5am

In a morning as this, it would be normal to hear the sound of snoring, after all this is a dormitory. Lily could feel someone shaking her but there is reluctant to get up at this ungodly hour.
 

"Come on… up.. this is the best time." The voice said.
"….huh…..it's only 5 in the morning….." Lilly yawned.
"Precisely, the best time for training as Sensei would say. You don't really want me to drag you out of bed?"
"……EEEPPP!!!!!" Lily screamed as something cold touches her.

It turned out to be the cold nose of Iwa's wolf. Brand seeing that Lilly has awakened, turned around and trotted out the dorm.
"I'm up! I'm up!. You happy now? Fancy you using your pet like that."
"He's not exactly my pet, he's on loan from a pack I once ran with. Come wash up I'll be waiting for you in the courtyard." Iwa said.

Moments later Lilly dragged herself, reaching the courtyard she yawned once more. She could really do with extra moments of sleep.
^Whoever her sensei is, he's got once heck of a lousy timetable….^ she thought.

"Has Sifu ever taught you Qiqong?" Iwa asked.
"Sifu??"
"Li Jie, I heard you were trained by her as well."
"She did….She's the same sensei who told you that this early in the morning is the best time for training?"
"Nope. That's Ryu gor(brother). You ever listen to the long lectures Li Jie gives while teaching Qigong."
"….Errr…. a large half of the class had fallen asleep every time. She stopped lecturing after that."
"Typical. You would have learnt something valuable for those lectures."
"Yeah? Like what?"

"Li Jie said that by practicing Qigong, one builds up one's chi, one's body and one's mind as well. Gather chi from the surrounding and use it to aid your own. Regulation of chi within the body might help one counter an illness, counter stress and stuff in that direction. Don't look at me like that, if you don't try it, you'll never know if it works for you." Iwa said.

Closing her eyes she began to go through a series of motion. Lilly could see the chi as it gathers. Closing her eyes, Lilly followed suit. as the chi flows into her body Lilly could feel the warmth.
^Is this the life giving chi of from nature that could heal? Can I be cured?^ she asked herself. Shaking off all unnecessary thoughts, Lilly began to pour her concentration into the each and every move. Letting the chi wash through her and rejuvenate her very being.
 

"Why are you telling me all this?" Lilly asked when they took a break
"Because I don't want you to give up on yourself. Sides ever since that infusion of three chi, my mind is slightly off at times. This gives me a chance to clear up my own head.

"How did he get you?"
"Blame my obsession on compiling that book of Essences, those bits and pieces of puzzles all over Shadowlaw. I can't resist. Careful that I was, there were just too many."
"Must be terrible?"
"Kinda, sigh…Slip into that odd Regression of mine, kill a few people, chew on someone, furniture as well maybe. I think." Shrugging it off with an air of nonchalance.
"…..You were insane?"

"Not really. Just hiding behind the mask of insanity, my insurance if I ever get caught. That rush of power when three chi combine…. That was something in direction of shiok(wonderful). Though I don't really wanna go through with it again, terrible headache. A pity Rose got caught, wonder what happen to her. The old coot (Bison) has this strange habit of mixing chi. Satsui no Hado, Psycho Power and Li Jie's chi. The first two corrupting and evolving the third. And the result is me… slightly unstable."

Lilly couldn't help but wonder if Iwa happen to be 'Power' shrugging off powerful chis as some kind of cold.

"You care for snake gall? It's rather good for health. Or snake meat for that matter?" Iwa suddenly asked.
"Why?" Lilly looked around but Iwa was gone, there was a loud hiss coming from the woodshed and Lilly went to investigate. There was Iwa with two daggers stabbed into the python, she twisted it deeper into the snake. Moments later the snake given up its fight.
"You expect me to eat that?" a look of disgust in Lilly face.

"No, that's ration for me at least."
"You could easily restock from Guy?"
"What? And do things the easy and less fun way. No way."
"I don't really care for snake. I'm going in for breakfast."
"Okay." Iwa said lugging the python with her.

Dinning hall. Most of the students were shocked on seeing the python, Iwa could care less. She just left the python on the ground and join them for a breakfast of rice, tempura and sushi.
"Er.. you guys got some Sake?"
"Here."
"Nah." She said. There was a little chattering as Maru appeared, taking the bottle of rice wine the squirrel scrambled away. They still have a few more days to go before heading off for the Tournament.
 

