(A day has passed since last and all fighters are back on the Isle)
"Hurry, honey! Hurry! I want to see them!" He spoke leading on his partner slowly trudging behind him.
"Don't let me slow you down, go ahead and I'll catch up. Here take the camera and get some pictures."
He took the camera and went ahead setting the hand held machine as he did. She tried to hurry up behind him, but her city life made her no match to be an expert in forest hiking like her newly wed husband. How they met was a bizarre story. How they decided to get married matched that. What kept them together was the easy ramblings of two love-sick birds. "She's/He's everything I'm not and always wanted."
What he brushed off as falling shaded pallet of Autumn colored leaves, she took out her trusty umbrella and began beating away the giants with infinite arms. Finally, she saw solace in the upcoming stream. Already on the same knee he proposed to her on, her husband snapped pictures of the wild silence. Deer taking a drink on the brook and the wind in anyone's hair could cause zealous peace.
"Henry, where in these forests are we?" She asked peering into her Rolex watch.
Henry put the camera cord around his neck allowing the petite machine to fall hitting his chest. He then looked at his compass and smiled at the exact coordination of their location, "This is where I designed the landscape for the client that owns this island." He looked down the stream to an old cabin that couldn't be seen unless you looked carefully and methodically. He spent endless nights working on plans. With the lucrative pension he received from that man, he retired before he married his wife while promising her everything she wanted. He lived a life of luxury and could give his future children all he never had.
"Wow," Elisa replied at the covert cabin, "It blends like a Monet." Suddenly a cell phone rang.
"Yes, this is Henry Son."
A voice echoed down the hallways as if many a persons have spoken the same in discord, "Perfect…"
"ITAI!!!!!!!! OWIE!!!!!!!!" Cried the helpless one at the mercy of an over-excited Miko and the doom of her first aide kit.
Chun-Li sadly shook her head, "-Glad that's not me."
"What was that Mrs. Hoshi?" Miko asked as if Chun-Li was actually conversing normally with her.
"Mrs. Hoshi?!?!" Chun-Li exclaimed. She didn't even realize she was standing up and her coffee cup now lay in pieces on the floor.
Miko didn't even look twice at the fallen cup, she used her extra enhanced sense of smell, "You spilled your coffee!!!!!! I'll clean it up! In matter fact! This whole place is a disaster! It's time to clean!!!!"
"No, trust me it's completely unnecessary-"
"Weeeeeeeeeee!!!" Miko ran around the condo mop in one hand, vacuum in the other.
Chun-Li glanced over at Claude and sighed, "It's going to be a long day."
Suddenly a bucket of soapy water fell atop Chun-Li's head drenching her and her terry cloth bathrobe, "…Miko!"
"Agent Li?" Questioned a confused person from the wide opened front door.
Chun-Li usually wore proper attire infront of others, but when they took the risk of walking this early to her place, she offered no guarantees, "Hello Investigator Volpe. How may I help you?"
"Um, you said you wanted to ask me some questions about the revival issue?"
"Can't you see I'm kind of not ready?" She almost commanded.
Before a response, Chun-Li's cleaning Miko appeared on the spot, "If you wish to enter please remove your shoes and I'll make some coffee for you! Do you like sugar, cream, half and half? Huh? Huh? Huh?"
Behind Miko stood such an angry Chinese woman that you could probably cook a nice tasty omelet atop her head. "Volpe," she slowly began gritting her teeth, "-This is Miko. Take her and show her around the island away from here!"
"Y-Yes ma'am," gulped the Air Force officer.
"Weeeeeeeeeee!" Chirped the newly created earthling. She indeed was born yesterday. (((Insert great nodding)))
"Wow, I've never seen the forests of the island in such a beautiful state," Kumori gleefully stated snapping pictures with her dependable disposable camera.
Her bestfriend began conversing with a raised eyebrow, "We've been here how long and you don't remember what this island looks like? Maybe you should have stayed in bed today. You're probably still groggy from our… hmmm… portal trip."
"Ha! Atleast I got out of bed! Ayame hasn't even left her bedroom. She said she's waiting for Kay-"
Suddenly the environment got quiet as realization hit both young women. Whistling began and the two walked off, Kumori snapping her pictures and Iwa petting Brand while Maru was off fighting with another squirrel for an acorn.
