OVERVIEW:

In short, Volpe is a rock solid character with great damage potential and higher defensive abilities with decent fighting priority then most out there. In the physical aspect he may not be the best, but remains on the highest known average, without a single weak point.

However, his maneuverability remains on the average, giving smaller, faster fighters a run for his money (pun intended). Air superiority, as well, is only average.

Of course, his major weakness is a complete and total lack of chi assisted special moves and/or techniques, making life generally miserable vs. projectile chucking opponents.
 

-APPEARANCE/OUTFIT-

HEIGHT: 5'6.5"

This makes him at the low average of the new millennium's height. Not short, but definitely not towering over others. With his broad shoulders and largish build, however, it only makes him seem more solid to the eye.

WEIGHT: 175 lbs

Larger build for his size than most, but thankfully not enough to make him uncomfortable. Volpe can thank his brawny physique to constant exercise and weight lifting.

HEAD:

A square jaw, deep set brilliant eyes, and a high forehead give the man a slightly intense look about him, but this is readily countered with an easy smile that seems ever present on his face. However, this seems largely at odds with the shadows tugging at the corner of his eyes, eyelids half shut, and the overall severity of his gaze. His hair seems to rise vertically into a small mass of curls, then jut straight back, sides neatly cut to a close fit, tapered. If he fails to smile or grin for a reason Volpe's gaze can be very unsettling.

Though he forgets to shave occasionally, giving a slightly rugged appearance about him. And of course, he wears a pair of green tinted rounded Italian shades for style points.

TORSO:

A white or cream colored dress jacket is worn, resting easily on his broad shoulders while hanging open to reveal his protruding pectorals and sleek abs attempting to push out from his shirt.

His intensely hued shirt (aqua green color to a crimson red, or neon pink) reaches just below the collarbone level, and is constructed of thin light fabric, hanging untucked just below his waistline.

ARMS:

The cuffs of the jacket are rolled slightly inward to expose more of the brawn of his forarms and wrists. On the left hand is a highly beat up and noticeable worn watch, and on both hands are a pair of white fingerless gloves worn for completing the outfit.

LEGS:

Darkly colored slacks (usually brown or grey) cling to his mighty form loosely, cuffs hanging over the upper portion of his pair of simple hard-soled leather boots, which are brown in color.
 

-STANCE-

Knees only slightly bent. Right hand drawn back neck level into a spread hand, left hand lowered into an open palm around waist level, both limbs bouncing lightly up and down. Rocks easily from both legs in turn, almost in sequence to some unheard music, grinning the entire time.

When moving forward he walks, headstrong, smiling and determined.

Moving backward he keeps his hands up a small amount, if for looks more than anything else. Legs move more in a gallop backwards than anything else.
 

-PERSONALITY-

WATCH THIS KIDS:

Volpe rarely finds any difficulty dealing with setbacks in life in general, due to his intense belief that the world could and would be a much better place if everybody could just relax a bit, smile, and work together.

This makes him an easy target, but he wouldn't want it any other way.

He believes that this future, although distant, is indeed possible, but only if men and women of good stock are willing to step out in the open, despite any and all consequences, and set the example for the rest.

As a result, any and all actions he tends to perform is one he wouldn't mind others emulating. In short, a role model in the fight for the future.

GOODIE TWO SHOES:

Brushing the dust of his outdated morals, Volpe will stride into any conflict and attempt to right wrongs by a less than strict code of ethics from the dated Renaissance periods.

There is absolutely no question in his mind the difference between right and wrong, or at least by his mighty perception of it. He lives every day honestly and openly, and will never succumb to temptation. Well, most temptations anyway. Gives his all in anything he commits too, helps out anybody and anything, even if it's out of the way. Won't risk the life of an innocent, places others before himself, will always run off to do battle with the villain. He's horribly predictable that way.

HAPPY GO LUCKY:

To a point where it becomes dangerous, Volpe is so content with stepping forward one step after another with a smile he tends to even remember what he himself may be walking upon at the time.

A permanent grin tends to be etched on his face, which is often replaced by a toothy smile or a vivacious smirk. Tends to laugh at the drop of a hat, or anything else for that matter. Definitely not the straight man in BF's antics.

It may be possible that he doesn't have a serious bone in his body, but it doesn't really matter, because if something happens, he'll kick ass, say something witty, eat a doughnut, and then consider taking names.

