Name: John Heagy
Age: 18
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 165 lb.
Nationality: South Korean
-CLOTHING / DESCRIPTION-
Stands relatively tall at 6'1" but looks rather thin and lanky. Rather muscular in build for such a thin frame though he still seems rather skinny. His arm muscles only have a medium build but his leg muscles are a good size. His solid black hair is cut short (similar to Ryu's or Guy's) and lies chaotically upon his head as if uncombed. He has narrow dark brown eyes that could easily be confused with black. A light olive tan for his complexion. No facial hair nor scars or any other marks appear visible. Easily underestimated due to his tall yet small frame.
Garb 1: A pair of thick Korean style solid black gi pants and a white thick gi top. The right sleeve of the gi has been torn or cut away and the left sleeve ends just below the elbow joint. A relatively snug fit but definitely not a tight one. A white belt of a martial artist is worn around the waist over the bottom of the gi shirt. Bare feet and black fighting gloves that almost reach the elbow in length. Sometimes appears in a white headband with the Korean flag in the middle, a pure white headband, or nothing around his forehead at all.
Garb 2: A pair of dark blue jeans that
fit perfectly with a thin leather belt. Either appears with a solid dark
black T-shirt or a white T-shirt with the Korean characters depicting "Quan
Jahng Nim" on the back in black symbols. Pair of dark gray high top style
Nike's and a pair of black fingerless gloves with impact padded knuckles.
The headbands are also optional.
-FIGHTING STYLE-
PaSaRyu - Means "Way of Honor" and is altered form of TaekwonDo combined with methods from Karate, Kung Fu, Tai Chi, and a small amount of Yoga. Form used by John is highly altered due to his use of ki during combat. All PaSaRyu martial artist are given or choose an animal name for them that represents their nature and fighting style.
John was dubbed "Wolf" as his character
animal and his fighting style often reflects this. One factor that gives
him the advantage over other PaSaRyu devotes is his use of ki, being the
only one who can easily channel his ki. Most of his moves seem very basic
and usually lack the raw power that others may have but they still can
get the job done. Ki attacks are often rather flashy looking but still
contain more bite than bark. The style of PaSaRyu was meant primarily as
a defensive fighting technique, but most stances allow easy and sudden
switch to offensive as well. John's own lack of self confidence will often
leave him fighting a defensive battle though, throwing attacks out whenever
possible. Stances vary depending on the situation but the primary fighting
stance has John with his left arm low and in front with his right arm about
elbow level. Ki attacks such as his Plasma Disk attack are used throughout
his fights at will though strong techniques such as the Ray of Light are
very rare. Unlike other fighters John has watched, he has decided not to
telegram his attacks by yelling out a name and will often only offer a
loud "Kiya!" type yell as the only warning. Only on rare occasions will
he yell out any sort of name to his techniques. Watching other fighters,
John is always thinking up new techniques and moves to use during a battle.
A major weakness in the way he fights is his use of his personal ki. Due
to his young age, he is still unable to tap into the infinite sources of
ki from all life around him during battle, relying on his own body's ki
for power. This can prove to be a huge weakness during the heat of battle
when a fighter doesn't have the time to rest. As his style states, he follows
his code of honor faithfully, though sometimes this can and has proved
to be awkward at best. A few rules such as "Never strike a female unless
in self-defense" in the past has left him in a total disadvantage. Several
others include "Never strike a yielded opponent, children, or non-combatants."
He follows his code of honor loyally though at times the rules may bend
slightly. With a large number of moves to draw from, he almost always has
a few moves left up his sleeve.
-SPECIAL MOVES-
Head Splitter - A front kick to the face followed by a knee with the other leg and a final axe kick to the skull in rapid succession.
Plasma Disk - A simple, small disk of pure ki. Light blue in appearance, it is easily formed and thrown. Slightly larger than 10 inches in diameter, it travels at a relatively fast rate though it is offset by a small impact area and light hitting power as it dissipates on impact. Probably the most used of all his ki attacks.
Fireball - A simple fireball projectile formed of pure ki and is light blue in appearance as well. The time needed to gather the required ki is greater than that of a Plasma Disk and moves slower. On the plus side, it has a large hitting area and has pure power that the Plasma Disk lacks. Burst on impact for more stunning power.
Rising Sun - Highly influenced by Ryu's Shoryuken, this punch begins with a simple rising right-handed uppercut followed by a left-handed uppercut and finally, an altered version of the dragon punch with more spiral.
Falcon's Wing - Seeing Master Falcon's Endless Roundhouse and Ryu's Tatsumakisenpukyaku, he combined both ending with this. Sacrificing the Hurricane Kick's steady height and long distance for a larger number of strikes. By alternating legs in midair, more strikes are delivered though often leaving the user very open after landing.
