OVERVIEW:
Meliza isn’t really at the caliber of most of the fighters in the tournaments, and she isn’t supposed to be. She did learn karate when she was younger and still tries to keep up with the training – so if some guy tried to mug her, he’d be really sorry. Also, she has the ability to make any object she touches explode by transferring kinetic energy. (Think Gambit.) She always keeps a deck of cards on her so she can use them as weapons if needed – either in her pocket or strapped to her thigh (if she’s wearing a dress or skirt).

-PERSONALITY-
She possesses sharp wit and a wry sense of humor. (However, in a game of cards, she shows little emotion, sometimes disinterest.) She's a very outgoing person. Meliza can get along with many different types of people and she enjoys meeting new people. She's also on the flirtatious side, but she has toned down a little especially now that she's 'taken'. Sometimes, she can come across as a little cool and authoritative but those acquainted with her have seen the warm side of her personality and know better. Meliza prides herself in being strong and independent, so she does not like to show weaknesses.

When she wants something, she is determined to have it. She’s also a very sharp businesswoman, in spite of the short time she’s been running her company. While her penchant for finding trouble seems to be her trademark, her life has been pretty ordinary since she’s stopped traveling the world to visit all the casinos. Now most of her traveling is business - to familiarize herself with the company more, she spends time at every property. These trips will usually consist of one to three months away from home. Confident and assertive, Meliza always plays to win in life and in business.

DESCRIPTION: Using her thoughts, Meliza creates a blue barrier (either a full sphere that contains her or a flat shape on one side) that protects her from any attacks. It can protect against basic attacks, thrown objects, trajectory attacks...but she'll struggle to keep the shield up against very strong attacks after blocking them for too long. (ex: Bison's Super Psycho Crusher in Alpha 3 - after about 1.5 of those she'd get tired)

-STORYLINE-

After the end of the first tournament, Meliza settled down in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and became casino manager of The Rinaldo, a high-rise hotel casino property, one of several hotel properties under the Rinaldo Hotel Corporation. She’s lived a pretty settled life as the Incarnate of Wisdom – it’s helped a lot in her work. (And she's slowly explored her abilities with said power - usually during her free time.) When her parents retired from the business two years ago, Meliza took over running the corporation. She prefers to stay behind the scenes and let her executive vice president be the public figure for the company.

Two and a half years ago, she began dating a man who runs a flower shop in the Chinatown district of New York City. While running a large business can make having a relationship difficult, they do the best they can with visits and phone calls, making all the moments count.

Several months ago, the Rinaldo Hotel Corporation recently acquired a hotel property on the southeastern shore of Oahu and began renovations on it. Now named The Makai and having recently been completed, she’s overlooking the transition and will return to Atlantic City when the hotel staff and management has settled in. The hotel is one of several host hotels for the tournament.