~*~*~ 5 minutes later ~*~*~
"So," Kumori began, "I guess all the essences are starting to get recognized."
Iwa nodded, "Starting to, yeah. But I don't know whether that's good or bad."
"How so?"
"Bison wants the essences. It's so obvious that if the nine of us can gather to produce a power that can defeat a God, imagine that power wielded in the hands of a psychotic."
Kumori nodded, "Yeah, makes the atomic bomb look like a BB gun."
"Yeah, we're gathered, we just need to be recognized."
"Iwa-chan," the magic bearer pensively pondered. Sometimes didn't seem right. Taking into consideration the situation, it was normal to be a candidate of cautious forbearance, but Kumori's anxious behavior had a basis for thought. "Hey, look! News crew! A male and female reporter I'm assuming. I've never really noticed their wandering."
"Bah, the United States presidential election has the mass media drawing every air time minute they can. Who would want to see a congregation of really skilled fighters out to prove their strength?"
Kumori could name about a million fans, but all of them fell into the category of video gamer and otaku, and she knew how those type of people acted. ^_~ She shrugged with a grin, "You don't see me or anyone else, but the losers, complaining." After a pause of Iwa and Kumori watching the news crew wander the woods, they came to realize an ironic situation. "If a news crew is here to record fights, how come they're in the middle of the woods?"
"-And I wonder if they know they're in a desolate area where there is a rumored Bison camp nearby…" Iwa muttered.
Kumori gasped as she gripped her friend's arm, "Iwa-chan! Look!"
She didn't even have to predict what rustled those nearby bushes by the predicted news crew. Iwa was even doubting the fact that they were a news crew. No cameras or advanced technology graced their presence. All they had were backpacks and a stereotypical tourist camera. In any other situation, Iwa would have already been down to the foreigners in a flash, but something didn't feel right. She felt like her intervening would pose a threat toward… something big. -Bigger than her.
Suddenly, "Yo! Iwa! Kumori!"
The two couldn't deny that voice. They turned seeing a long almost lost friend, "Lilly!!"
The pink lady clad with life ran up as if she were in a track meet race. It was one thing to have your friends go missing for a few days because they were training for a fight, but the whole portal warping thing was kind of pushing it. Plus Lilly was a person you just couldn't say 'good-bye' to w/out wondering if that was your final good-bye to her or not.
"Oh I found you two just in time! Did you hear? The computers at the main center had a virus sent and now all power is gone. The fights have been postponed for the next few days. Yang was relieved because he was scheduled to fight Karin."
In the background a waiting Yang stood and with his hand he swept his long fingers through his bangs giving him that "oh yes I'm beautiful" look.
Iwa, very unimpressed with the narcissism innuendo just raised an eyebrow thinking -atleast he doesn't have a mirror. Kumori blushed a little, but the moment soon past for the three girls knew Lilly and him were inseparable.
Lilly pulled Kumori's arm away from the sun set and the woods, "Come on! Did you hear the latest news? Kay, Zero1 and Crimson have been missing for awhile and Meliza thinks they've been kidnapped by Locke. We're organizing a search party for them."
Out of sheer forgetfulness, Kumori followed Lilly. Iwa paused, she never let innocent people suffer, but she felt mortal intervention was incomprehensible toward divine intervention. She sighed knowing that in the war to save the world, there will be battles beyond her vision, evil versus good and causalities of war. "Hopefully, this will finally complete the essences."
"It will," replied TS. She finally realized that she wasn't the only one aware. She knew that if a demigod didn't intrude on this, that her presence alone would only cause irritations and problems in the long run.
"We need to stop Naar," TS began again.
"You know," Iwa began talking with the invisible one many steps behind the skipping Lilly and Kumori. "-For immortals this plan is pathetic."
A chuckle ensued, "We're immortal, we're not perfect." A gust of wind signaled his ending.
"I wish he would speak up some more when he's around," Iwa said to herself.
The being traveled back to place of refuge from the world. He reviewed his 'must do this Earth week' list and smiled, "Now comes the fun part."
