capability to lessen the pain felt.
-APPEARANCE/OUTFIT-
HEIGHT: 170 cm or 5 feet 8 inches.
WEIGHT: 70 kg / 140 pounds
POSTURE/BUILT: Guy-like
CLOTHES: In fights, he prefers to wear
a black or white undershirt (sometimes topped with a black leather jacket,
white or blue jeans, a pair of white sneakers, and a pair of black fingerless
biker gloves.
In casual situation, his clothes are not much different from his fighting attires, but due to his job, he can dress so gentlemanly.
-STANCE-
Much like Ryu’s fighting stance only that
his stance is a bit more loose.
-PERSONALITY-
A quiet man in nature, but if the job requires, he can be very charming. Easily fall for lovely looking ladies, which sometimes can get him into trouble. A rationalist to the boot. He is a good listener and observer, but at times seems to be an uncaring lout depending on the situation.
His mind is a complicated one. One hardly could guess what he is thinking of a certain thing. Lara Croft (possible cameo), his stepsister is probably the only one who could hazard an understanding of how Ming’s mind works.
He is quite difficult to open up with or trust others, but willing to put his life in line of danger for those he had faith in or won his trust.
QUIRKS / HOBBIES / PET PEEVES:
1. Has a habit of watching his surroundings with extra carefulness, especially in new area, due to the effect of his profession as a treasure hunter, which took him to places with hidden traps all the time.
2. Has an odd affinity with chocolate-based products, but don’t try to mix it/them with other flavors!
3.
He’s not a good alcohol drinker, but he does have a certain trick that
makes people think that he is a bloody good drinker.

this kick:
The first one serves as an anti-air attack that goes either vertically – Ming would launch a straight vertical jumping kick with his leg stretched straight upward - or diagonally upward – Ming would crouch down first, and then use his hand to push diagonally upward and send a kick to the same direction.
The second version is done in the air.

like Chun Li’s Kikosho), then he would send the energy ball with his opponent
trapped inside toward an object for an extra hit.
If however, his opponent is not caught,

-STORYLINE-
Ming’s birthplace is not known. From when he was 3 years old, he was adopted by Sir Richard Croft (yep, Lara Croft’s father). He was 2 years older than Lara. He lived his childhood year and most of his teenage years in a dorm school. There, he took up Richard’s interest in archeology and become intrigued with secrets within the pyramids and Sphinx.
He also learned his martial art and his other skills at the dorm school, although his martial art skills were excellent compared to his other friends, he still could not harness his chi.
When he was on his holiday to China, he visited a pyramid there. While taking a tour inside the pyramid, he found a hidden chamber. He entered the chamber and suddenly he was locked. He spent the night there wondering how to get out from there. As it happen, he was sitting on an object he thought as a coffin. That night, the coffin suddenly opened up and Ming fell inside. The lid closed on him as sudden as it open. He was trapped.
Faced with another deep-sh*t problem, he sought his way out, but the lid would not open. He went into deep meditation to calm himself and think of a way to get out. As it happened, that night, it was the right time for energies from nature massing in that secret chamber, in that mysterious box.
In his deep meditation, Ming interacted with the mass of energy and began to build up his internal power. The interaction unlocked a part in his mind and soon enough he was building up a mental realm where he practiced using the energy. He created and perfected his special and super moves in that mental realm.
When he had done creating and perfecting his new moves, a mass of energy began to take form of a dragon. The dragon explained to him that the hidden chamber inside pyramid was actually for initiation for higher learning and he was lucky to stumble upon it on the right moment. The energy dragon gave his title the Dragon Rider as one who had received this higher learning.
When the mental realm was gone, Ming woke up and found that he was outside the pyramid, and to his surprise, all that happened in the mental realm only took a day in physical world!
The energy dragon origin will be explained along the way in the fic.
After he graduated from university, he took a job as a treasure hunter like Lara, but both of them seldom work together and he was more seldom visited the Croft Mansion as he also took a part-time job as an international detective, although he never formally joined any agency, he preferred to work independently.
