-COSMETICS / LOOKS-
Standard split banged hair style (Think
Kyo Kusanagi), though the back and sides are shaved. The front is incredibly
long, his bangs reaching his eyes. Hair is white, eyes are blue, due to
coming to the control of his abilities as the Incarnate of Wisdom.
1) He dons a white t-shirt, sleeves rolled up to the upmost on his arms. Actually part of an athletic outfit, (think of Hayato from Rival Schools). Pants are black windbreakers with the white stripes streaming down at the sides. Jacket is also black, but is tied around his waist. White tennis shoes adorn his feet, and black, fingerless, and knuckleless gloves adorn his hands.
2) Same athletic outfit as outfit one, except the general coloring of the outfit is white. He wears his jacket, front open, sleeves rolled up the forearms. Black tank-top beneathe it. The stripes at the side of his pants and jacket are black. Gloves are white, shoes remain the same.
3) Special outfit. Long sleeved, blue Chinese
styled shirt with lapels and gold trimming. Baggy black pants, and flats.
Black forearm guards.
-PERSONALITY-
*Updated* Seeing as how he's gain some 'wisdom' along the way (pun intended), he's a little smarter, but still unwilling to show that he really knows what the whole bed-squeaking bit. Generally a combination of Darius and original Kay, but sort of a new person now. More quick-witted and smart-alecky remarks, because he's such a wise guy now. Can piss people off because he knows something and usually makes them suffer a little before he tells them. If he feels like it.
Notoriously lazy now for some reason, as he can sleep while standing up or in the middle of a busy crowd! Bangs are usually covering eyes, so people can't really tell unless they get up close.
*Previous* Kay is the standard 'dude that's
dense.' Doesn't seem to understand the significance of certain things in
life, still believes that the stork brings the babies. Though he's probably
just denying the truth. Usually good-tempered, yet unnoticeable most of
the time. Basically someone you can get along with, but don't expect much
intelligent conversations involving the whole squeaking bed bit ^_^.
-FIGHTING STYLE OBSERVATION-
Altered, but he still hits hard and fast,
quick footwork with strong attacks. Takes a generic kung fu stance, one
hand at waist level the other in front of his chest.
-BACKGROUND-
*Updated* He is Kay Lee, yet not Kay Lee; he is Darius, yet not Darius. But he gets a migraine trying to figure it out at times, so he just sticks to being known as Kay Lee, as he is in this incarnation. A fragmented mind like his could not hope to control the Essence of Wisdom, by combining the two are now in control of their abilities. Incredibly lazy now, however, but still holds the important aspects of Kay Lee, as that is his current incarnation.
*Previous* Of all the participants, Kay's past is the most mysterious, not knowing his own past (How mysterious can a person get not knowing their own pasts?! ^_^). Basically, found in the streets of the man-made island of Shad and taken in by a pair of restaurant owners who took pity on him and gave him a job and shelter. For a while, Kay was happy, good food, good drinks, and good living conditions. He didn't seem all that eager to seek out his past.
But this happiness would be short-lived however as a gang of thugs would burn down the restaurant and injure Po-lin and Wong-Mei in the process. Giving them the best care he could with the insurance money and money the trio had saved up. Kay left the leftover money to rebuild their restaurant. But the mysterious beating that he had given the thugs in his moment of rage was not lost on him, and he begins his quest anew to seek out his past. A man in a trenchcoat would find him, giving him the invitation and money for the tournament.
His past will be revealed, and it seems
that he has a bone to pick with M. Bison (Like thousands of others). Bison
had originally sought the secret techniques of the martial arts passed
down in Kay's family. The style is actually an exercise for the mind, encouraging
psychic ability. The technique has thrived within other martial arts as
each of Kay's ancestors were masters of their own styles, the family martial
arts remaining the basis of whatever style they utilized.
-MISCELLANEOUS TALENTS-
Running: He's a very good runner ^_^, it's also the basis of his Instant Step technique. Not to mention that he's very fast.
Telekinesis: Can lift things with his mind, like a burger from the table to his hand, because he doesn't need to get up and do it anymore.
Telepathy: Ability to speak to another's
mind. Not very good at it, but he can manage a few words if he tried really
hard. He's much better at telekinesis.
