OVERVIEW:

Crimson is a speed-based character, meaning his moves and defense aren't that good, but his speed, agility and priority are average to above average. Crimson has a tough time against power-based characters (example: ShockWave), but can fight well against other speed-based and well-rounded characters (example: Volpe). His physical assets favor speed based attacks over strength.

Crimson's best quality is that he has very good stamina, and can outlast an opponent on sheer youthful energy. However, he's easily frustrated, and that can mean he won't make the best decisions while on the battlefield, which usually is the cause of him losing matches. His slight advantage over certain BF characters is that his "super bar" fills up extremely quick, due to him not having the best priority moves and only average strength.

----------------------------
APPEARANCE\OUTFIT:
----------------------------

HEIGHT: 6'1

- Tall for his age. At 6'1, Crimson stands taller than most everyone in Board Fighter.

WEIGHT: 150

- At a mere 150 pounds, Crimson is obviously pretty skinny. While he does weight-train, and eat like crazy, he still stays at about the same weight, which usually hovers around 149 to 152 pounds. Even though he's skinny, he still has muscle definitions in his arms, torso and legs.

HEAD

- An aerodynamic look of sorts. Rounded head, but a slight dip in the jaw area perfect for growing a slight goatee (lol). Crimson basically has the look of the normal guy, but for someone who commits so many practical jokes, his face is almost always serious-looking. His brown eyes are half-lidded although he keeps his eyes and brows slightly raised all the time. His hair is tailored to his liking: No sideburns whether it's the cornrow or afro look. In his left ear are two earrings. Crimson also wears a Nike headband to keep sweat off his forehead that matches whatever color his outfit is.

TORSO & LEGS

- Crimson now wears the Bushinryuu outfit, but custom-tailored to his preference. The outfit has six color variations, ala Street Fighter Alpha 3. The first listed colors in "A-Ism" are his main and secondary outfits. All the others are special outfits.

Note: In A and V-Ism, Crimson's hair is cornrowed.

A-Ism 1: Tan Bushinryuu Outfit.
A-Ism 2: Dark Yellow Bushinryuu Outfit.
V-Ism 1: Cerulean Blue Bushinryuu Outfit.
V-Ism 2: Dark Gold Bushinryuu Outfit.

Note: "X-Ism" Crimson wears his hair in his traditional afro while wearing these outfit colors.

X-Ism 1: Red Bushinryuu Outfit.
X-Ism 2: Black Bushinryuu Outfit.

ARMS

- On Crimson's arms while in battle are armguards that go from wrist to elbow. There are three variations for the armguard colors... Black armguards for the A-Ism colors, grey armguards for the V-Ism colors, and red armguards for the X-Ism colors.

FEET

- On Crimson's feet are the latest Air Jordans, the Retro Jordan XI's. He has them in six variable colors to match his outfits. The colors go as follows with the outfits:

1. Tan Bushinryuu Outfit = Black\Black Retro Jordan XI's.
2. Dark Yellow Bushinryuu Outfit = Black\Black Retro Jordan XI's.
3. Cerulean Blue Bushinryuu Outfit = Grey\Grey Retro Jordan XI's.
4. Dark Gold Bushinryuu Outfit = Grey\Grey Retro Jordan XI's.
5. (X-Ism) Red Bushinryuu Outfit = Black\Red Retro Jordan XI's.
6. (X-Ism) Black Bushinryuu Outfit = Black\Red Retro Jordan XI's.

------------------------
FIGHTING STANCE:
------------------------

- Crimson settles into the standard Bushinryuu fighting stance, his body sideways to the opponent, and his left leg in front of his right with his left foot raised slightly off the ground. Left arm is rigid and raised only slightly from his waist. Right arm is rose up to his shoulder, his hand in a fist while the left hand is left loose with the fingers waggling as if a playing a piano. Crimson's expression is serious all the while.

Moving forward, Crimson walks toward the opponent with his arms at his side balled into fists.

Moving backwards, Crimson arches his back slightly as he keeps his one arm in front of him, but his other arm behind his back.

Blocking, Crimson puts his arms in an X in front of him. While on the ground, Crimson uses the same X, except he guards his face. In the air, Crimson raises his knee to deflect the attack while keeping his arms in the X fomation.