This nonchalant attitude about dealing with everything can be annoying, as well as severely dangerous in a world threatened by the forces of evil.

EASILY DISTRACTED BY SHINY OBJECTS:

As it says. Volpe isn't one of the most focused fellows in the world. He gets impressed pretty easily and doesn't mind saying so in the least. Rarely can follow a prolonged monologue or boring event; Volpe always likes to keep active in something, no matter how odd it may seem.

HOLD THAT POSE:

It may be the shades, or the weather, or the constant blows to the head, but no matter what Volpe does, it seems to reek of energy and style. Expect a constant flood of obscure gestures from the man, as well as a fixation on extremely impressive flexing routines and dance steps.
 

-SKILLS-

ECCENTRIC TASTE IN CLOTHING:

As it says. Tends to mix bright white and a disgustingly vibrant green or pink.

HAND HELD FIREARMS USE AND MAINTENANCE:

Volpe is a long time marksman with almost any versatile kind of hand cannon (i.e. pistol), able to pick long range shots with the skill and ability rivaling that of the cowboys of the old west. Don't confuse this with any kind of Rifle, however...(poor at best)

Also, he can field strip a weapon and repair almost anything immediate within seconds. But as real life would dictate, sometimes you need the tools to do the right job...

INSTRUCTION:

Almost anything he knows, he can teach. More or less.

WITTY DIALOGUE/ACTIONS:

A prerequisite for any hero of any genre, this gives Volpe the ability to say something inane, irritating, or downright funny at the right place at just the right time. It's a knack.

OLD ENGLISH AND EQUALLY ODD DIALOGUE:

Just like the above. Anything that sounds good at the time can and will be used by the wit of Volpe.

U.S. CIVILIAN AND MILITARY LAW:

He may have to ponder a bit, but this fellow has read these different codes of conduct from front to back. After all, he's been in the justice field for a while...

ARTWORK:

The dude can draw. Oddly enough, Anime seems to be his favorite, oddly enough.

MILITARY STUFF (TM):

If it seems like it'd be a snazzy thing to write, then by all means play around it in Volpe's eyes. He's been around a while, so there's no end to the obscure things he may be capable of.

STANDING:

LP: An easy jab with his left hand, shoulder rolling into it. Right hand backs up slightly towards his right shoulder.

FP: A heavy swinging fist with his right, directly ahead, twisting his torso.

FP(close): Strikes out with his right elbow towards opponent's skull horizontally.

LK: A light glancing kick lashing out with his left foot at nearly shin level.

b / f + LK: A small hoping spin kick, left leg striking mid level, Volpe moving slightly in the input direction.

FK(x2): A high arcing spin kick at neck level with the right foot, then with the additional button, strikes as soon as he finishes spinning from the first strike in similar fashion with the left foot rapidly.

f + FK: With a slight pause Volpe launches forward a small distance with a small leap, left knee extended in a vicious stroke. Must be blocked standing.
 

WHEN CROUCHED:

LP: Another jab with his left hand. How neat.

FP: A mighty looking uppercut, swung crosswise with his right arm upwards.

LK: Quickly extends his left foot a short distance.

FK: Plants a hand on the ground and strikes outward with his leg. Sweeps.
 

IN THE AIR:

LP: Strikes out lightly with his left hand at a downward angle.

FP: Winds back and slams his right fist outward.

LK: Drops his knee forward and keeps it out for a second.

FK: Mid-air-twirling-spin-kick-with-the-left-foot.
 

TAUNTS:

Start: Drops his arms from guard position in favor of putting his fists to the respective sides of his waist, rolls back his head and bellows laughter out loud, shoulders shaking in mirth.

f + Start: Palms his face in mock horror with a wet slap, then shakes his head back and forth a few times sadly.

FORWARD ROLL: LP + LK

f / b + FP: Bashes his skull into theirs (i.e. headbutt), sending the opponent off balance as he sways back and delivers a massive haymaker to their person, sending them flying.

his right elbow smashing atop their person, flooring them with a neat crunch.

(In Air, Close) f / b + FP: Collides with the opponent, sending them flying to the ground, Volpe atop their prone person. He then pleasantly punches them in the head. Simple.

-SPECIAL MOVES-

A FOOLS FORTUNE

MOVE COMMAND: f,b,f + P (high attack counter)

This acts as a counter move, pure and simple.

