Ryu and Ken were at the dojo where they trained as kids. No words were exchanged, yet both students of Gouken knew what the other was thinking...
"(You've always been one step ahead of me Ryu...but today will not be your lucky day. This time, I will prove that I am better than you...)"
Ken broke the silence by dashing at Ryu and delivering several kicks. As he expected, Ryu blocked every last one of them. Ryu eventually parried Ken's attacks and pushed Ken back, leaving him some breathing room.
Ryu cupped his hands to the side and charged up some energy.
"Hadou-ken!"
Ryu finally released the collected energy towards Ken. Ken cancelled Ryu's fireball with one of his own.
"I've gotten better, Ryu! You won't beat me this time!"
Ken dashed towards Ryu before rolling underneath Ryu and ending up on the other side.
"(This can't be good...)"
"Sho-ryu-ken!"
Ken delivered his trademark Dragon Punch and sent Ryu into the air. Ryu hit the ground hard.
"(Ken has gotten a lot better. If I'm not careful, I'm going to lose...)"
Doing something that he is not known for, Ryu charged Ken and went for some offensive attacks.
Ken was ready for everything that Ryu threw at him. Ken blocked a couple of attacks before Alpha Countering Ryu's last attack.
Sweat was starting to form on Ryu's forehead. He knew he only had one last chance for victory...
Ryu took the fight back to Ken and started charging up whatever remaining energy he had left. Ryu was finally ready to release his attack...
"Shin..."
"Sho-ryu-ken!"
Ryu delivered one of his most powerful attacks, the Shin Shoryuken. Unfortunately, Ken blocked the attack. And Ryu was high in the air.
"(I'll show you a real Dragon Punch Ryu...)"
"(Oh crap...)"
"Ikuze!"
As Ryu was starting to head back to the ground, he could see that Ken was preparing for his super attack...
"Shin-Ryu-Ken!"
Ken released a ShinRyuKen and sent Ryu to the floor. The impact was so powerful that flashes of light could be seen.
"Yatta ze!"
Ken did the peace sign for victory. He finally defeated Ryu in a fight.
"Man! You got lucky Ken!"
Ryu still couldn't believe that Ken beat him in Street Fighter: the video game.
"You might be better in real life, but in the game, I rule!"
"Best two out of three?"
"You're on!"