PERSONALITY:
------------------

PRACTICAL JOKER:

- Crimson loves to play practical jokes on everyone, so no one is safe. Even though he loves to play the practical joke, only from his good friends does he like to be the recipient of a practical joke. As a comedian, he's pretty good as well. He can make almost anybody laugh, with maybe the exception of Zero1. Sometimes, Crimson will tell a joke that no one but him will get, but never will tell a joke in bad taste, although it may be at the wrong time.

SHOW-OFF:

- For a pretty lady, Crimson will try his best to impress her, whether it's with his
singing\rapping\sports ability, or perhaps getting into a short sparring match with another BF character. Crimson also will show off his new Jordans whenever and to whomever he can, for he has six different pairs.

(Insert Type Here) FANATIC:

- Crimson is a fanatic for these things, in no particular order: Air Jordans, Cheese Nips, Coca-Cola, Street Fighter games, headbands, and Tyra Banks posters. If he can, Crimson will always make an effort to have some of each nearby, priority given to Air Jordans, Tyra Banks posters, and Coca-Cola.

HIP-HOP SLANG:

- A person who talks to Crimson will usually hear these words in his verbal repetoire:

"Illmatic.", "Off the hook!", "Straight up!", "Chillin'...", "What's the dealy-o?",
"A-ight...", "Mos def!", "... Say wha...?", "Straight devious!", "...That blows the big one." and "Truly evil..."

Translations...

Illmatic = Cool, or great.
Off the hook = Cool, or great.
Straight up! = Seriously!
Chillin' = Doing alright.
What's the dealy-o? = What's going on?
A-ight = Okay.
Mos def! = Most definitely!
Say wha...? = Say what?
Straight devious! = Something either truly cool, or something of awesome proportions.
...That blows the big one = That sucks.
Truly evil = Something real cool, or something of awesome proportions.

SKILLS:
----------

Musical Skills:

- Crimson can sing\rap and is very good at both, but he prefers to rap mainly because he's better at it.

Sports:

- Crimson is good at football, baseball and basketball, basketball being his best sport, even though he likes football more. He can dunk with minimal effort, and can shoot pretty well. Baseball is his least skillful sport. He can hit and field very well, but he was never a good power hitter. In football, he's a great quarterback and can easily throw a football forty yards accurately to another player.

Makes up his own language\Uses words from the movies:

- When Crimson is really ticked off, which is hardly ever unless he's really made a fool of himself, he'll use words not known to the English language or words he's heard from movies.

Example: "Where in the republic of Sovereignity are those confounded Air Jordans?"

Other Skills:

- Crimson can draw. He's a good graphical artist and cartoonist, and prefers to draw in his own style, although his drawings have hintings of anime mixed in.

- Crimson can dance with the best of them. He's not up to say, *NSYNC's caliber when it comes to "gettin' down", but he definitely can hold his own on the dance floor.

- Although he'll swear he hasn't, Crimson has memorized the lyrics to several of *NSYNC's songs. (lol)

LK Crouching: A simple tap kick at the opponent's feet.

HK Crouching: Sweep kick.

HP Aerial: High-priority strike aimed downward as if firing a Zankuu Hadouken.

----------------------------
MOVE DESCRIPTIONS:
----------------------------

- EX Standard Moves

1. Bushin Zenten Dash (Bushin Forward Dash): Crimson dashes forward a couple of paces to gain ground on his opponent. This move is not invincible, and Crimson can be knocked out of this forward dash with any move.

2. Bushin Kouten Dash (Bushin Backward Dash): Crimson dashes backward to put some ground between himself and the opponent. This back dash in not invincible, and Crimson can be knocked out of this one with any move.

3. Bushin Kasshu Waza (Bushin Sliding Kick Technique): Crimson performs a sliding kick that hits the opponent twice by the leg area and trips them.

4. Bushinryuu Goukenda (Bushin-style Powerful Fist Strike): Crimson steps in hard toward his opponent and performs a hard fist strike that has very high priority, the only drawback being that the move is very quick and may miss. This move will knock down an airborne opponent, and stagger a grounded opponent.