A villa some elsewhere.
Within the confines of the large courtyard. A man trains with fanaticism and hatred in his every move. It was like he sees in the wooden dummy before him as a representation of his mortal enemy, striking it as he would the hated one. Above him a VTOL hovered into sight, the man below ignored the grass whipping around him and continue in fanaticism. As the VTOL ascends in to the cloud, there was a hum and the air beside him swirls to materialise a man in a red military uniform.

"Man Sei I presume?" Bison asked. There was no answer. Amused Bison move nearer.
"I have a proposition for you. I am sure that you would be most interested, yes?"
"I am no one's zao gao (lackey)."
"Ah if you would work for my organization that would indeed be an added bonus indeed. But what I have in mind is a partnership instead."
"I work alone."
"Ah. But you and I have a common interest."
"I have nothing in common with the likes of you."

Bison was amused to find a person who seem so single minded and focus on his goals that it has become some kind of an obsession that drives one on as the sole reason for living. He can't help but wonder just what would happen to this young man should his goals be completed.

"Ah but we do indeed. One would recall a Yip Wai Lim… Yes?"
"RRRAARRGH!!!!" Man Sei roared hitting the wooden dummy with increase ferocity at the mention of the hated one's name.
"HE!!!! Is MINE!!!!! And MINE ALONE!!!! to take!!!!!! Interfere and you will die."

^Curiouser and Curiouser. The boy can be manipulated to some limits of course. Heh heh heh. Such fanaticism indeed. Humph!! ^ Bison thought with glee in his mind.

"I know of someone who is willing to make you stronger than this Wai Lim…"
"I need no help to take down Wai Lim!" Man Sei spat out the name with distaste." The wooden dummy began to show signs of strain from the ferocious attacks.
"Ah the Yip-Ma feud is still as strong I see." A wicked smile upon Bison's face.
"How did you know?" sounded like a threat indeed.
"I know much, a hobby in a certain sense of the word. Ever heard of something call Universal Essence?"
"Why should I care?"
"Wai Lim seem to signs of containing powers that would rival yours. There are eight others who hold powers almost similar to him. And I have an interest in acquiring all nine of them" Bison had a feeling that convincing this one might be a little hard.
^Damn the fanaticism. ^

"Bah! That weakling. What makes you so sure that I would not have kill the other eight just to get at him?"
"We would have all in one fell swoop. Working together we would not get into each other's way since we already have this understanding as to who wants what.. regardless you will still have your Wai Lim… Yes?"

Man Sei showed no reaction, but in truth he was considering his options.
"Fine. I will play your game…..For now….But WAI LIM IS MINE!!!!!" he roared once more, with one hate fill punch Man Sei had cause the wooden dummy to shatter into two, the top half flew across the yard. Bison raised one eyebrow with amusement.

"Excellent I will inform you once again when the time is right." Bison said as he teleported away.
Man Sei looks up into the sky.
^But in the end you will die like all those that stand against me. ^ he thought, before breaking out with insane laughter.
 
 

Back in the VTOL,
"Report!!" Bison said to one of his chief spy.
"Subject Chun-Li has already left Hong Kong in search of subject Ryu. Subject Chun-Li had enlisted the aid of an investigator, we believe that she might send him after one of the designated subjects."

"What of Ryu?"
"Subject is reported to be somewhere in Laos, master."
"Likely to be up some mountain or waterfall. Keep an eye on these two. What of Iwa?"

"Subject Iwa's locations seem rather erratic and the spurts of energy had led our agents to a wild goose chase around the world.
But it seem that investigator is an added bonus, for not only he found the erratic subject Iwa but another one who is with her.

^HA!! I was right in letting her go. One must have bait to catch a big fish. I owe that to you my dearest Roselynn(Rose). Little sacrifices were not made in vain.^ Bison smiled.

"Lord. It would please you to know that the one with subject Iwa, the Investigator and a woman with him seem to show signs of having the same energy frequency and quirks that were present in Subject Iwa's old energy readings.
And it seem that there is another heading their way, but two have being separated from them and one other is missing and the last one has not shown up."

"Excellent!! Have someone keep an eye on Ma Man Sei as well, he is as good a harvest as the rest."
^Soon… Pure power would be mine...No one can stop me …MWAAAHAHAHAHA!!!!!" Bison laughed.