Volpe will relax his usual bouncy stance into a standing pose with a brilliant smile, left hand positioned outward and below his shoulder in a mighty looking fist.

This animation lasts for only a brief amount, with HP lasting longer then LP.

If at any time an opponent's physical blow strikes Volpe at the midsection or higher level (Where his arm is clenched), the following will happen.

Left hand lashing out, Volpe will violently twist around and deliver a nearly instant Bruce Lee like shaking right fist smash where the other is standing, exposing his mighty back to the camera, and sends the opponent sprawling.

If nothing happens, the animation will cancel and Volpe will be vulnerable as he shifts stances once more.

This impressive looking counter move does absolutely nothing against low attacks, and he will kiss the ground forcefully every time a sweep attack comes out to play.

SWEET JUSTICE

MOVE COMMAND u,d + P (Air)

This isn't a mid air throw, nor is it a countermove of any sort.

From the awe inspiring mid air leap Volpe will twist dramatically upside down and sideways, hands stretching towards the ground. The landing position is the same of the original orientation of the jump. He is completely open while utilizing this technique, but if he lands atop the opponent..

Volpe then grasps the opponent by the area of the shoulders and vaults neatly above and behind them, twisting as he goes, until he is still holding the opponent from the backside.

Immediately our protagonist will wrap his arms around the middle and neck of the opponent with his beefy arms. In the same set of motions Volpe will swing his body backwards and towards the ground, slamming his opponents head and upper torso into the ground in a fierce suplex that would do Guile/Charlie proud.

TACTICAL NIGHTMARE

MOVE COMMAND: b(charge),f + K

Volpe dives into a compact roll with a grunt or two, basically he dives into his shoulder, rolling swiftly towards his opponent. The move alone doesn't cause any damage, however; is swift, and can roll underneath most attacks, making it a unique style of dodge. This is by no means invincible, so if somebody aims a major attack extremely low Volpe will indeed eat it. Upon the finish of the roll Volpe will pick himself up, providing no below command is input.

...ABRUPT ACTION

MOVE COMMAND: u + K

From amidst the roll Volpe will hurl himself upwards and towards the opponent by pushing himself in the air with both gloved hands off the ground.

Immediately Volpe will twist his body into a reverse flashkick, twisting his entire frame downward and spinning, while mightily extending a leg in the air. Basically this sends his leg lashing out from above to crash downward, along with the rest of him when he comes into contact with the ground.

There is a slight amount of lag between our hero pushing himself into the air and delivering, as well as being completely vulnerable on the ground until he picks himself up.

This acts as an overhead wakeup attack, and pastes the opponent into the ground if not blocked at standing level.

...CURTAIN CALL

MOVE COMMAND: P(close), follow by...

Volpe attempts to grab whatever might be in front of him at the time with a brilliant smile. If nothing is there is smile will change into an expression of surprise as he stumbles comically, completely off balance.

However, there is indeed somebody nearby, Volpe will abruptly stand and lash out with his arms to grapple the unwary opponent and slam their person onto the ground directly behind him with a vicious twist.

Immediately Volpe will persue by stomping heavily on their prone person, then stepping back.

Volpe will simply torque his body around for a round sweep then stand, hopefully knocking the opponent prone.

BOOT TO THE HEAD

MOVE COMMAND: b(charge),f + K

Taught by the masters of Tai Kwan Leep, Volpe will hurl his entire person off horizontally in the air after one step forward with his foot, foot outward, heel placed in the fierce 'butt kicking position'.

This acts as a near instant flying kick that launches across the battlefield, delivering a painful boot full of mightyness to anybody that fails to block the manly self-propelled missile known as Volpe.

SOMERSAULT/FLASH KICK

MOVE COMMAND: d(charge),u + K

Volpe lifts off vertically by firmly planting his arms and leaping upwards, the torque of his entire body spinning and releasing a devastating mid air split kick that is launched so fast his legs actually blur with a flash of light. The cornerstone of all tough Air Force Buttkicking for goodness!

FEEL THE RUSH

MOVE COMMAND: b(charge),f,b,f + P

With a quick burst of speed Volpe will burst forward, blurring at first with the mighty shoulder blade of justice in front of his person in ram battering mode, which will hopefully connect with a unfriendly chin or other bodily type device. Upon contact this move sends the opponent flying into the opposite side of the screen to bounce of whatever various structures may be there for additional damage.

This attack can also hurtle through your traditional assortment of projectile/chi blasts, but nothing high powered.