Howling Wolf Strike - A simple rush-in maneuver, this move uses a charging elbow strike toward the solar plexus and a back fist to the temple followed by a spinning reverse elbow to the ribs and a back fist to the face with the right arm. Often followed by the Fist of the Howling Wolf.
Fist of the Howling Wolf - A strong forward punch that takes a few moments in the reel back. This move also focuses ki into the fist for more power, capable of sending the opponent flying back a good distance. Often follows the Howling Wolf Strike.
Blade of Ki - The fast technique that uses ki, the Blade of Ki forms a type of energy sword out of pure ki. Blue white in appearance, it is easily formed and can strike hard and fast. Different combos are possible while the sword is activated. Due to the constant source of ki needed to generate and sustain the blade, it can only be maintained for a few moments.
Gathering Ki - Often called just "Energy",
this technique is used to effectively counteract his use of ki during combat.
Though this move restores ki, it requires a large amount of time to completely
restore the body's ki source. This stance leaves the user completely defenseless
and requires him to remain almost perfectly still while using his limbs
to gather ki and channel it throughout his body, restoring his natural
source.
-SUPER COMBO MOVES-
LEVEL 1:
Anger Burst - Not really a technique, as it is a curse. When the user is critically or feels a strong hatred toward something, it is possible for him to go into a fury of rage. During this time there is a dramatic increase in both power and speed though also a drop in defenses and common sense. Usually only lasting a few moments, this also leaves the user feeling exhausted and very weak. Unique to John, he tries his best to hide it.
Howling Wolf's Fury - A strong Howling Wolf Strike that is followed by wrapping the opponents neck under the arm and delivering several knee shots to the ribs and finally a pull-in powered up version of the Fist of the Howling Wolf.
Ray of Light - A strong ki attack that requires a large amount of time to charge up. When fired, a steady beam of pure ki is fired toward the opponent instead of a single bolt of ki. The higher discharge of ki requires longer time to charge and leaves the user drained afterwards.
LEVEL 2:
Ki Katana Multi-Slash - By forming the Blade of Ki, multiple strikes are delivered to the opponent at a rapid pace. This move targets vital points if possible such as the solar plexus, temple, nose, throat, neck, and skull. If all strikes land properly, it is quite possible to cause serious damage or even death if enough ki is used. Even if blocked this move hurts pretty badly, though it also leaves John very weak from the massive ki drain.
Il Dan Deadly Kata - A first-degree black
belt pattern which strikes seventeen vulnerable strike points. Starting
with a crane head strike to the groin and brought through the chin then
a heel of hand strike to the bridge of the nose. Bringing the right arm
around again you strike with crane head toward the groin then a to the
nose followed by a ridge hand to through the temple then hawk hand into
the eyes. Stepping out with the right food leads to a front fist to the
temple, then an elbow to the solar plexus, back fist to the nose, a knife
hand to the groin, and a elbow to the chin. Jumping and turning to the
side, coming down with a spear hand to the collar bone then another elbow
to ribs, followed by a reverse punch toward the chest and the final jump,
pull-in punch to the face. Ki can be used to increase damage and the final
punch but user's ki will be drained to a low point but if all strikes land
correctly, serious damage is caused.
LEVEL 3:
Final Hope Last Resort Technique - A last
ditch effort to win a battle, this technique practically loses the fight
for John if it misses. Once started, the technique follows through fully
leaving him completely open to attacks. This move uses every skill John
has available to him against his enemy in rapid succession with increased
power. All of this combined with the increased power and speed of each
move is enough to topple even the strongest opponent. The problem being
that to use the fighter must use all of his ki and be at the end of his
ropes as well. As soon as the technique is finished, the user basically
loses conscienceness until the balance of ki in his body is restored. Only
used one time by John, leaving him bedridden for 2 days.
-BASIC THROWS-
Breather - A basic over the shoulder throw that tosses an opponent a good distance a way for light damage but also gains breathing space for John.
Ally Oop - A suplex type throw that seems at of place for John. Can cause a good amount of damage if he slams them down hard.
See Ya - A roll-up flip kick used by pulling
the opponent in then rolling onto the back and thrusting the enemy over
with the leg, often causing a good amount of pain for the enemy.
-TAUNTS-
Guys:
John limbers up a few limbs and yawns before
resuming his fighting stance.
John crosses his arms and taps his foot
impatiently.
Girls - John smirks and mutters something
about a tomboy.