-THROWS-
Hurricanrana - Hops to grab his opponent with his legs around opponent's neck and flips downward, bringing his opponent slamming into the ground.
Knee Smash - Grabs his opponent by the back of the head and will repeatedly smash their face with his knee, until he kicks them away.
Flying Hurricanrana - A hurricanrana from
the air.
-SPECIAL MOVES-
Kiai Kyaku no Kay (Kay's Force Kick) - His own variation taken from his mentor, Hayato, Kay flies upward with one leg surrounded by swirling blue-white energy, he flips several times to attack his opponent a multiple number of times while doing so. Can be done mid-air, and it may be chained from with his other moves.
Hiryuu Kyaku (Flying Dragon Kick) - Kay flies forward with his leg, swirling with blue-white energy. Can be done in mid-air, and it can be chained with his other special moves as well.
Plasma Spin Kick - Kay leaps slightly into the air and spins with his leg, kicking his opponent overhead. His leg is surrounded by swirling energy which electrifies his opponent, stunning them. Can be done mid-air and chained with other moves.
(Note: If you recognized these moves, yes, I've been playing too much Guilty Gear X, and yes, I like Jam Kuradoberi very much. Sorry.)
Instant Step Unleashed - Disappears and reappears quicker than before, allowing him to attack or defend faster than before. Cannot be chained by the other moves.
Kinetic Burst - Focuses and shoots forward a large burst of kinetic energy, which goes a limited distance. (Halfway across the game screen) But it provides a powerful impact on his opponent. The stronger it is, the shorter its distance from himself. Cannot be chained.
Disperse - His 'parrying' ability. Disperses the power of any projectile attack sent at him, must perform multiple times on a SUPER MOVE. Each time he Disperses his opponent's attack, he gains more power in the process. Goes, "SHO!" each time he Disperses an attack.
Kinetic Blade - Lashes out with his kinetic
blade in instants. Can lash out forward, or diagonally up or down. After
he slashes out with it, it quickly disappears.
-SUPER TECHNIQUES-
Instant Melee - Opponent must not be blocking at this as he dashes on by. Once he "Instant Steps" past his opponent, they are bombarded with multiple series of attacks placed on them earlier during the "Instant Step" and only now just feel the massive amount of damage, though it's nothing much like the Shun Goku Satsu in terms of damage.
Kinetic Pillar - Rushes forward a short distance and grabs his opponent by the neck, holding them firmly as an eruption of blue energy bursts up from the ground in a pillar, causing damage to his opponent. Tosses them away once the attack is done.
Kinetic Charged Blade - He stands there gathering more energy into his Kinetic Blade which is held at his side. Blockable however, the attack grows stronger the longer he holds it, but still blockable. Easily dodged if prepared, though it draws out FAST!
Note - All his 'sword' would really do
in the fic would 'stun' the person now, it will only 'cut' when he concentrates.
He is certainly stronger than his normal self, but weaker than his previous
incarnation as Kay Lee Unleashed, as he knows how to pace himself better.
-INTRODUCTION-
1) (General) Sleeping standing up while opponent does his/her intro, wakes up in mild shock and says, "It's time already?"
2) (Vs. Acacia) Sleeping while standing up, wakes up to see Acacia, and yawns while he grins lazily while he stretches his arms over his head. "Oh, it's you."
3) (Vs. Victoria) Has a burger in his mouth as he waves hi to Victoria.
4) (Vs. Birdie) Rubs the top his head as he is noticeably sweating.
5) (Vs. Hong Kong twins in outfit 3) Sweats profusely.
6) (Vs. Acinomia) Looks solemn and shakes his head in puzzlement, as he clenches his fist.
7) (Vs. Iwa) Points randomly and shouts. "Even you! Even you!"
8) (Vs. Ayame) Slaps his forehead.
9) (Vs. Volpe) Grins as he holds up a stuffed Jigglypuff and dodges quickly as Volpe attempts to shoot it to pieces.
10) (Vs. Meliza) Pulls out at his empty
pockets and looks apologetically to her.
-TAUNT-
1) Yawns.
2) Beckons to his opponent as he says,
"I'm starting to fall asleep here."
-WIN POSES-
1) Wipes forehead and hand falls to his side with a, "Whew!"
2) Bends at one knee and extends on the other as he takes a low kung fu stance.