"Elisa! Elisa!! Where are you?!?! Elisa!!!" Henry hollered for his wife. He couldn't understand. She was behind him just five minutes ago. The sun set faster than they expected, almost too fast. Now, what seemed as familiar ground to Henry, he stumbled while calling aloud Elisa's name. He heard nothing. He also knew, she wasn't stupid enough to wander off and get lost. She had a compass, plus her cell phone and he had a beeper. He ran his dirty trodden fingers through his messy brown hair caring less and less of sanitary or sanity for that matter. How could he lose the woman he loved like that? It was as if her disappearance was planned because the two would have found eachother by now. All that surrounded him were tall trees wanting to grab his with their extending branches. The babbling brook that laughed at him as if it knew something he didn't. The gusts of wind to confuse his logical thinking and… "Ahhhhhh!!!"
Loosing place upon the ground, Henry's foot caused his entire body to deep fall into the great precipice that he never knew existed before. He thought he knew this island exactly. He helped design it to the very last square inch, until that psycho owner killed his partner. His decent upon the narrow edging grounds proved no solace.
Everytime he extended his hands to stop the always smacked the nearby flora and fauna. He tried using his legs and feet to stop, the end result caused him to sprain his ankle. The fall seemed endless and before he realized it, he fell past the artificial wild environment to a desolate lagoon beach. Ironic as it was, the lagoon held white gorgeous quartz filled sand, then in the shape of a human body, black sand outlined a one specific spot. Henry dipped his hands deep into the white sand, which shone nobly in the full moon. He then dragged his ragged body, filled with dripping blood from nature's beauty and his sprained ankle, to the black sand outline. He felt the outline with his scarred fingers to realize,
"This isn't black sand." He looked deeper
at the sand within the outline,
"T-this is Elisa's body size." One question
rang in his mind,
"Where is she?" He fell on his stomach
finally realizing his strength diminished to a bare minimum. But he didn't
care, all he cared about was, "Elisa!!!"
He walked into his favorite room. It had only been his room for a brief time, but it was his favorite. Away from the annoyances of people and the local environment. Yet his hacking into the main frame camera caused him to view the entire island, minus the desolate areas, so he could keep a careful watch of this death isle. He checked the computers and checked the automatic print outs briefly for any questionable acts. -Then he looked away from the island cameras toward his base security cameras.
"Acinomia," he began. The name rippled off his lips like a melody. No, he wasn't going to burst into song and dance like that pink clad Hibiki fellow, but he felt similar joy knowing she was the key to get Bison to pay or get the covert military team, who are allies with the local fighters, to pay ransom. If neither wishes to spend a dime on her, killing her wouldn't be a problem. Yet, she did kill that essence Crista.
"If Acinomia was easy to kidnap and kill, then I could have killed Crista and her essence in my sleep." He knew she was an essence, but which one, he didn't. If Bison suspected, which he did according to the profiles, she had a very good chance. "I wonder what's going to happen now. If the essences aren't gathered… then what could happen?"
As his thoughts were being muddled silently, a dependable appliance of technology sounded.
Broken thoughts, led to a brief panic. "D*mn, I didn't know Bison worked this quick. His headquarters aren't even completely restored. I made sure of it." He did a quick check back on his headquarters and realized systems were in response 70%. Locke's eyes widened, "No s***…" He knew evasive maneuvers had to be taken quickly. He took out a gun and made sure it was loaded. "I can't afford to lose my money now." He put on his jacket. Stuffed his new cellular phone in his pocket, which had the capability to hack in other systems as well as a regular computer, and cocked his gun. He ran a quick virus over his computers until they all shut down and he was in total darkness. Now the real fun began. He went over to the room he had just monitored and kicked it open. Acinomia looked so peaceful. Noticing this rarity, Locke took a picture from his cell phone, then raised the gun at her. "You'll be peaceful for a lot longer than both you and I expected."
"Lord Bison, we've picked up on Locke's secret hide out," Vega spoke aloud to his master.
Bison rubbed his fingers together and smiled, "Take Jin and that fool Memphis."
"To apprehend Locke, Lord Bison?"
Vega questioned.
"Does it look like I want a traitor
amongst us? He's been replaced by Jin. Just make sure what-ever essences
he's kidnapped are still alive. I believe Acinomia, though, isn't an essence."