-BACKGROUND STORYLINE-
Born in Seoul, South Korea, the young lad never got to experience much of South Korea for he was orphaned soon after. Abandoned on a snowy Police stoop. When the police found him there was only a note with his birth date on it. As they read the note a lady was seen running down the road, police never identified her. The young boy was put in an orphanage but was adopted by kind and loving parents before he was even three months old. Terry and Wanda were kind and loving parents from the United States. Raised in the backwoods of Mississippi and deemed John, he never wondered why he was different from the other kids nor looked different. Raised by good parents, he soon became full-fledged Christian. As he grew older he started having fascinations with the martial arts and Bushido. A strange natural ability to manipulate ki begin to emerge. His parents at age six told him he was adopted but he didn't care, after all, his adopted parents were the only family he had ever known his entire life. After seeing a fighter named "Ryu" competing in a large tournament, his life took a sharp turn. In mimicking Ryu's Hadouken move, the young lad accidentally gathered up his ki at age seven, although only succeeding in letting it explode in his hands, completely trashing his room. At this points his parents sent him to live with Master Jackie "Falcon" Smith, a student of Grand Master Kang Rhee, establisher of the PaSaRyu martial arts. Master Falcon trained the boy in the "Way of Honor" but also making sure the boy gained the knowledge he'd need in the real world. Training for ten long years, the young man finally reached Il Dan or first-degree black belt. Being the only PaSaRyu martial artist to use ki also gave him a certain advantage during fights. At age sixteen John left to visit his parents as he normally did, promising to return soon so that he might continue his training. The days quickly went by as he met up with some local teenagers. Soon almost three weeks had gone by before he had returned to the dojo. Sadly the grand master had passed away by unknown reasons and had been buried near the dojo. Though John did nothing, he felt solely responsible for his late master's death. Removing his black belt and taking up the white belt, promising himself that he would never break his word again. Moving back with his parents' home in Saltillo, Mississippi and enrolling in Saltillo High School. Luckily his master had taught enough to easily get by through school, save his oriental heritage. After a long year his life finally begin settling down. He began to make friends due to his personality.
He enrolled in another PaSaRyu dojo keeping
his true rank a secret, he was the best student there though he refused
to advance in belt, saying he would when he felt it right. During this
time a letter came for the PaSaRyu organization about a worldwide tournament.
It was sent towards him due to his techniques in ki manipulation. Not knowing
what to do he declined. A week later he received a second letter inviting
him, this time with a plane ticket and promising him knowledge of his past
and where his unusual gift in the use of ki came from. Believing that he
would learn some about his mysterious origin, he decided to go. After telling
his parents, they asked him not to go of course. John never answered and
went to his room and secretly began packing. In the middle of the night
he left a note explaining to his parents why he had left and how he needed
to know where he came from. Taking with him nothing but a backpack full
of clothes and his fighting gear, about $100 dollars in cash from his savings,
the plane ticket, and the letters about the tournament. As he walked silently
and briskly down the night road, he wondered what fate had dealt him in
life.
-ATTITUDE & BEHAVIOUR-
A relatively calm and reserved young man
that is very shy and bashful, especially around people he doesn't know.
Usually quiet, he's not really a cheerful young man but doesn't act glum
either. Quite often appears to go into deep thought. Generally polite and
respectful to his elders though he usually tries to avoid conversation.
Has a hard time expressing his emotions and lacks good communication skills.
Handles pressure terribly, gets quite nervous around crowds. Low self-confidence
being one of his many weaknesses. Not really a person who enjoys fighting
but willing to fight in a heartbeat to defend his honor. Considerably more
bashful around girls, which he has little experience in. Lack of social
life due to studies, work, and training has left him quite alien to this
area. He doesn't quite grasp a woman's right during a fight due to his
code of honor. If possible he will try and use light take downs and blocks
until he gets into trouble. Unsure in himself and believes to be weak and
thinks he'll lose the tournament early but he's determined to try his best
to win. Often underestimated due to his thin frame, which he takes full
advantage of during a fight. Lack of self-confidence and very bad socializing
skills, mixed with a variety of other emotions, leave him easily standing
out among any crowd. This also leaves him as a loose cannon to many.
-VICTORY POSES-
Against Ryu or any other famous warriors - His eyes open wide as he rubs them and blinks a few times, an unsure look on his face.

-FIRST ROUND ANIMATIONS-
Against Legendary Street Fighters - Gulps loudly then bows with a nervous look on his face and takes up a shaky fighting stance then settles down.
Against Normal Opponents - He straightens out his gi and tightens his belt then pops his back and joints before bowing and quickly assumes a battle stance. He does a few hurried warm-ups before tightening his shoelaces. He might pull a headband out of his pocket and tie it. He then bows and assumes his fighting stance.
Against Female Opponents - He does a few
warm-up punches facing away then turns around, he looks shocked and blushes
slightly before scratching the back of his head then glances around and
looks for another opponent then assumes a lazy stance before assuming the
real thing.