5. Bushin Bokukyaku Geki (Bushin Striking Leg Attack): Crimson performs a F + HK attack exactly the same as Guy.

6. Bushin Kuuchuu Geki (Bushin Aerial Attack): Crimson performs an airborne backflip that hits the opponent twice as he comes down from the attack. Very good priority, but is not one of Crimson's best standard moves.

- Special Moves

1. Bushin Gyaku Kudaki (Bushin Reverse Breaker): Crimson's take on Guy's Houzantou, with the exception that he hits lower, aiming for the opponent's abdomen. If close enough, the attack will hit twice, like X-Ism Ryu's F + HP attack. Has slight lag time if the opponent successfully blocks the attack. This attack can knock a character out of the air if the opponent is coming down from a jump. The move can be linked from standard moves.

2. Bushin Shou Hassouken (Bushin Rising Eight-Chained Fist): Leaping into the air, Crimson hits the opponent four times in a weaker version of his level one super combo, then flips off them in a backflip kick to land back on the ground. If not successful, the opponent has a chance to catch Crimson with a counterattack. The move can be blocked in the air, but if the initial first hit connects the rest of the attack will follow automatically. Significant lag time if Crimson misses with this attack. This move can be chained from standard moves.

3. Bushin Shoujinkyaku (Bushin Rising Blade Kick): Crimson's variation of the
Tatsumaki-Senpukyaku. Instead of a whirlwind kick that propels him forward, Crimson launches straight up into the air while moving forward and revolves his leg a maximum of four times. This move can also be done in the air, unlike Guy's. Hits up to four times. Standard lag time if Crimson misses with this attack. This move can also be linked from standard punch\kick attacks.

4. Bushin Komatsuki Otoshi (Bushin Spinning Crescent Drop): Similar to his teacher Guy, Crimson catches a standing or jumping opponent with a very quick mid-air suplex. If not successful in catching the opponent, Crimson can also thrust downward with his elbow similar to Guy. Standard lag time if Crimson misses with the suplex. This move has no standard or special move it can be linked to\from.

5. Bushinryuu Hadouryuken (Bushin-style Surging Dragon Fist): Crimson's self-taught fireball. He will thrust whichever hand forward, and chi energy will travel forward for about ten feet, then dissipate. The farther it takes for the fireball (Which resembles Chun-Li's SFA3 Kikouken or Ryu's SSF2 Hadouken) to connect with the opponent, the weaker it'll become. This move can fall an airborne opponent, and can be super-canceled into the Bushin Hadoukuzushii. Can be linked from standard attacks. Slight lag time.

- SUPER COMBOS -

1. Bushin Odorujinkyaku (Bushin Dancing Slash Kick): Crimson's SC variation of Guy's Bushin-Gouraikyaku, which moves faster and connects with more hits as well. Crimson rushes forward in a multiple-hit Houzantou attack, backflips off his opponent, follows up with four more kicks, then performs a flowing strong roundhouse kick (level 3 version described here). This move can trap an airborne opponent jumping into the attack, and the last kick is unblockable while in the air. There's almost no lag time for this move, and Crimson recovers fairly easily if he misses with this attack. The combo can be linked from standard moves as well.

(Hit Count: Level One, 5 hits. Level Two, 7 hits. Level Three, 9 hits.)

2. Bushin Goushou Hassouken (Bushin Great Rising Eight-Chained Fist): Crimson lifts off into several rising punch attacks to catch an airborne opponent. The initial two hits of this attack are unblockable in the air, and the rest of the attack will follow automatically. However, if Crimson's too far from his opponent, only the two initial hits will connect on the level one\two version(s), and three hits for the max level version. The attack cannot be linked to\from standard moves, but can be followed up with any level one or two super combo if Crimson times it correctly. High lag time if the move misses, and this move is unblockable in the air.

(Hit Count: Level One, 4 hits. Level Two, 5 hits. Level Three, 6 hits.)

3. Bushin Hadoukuzushii (Bushin Surging Demolisher): Crimson brings his fist behind him (ala Dan Hibiki) momentarily while his entire arm swirls in red chi energy, then thrusts his arm forward releasing a significantly bigger version of his normal Hadouryuken. While impressive-looking, Crimson's strongest Hadoukuzushii would take the same amount of energy as Dan's Level Two Shinkuu-Gadouken (while Dan is up close to an opponent). Unblockable if the opponent is airborne at the time the move connects. Can be linked from standard moves, and super-canceled from the Bushin Hadouryuken. Very minor lag time.

