-PERSONALITY-
Esperanza can be very shy, it comes with having grown up in the shadow of 2 much older, taller outspoken sisters. She loves studying and prides herself most in her academic career. Sometimes it seems she prefers the company of books and ancient ruins versus humans – a joke her sisters constantly bring up at family reunions. She can be very trusting of people, and there have been occasions when people took advantage of that. She doesn’t have many friends – most that she does have are somehow related to her career. She’s also a little inexperienced when it comes to men and relationships, so much to her embarrassment, she’s easily flustered at the receiving end of a flirtatious compliment or gesture. Esperanza likes organization and order – she always plans her schedule at least 2 weeks in advance.

-STORYLINE-
Esperanza comes from a family of all girls – her 2 older sisters are a talk show host and actress. In fact, her name, ‘esperanza’ means hope – which her parents named her because shortly after they found out she had been conceived, the doctor wasn’t sure if her mother could carry her full term. So she did everything to make her parents proud and is very close to her entire family.

Her knowledge and work has taken her abroad and she has been a guest lecturer at several universities. Her career has given her the chance to meet many people in her field, but she only keeps in contact with a select few. One being Ming Croft, who recently began researching strange anomalies located at various historic sites around the world. She soon takes up the same task, not quite sure where it will lead…