LIGHT OF TRUTH

MOVE COMMAND: d,b(charge),f,d,d,b,f,u + P

(Lvl 1 and 2) With a triumphant grin Volpe reaches out to grab something, ANYTHING while blazing with energy. If the opponent is unlucky enough to be standing/crouching next to him he will grab them and leap backwards into the air, slamming them into the ground in a horribly painful looking reverse bodyslam.

As soon as they are grounded Volpe will flip backwards off them and take to the air by leaping off the nearby wall. After this act is where he quite pointedly slams his fist in the prone person with a glowing burst of light that detonates upon the impact of his fist.

ASCENDING MIGHT (Chargeable Super. Anti Air Auto Combo.)

MOVE COMMAND: d,b(charge),f,d,d,b,f,u + K

(Lvl 1), With blinding speed Volpe launches upwards and towards the opponent with a blurring flying knee. Upon collision the right knee will lash afterwards, then his body will torque into two flash repeated flash kicks, climbing in height.

Volpe of course lands melodramatically before the opponent.

(Lvl 2) As always, the above holds true, higher rate of priority, but he will flash kick thrice, and upon the last kick Volpe will twist around in mid air, driving his elbow into the opponent blindingly fast, slamming them into the ground.

POETIC JUSTICE

MOVE COMMAND: b(charge),f,b,f + K

(Lvl 1) Laughing while the screen pauses, Volpe then twists his body around in a snazzy horizontal spin kick, complete with traditional 'flash' effects ripping across the screen focused around his leg, momentarily stunning the opponent. As soon as the first toe touches down as Volpe lands he completes the move by spinning around with a bulging arm and complementary fist slamming into their midsection, surreal energy wave effects encircling his person, sending them crashing a good distance away.

A strong stylish ground level combo.

1. Leaps in from overhead, on his side of the screen, landing with a flourish. One eye dramatically opens while still kneeling eyeing the opponent, and he smiles.

2. Stands tall with a smile, right hand on his hip, left hanging by his side. Raises his right hand directly towards the opponent and brandishes the might thumbs up.

1. Takes his hands out of his pockets and strikes a formal stance with a smile.

4. Winds back and pokes at the opponent with his mighty index finger, back to the camera, the rest of his body splayed outward dramatically.

Immediately fires his Berreta out of nowhere for a four dead center shots, all of which somehow fail to penetrate Bison's Psycho Shield.

As the bullets fall Volpe hurls himself forward in a Boot to the Head, only to rebound off Bison's fist while laughing maniacally.

"Damn!"

Offers a formal bow at the waist, proffers the thumbs up, and sets back into his stance.

"Yo, Crimson!"
 

VS Kumori, Lilly, Nadie

Begins several elaborate flexing and posing positions in rapid sequence.

"WAHAHAHHAHAHAA!!"

(Either followed by several manly grunts)

Strikes a ridiculous pose intoning in a badly dubbed voice. "Your kung-fu is good, but try my Shaolin fist!."

Laughs with the Neko as she glomps him with a hug around the neck, spins around with her a few times then tosses her to the opposing side with a smile. Naturally, she lands on her feet.

Tosses a finger from the forehead, posing ala Charlie style.

Silently tightens his gloves with a brilliant smile, shades shimmering.

Both gloved hands on his hips, smiles and nods.

(Occasional) Whips out a Berreta M9 out of nowhere and blasts the freaking Jigglypuff Kay whipped into existence into confetti.

Actually delivers a formal salute with a grin. (A salute is the heels of the shoes clicking as they connect, left hand firmly planted along the inseam of the pants, the right a knifedge touching to the right eyebrow or brim of the hat, or in this case the right upper edge of his shades)

1. Both hands on his hips, a cheesy smile on his face as he faces the camera, laughing heartily.

2. Tosses two fingers towards the opponent in a pseudo salute with a grin.

-STORYLINE-

Volpe works as a recently surfaced freelance Investigator/Bounty Hunter in the massive metropolitan area of Metro City. Though not much is known about his past, it is quite evident to see that he was prior military, even with his outlandish mannerisms.

Business hasn't been grand, but it's been far from poor. Enough to suit his humble needs for living, anyway. But this relaxed, laid back lifestyle was soon to change when a well known Chinese Interpol Detective named Chun Li Xiang came to his door as a friend, with an unusual offer indeed...