(Hit Count: Level One, 5 hits. Level Two, 7 hits. Level Three, 9 hits.)

4. Chou Waza no Bushinryuu (Super Technique of the Bushin Style): Crimson's take on Guy's Bushin Musourenge. From a close distance, Crimson grabs the opponent and goes into a dazzling array of kicks and punches as the surrounding area flashes red and black, only seeing Crimson and his opponent as shadows (like in SFAlpha2Gold or SFAlpha3 when Guy performs the super combo). This is Crimson's strongest attack, which can take 40% of an opponent's vitality. This move must be countered with an attack, due to the fact that it's unblockable.

(Hit Count: Level Three ONLY, 8 hits.)

Note: All the quotes for Crimson's moves are the names of the moves he performs, with the exception of his EX Standard Moves, where he'll give out a "YEAH!" or karate shout to emphasize the strength of his move, and the Chou Waza no Bushinryuu, in which Crimson will say "Hissatsu...!".

-----------------
INTRO POSES:
-----------------

1. Bouncing a basketball idly, Crimson drops it and lets it roll offscreen before getting into his fighting stance.

2. Crimson stands sideways looking at his opponent with one hand in his pocket and the other in a come-here gesture and says one of the three: "Let's do this!", "Are you ready?", or "Here we go!"

3. (Versus Guy): Special intro where both kick through twin sets of barrels on each side of the stage where they come in.

4. (Versus Volpe): Special intro where Crimson puts out his fist in Volpe's direction as a sign of respect with a smile on his face before setting up into his fighting stance.

5. (Versus all Shadaloo characters, except Bison): Crimson runs up with shadow images of himself trailing him before sliding into his fighting stance.

---------------------
VICTORY POSES:
---------------------

1. Crimson turns his back to the opponent and says, "What a cool move..."

2. Crimson folds his arms at chest level and smiles at the opponent. "It's all good!"

3. Crimson turns his back and does a pose very similar to Charlie's while saying, "Illmatic!"

4. Crimson raises one of his hands to face level, then brings it down and says, "What a cool move..."

-----------------------
VICTORY QUOTES:
-----------------------

1. "You are just so outclassed..."
2. "Get it through your head. Bushin style just can't be defeated!"
3. "A better strategy is what you could've used..."
4. "My speed is better than your... Hm. What were you good at again?"
5. "If the hand is quicker than the eye, what is Bushin quicker than...?"
6. "What style was that? Really? Use something else."

8. "That was over... in a flash! Hahaha!!!"

STORYLINE:
---------------

Marcus Redd was once a troubled teenager who was initiated into the notorious Mad Gear crime syndicate in Metro City under the nickname "Crimson". He wanted to leave the organization, but couldn't find the means to do so, and regretfully stayed in the gang, his rap sheet rising with every crime he accompanied and did... But one day, the heroes of Metro City (Guy, Cody, Haggar, Dean, etc.) were able to infiltrate and defeat Mad Gear, bringing down the once-mighty crime syndicate. Marcus realized that he had nowhere to go after Mad Gear was taken down, and couldn't go back to his family, for they had believed gang life surely killed him... The Bushin hero, Guy, realized that Marcus still had good and him, and saw that he wanted to change his life. And while Haggar and Cody would've been fine with leaving Marcus to the authorities, Guy took him under his wing.

In his travels with Guy, Marcus had soon shown an interest in Guy's fighting art, Bushinryuu, and expressed his desire to learn it as well. Guy, although not a true master himself, decided to begin to teach Marcus the basics and the fundamentals of Bushinryuu. Guy was impressed with Marcus and how fast he took to learning the simple basics and fundamentals and asked him if he wanted to actually become a true Bushin. Marcus realized if he did want to go through with becoming a true student of Bushin, he would have to approach it with a true mentality to devote himself to learning the way of a Bushin Ninja. While still young, Crimson accepted. Now, with a new path as a Bushin-in-training, Marcus is learning what decisions and paths he must take to follow the road to becoming a legitimate student and what it takes to become a master of Bushinryuu...