Vega almost smiled in joy, "May I play with her, sir?"
Bison, immediately outraged, jumped to his feet, "Imbecile! She defeated an essence! She wields so much power, she could defeat you, Memphis and Jin combined if she's given the opportunity!"
Bowing incredibly, Vega disagreed, but never admitted freely his thoughts, "Yes sir. All essences and Acinomia are to be brought back here."
"That's right, Vega. Now get out
of here, you're perversion disgusts me."
"Yes sir," the Spanish psycho spoke
and left.
Watching a video of Acinomia fighting, he smiled, "It shall be me who gets to play with her."
Within that minute, a man walks through the door, "We've found Cammy, sir. It seems she's been to the side of an Air Force officer. I believe you know the man called Charlie."
Bison smiled flashing his pearly whites, "Send the twins after Cammy. This ought to be interesting."
"Yes sir," the man said and left.
"Brother! Oh Brother! Where are you hiding now?!" The young girl with braided pigtails jumped around the jungle gym in their backyard. She knew of all the good hiding places, she also knew that there were no good hiding places in the backyard.
Scoffing, she put her hands on her hips, "I'm going to count to ten and if you're not out by then, I'm telling mom!"
***Silence***
"Fine! Be a brat! One! Two!"
***More Silence***
She rolled her eyes crossing her arms, "Three! Four! Five!"
Before she even thought of six a sudden chill ran up her spine. The only chill you would get if a sudden attack were ambushed upon your nerves that intertwined with your vertebrae. "-Wind?" She question. Slowly, she turned seeing the direction of the wind. Instead, it was smiling brother. His eye penetrated hers deep to a point where she swore, he could read her mind and almost recite her exact feelings at that particular moment. She loved her brother with all her heart, she knew, though, he was just creepy. He smiled a half smile. A covert smile blared obvious, emotions ran deep into mystery.
"Who are you?" Natalie caught herself saying aloud. She covered her mouth quickly, "Oh, brother sorry… I-"
"That, sister, is something you will know in time," He smiled and walked away before she finished her apology because he knew an apology shouldn't be given for the truth.
*Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding…* The annoying noise echoed throughout the cabin area.
Nadie couldn't believe that of all things that woke her up from her dejavu dream, her trusty alarm clock. The tiny machine reverberated the blunt sounds of a realistic world where no dreams repeated history unless provoked by ignorant actions. She slowly rolled out of her bed slipping on her frog bath sandals. She smiled at the proof of similarity b/t FBI agents and a sense of humor. Yawning and wiping her eyes she went to the bathroom.
"Ribbit, Ribbit, Ribbit!" the sandals croaked all the way there.
"Guile, that man needs to remember to put down the toilet seat!" She started brushing her hair. The brush fell from her hands, more scoffing ensued.
"Ribbit! Ribbit!"
It was the morning and if the sun wasn't shining (as it wasn't this morning), there was no chance she would be. Picking her brush back up she took out a few stray hairs and stared back in her mirror again. Her jaw dropped, her body froze paralyzed, her blood turned to ice and her blood pressure temples forced her heart to beat to an extent that all she heard was the paranoid rythm.
"Oh my gawed!" She screamed. She swung her hand around in a backfist style. Her eyes shut so tightly her frightened tears had no chance to fall from her paranoid eyes. She didn't open them until she felt contanct in her first. Slowly she opened them to realize, "N-Nothing?" She panted deeply. That can't be true, she swore she saw him in the mirror. She swore she, "AHHH!!!" She looked back in the mirror and facing her was a smiling familiar face.
"Miss me sissy?" Asked the face. The voice didn't even sound human, yet it was so familiar to her.
She pressed her shiverring body up against the cold walls, "G-Go away! Leave this place!"
His arm extended from the limitations of the mirror, "Now is that a way to treat your brother?" Suddenly arms reached behind and grabbed her. He pulled her close to him squeezing her lungs and stomach in the process, "Well, is it?"
Natalie didn't know what to do. Was he back to finally kill her? She changed her entire life to get away from him and now... it was all ending. Finally, she recollected her screaming thoughts and decided if anything, she could postpone death for a few more days, "HELP!!!!"
Quickly he let go dropping her to the floor and went back to the mirror, "Nat-chan, don't run away from me. You know you can't run forever."
She covered her ears and screamed some more, "Someone! Help Me!!!"
"Haha! You're so pathetic! Go on! Scream! Cry! You know it'll do you know good. Gawed, no wonder mom and dad divorced and left you with your grandparents. You're so d*mned weak Natalie! Should I just put you out of your misery right now?!" The man raised his hand and in it was a world of destruction.
Of all the reminiscing she's done in her life, one aspect she hated to be reminded of was her limitations and he knew this. She wipped her tears and slowly stood up. She didn't realize her right hand was already bleeding from before when she threw that blind backfist and made contact with protruding ornament. She didn't feel the pain, she didn't care most of all. Finally, she glared into those inhumane eyes and paused not thinking.
He finally smiled, he waited for this moment for years. He loved looking into her pure blue eyes and loved how her long hair fell on her back clinging to her. He loved her so much, he regretted having to kill her, but world conquest was his reason since his birth.
She hated unleashing her curses. This was the reason for her exile and this is reason why her brother finds her a formidable adversary. He knew she has potential for joining the side of the Immortals, but her conscious denied her to do so. "I'm warning you to get back."
Suddenly a pounding at the door, "Natalie! Natalie! Open up! It's Guile! What's wrong?!"
The man in the mirror raised an eyebrow, "Your body guard?"
"Leave him out of this! You're fight is with me you psychotic alien!"
"My fight? Why sister dear, you have the guts to take one someone like me?" Suddenly a giant black raging hand reached through the mirror and grabbed Natalie around her body lifting her high up off the ground. The hand threw her into the opposite wall causing bathroom shingles and accessory ornamentation to fall freely as if a tornado were wreaking havoc.
She couldn't breathe, she couldn't think, all she knew was one thing. She refused to struggle a mortal's strength versus an immortal and just stared at her brother. Her light blue eyes seemed cold and piercing. Her brown hair flowed around her stinging her face, but she ignored the strands. Finally the hand dropped her and dissapeared. She landed on her feet staring at the ground as if it amused her.
"Speechless sister? Confused? Provoked?" He grinned.
Guile pounded restless against the door, "Natalie! Get out of the way I'm breaking down this door!"
"Ha! Mere mortals thinking they can defeat me. Naar is coming sweet baby sister. -And he's going to take over this planet and make your God dissapear as with the rest of you."
"God never loses, brother dear."
Asatroth crossed his arms and grinned, "Your God never existed to begin with. He was created by humans and the true immortals will destroy him. Your beliefs are carried by your imaginations and others of the past. They failed to reailize what they could have become and now they must suffer for it."
"Liar!" Natalie yelled. Her tears began to fall. She knew God existed... she knew! He had to exist! "He has to!"
With a wave of his hand he threw he raised her up and slowly concentrated his powers to suffocate her by slowly crumbling her bronchial tube. "Where is your God now Natalie?! Where is he?!"
She fell limp and he dropped her to the floor.
"Sonic Boom!" The door fell down with ease and Guile stepped in.
"Oh no you don't!" Astaroth bellowed and with a raising of his hand the door became a new a flew Guile back hitting the wall.
Big brother looked down at Natalie and shook his head, "Where is your God now?"
He lowered his head and realized he had finally completed one of his life long missions.
"He's right here bastard!" Natalie hissed in a threatening whisper.
Astaroth, surprised viewd Natalie. Her bruised neck, her bleeding hand and her fraile condition. He recognized, a glowing separate arm. He had never seen this for a long time and by now he knew he overstayed his welcome.
"MERCY'S FALL!!!" She roared and flew into the mirror destroying it. A riccoche effect ensued. Shards, tiles, porcelen... all flew everywhere. The shards and sharp objects aimed for her, but it seemed nothing touched her and her faith provoked this divine intervention.
Guile sat up slowly rubbing the back of
his neck, "I'm getting too old for this s***." The door flew open and aimed
straight for the officer. Guile ducked and before he saw the FBI agent,
he saw a raging fire extending from the bathroom, "Natalie!!!!"
