Kindred Spirits Ch. 8

He'd been through a lot these past few days. One night, he decided to take in an "innocent" little fight, the next thing you know, you have the international police slap on collar on you. Unfortunately, that "collar" had to be a 5'7", tough-as-nails, chinese kicking machine. The flight was long and nerve-racking. During that time, neither Ryu nor Chun-Li said a meaningful word to one another throughout the entire trip. The majority of the night at the suite, Chun-Li was busy downloading orders on her laptop that Reily emailed. After all the crap that's happen, the main thing to concentrate now for Ryu is sleep. Of course, good ol' Ryu was forced to sleep on the couch while Chun-Li "roughed" it out on king sized vibrating bed. In any case, Ryu decided he'd feel more comfortable sleeping on the carpeted floor. Finally, he can get some well deserved rest. Fortunately, one of Ryu's invincible attributes is his innate ability to be a sound sleeper. It's been rumored that when the great quake hit Kobe Japan, Ryu was still fast asleep. Nothing can wake him up! Unfortunately, Achilles always has his heel......

"WHAT THE H*LL?!?!?!"

Ryu snapped up from the floor. He could feel massive vibrations on the floor. Music was blasting throughout the entire suite. The suite was so big, you can almost here echoes, so imagine what that would sound like combined with crashing loud music. Luckily, the suite was sound-proof. "Why...." Ryu muttered as he staggered to get up. "What in the world is she doing?", he thought. The music was getting louder as Ryu approached the bedroom door. Ryu bursted like a wild lion disturb from its sleep, "What is going on?!" Ryu yelled.

Ryu looked at Chun-Li in confusion as he saw her jumping around in a strange manner and flapping her arms. Chun-Li appears to be too pre-occupied to notice Ryu behind her.

"H-O-I!!!!!" Ryu screamed.

In a state of surprise, Chun-Li shrieked and immediately stopped her routine and pressed STOP on her stereo. "What are you doing in here, get out!" Chun-Li yelled as she threw a pillow at Ryu. Ryu didn't bother dodging, considering he was just too d*mn tired to do anything at the momment.

"What the heck are you doing?" Ryu asked as he stratched his stomach.

"It's called aerobics you neanderthal, now get out!" Chun-Li sharply remarked. Chun-Li looked down at herself and noticed show was wearing nothing but panties and a Bugs Bunny t-shirt. She immediately crossed her arms and bolted towards Ryu shoving him out the door and slamming the door in his face.

"Geez. Women"

"Jerk."

A few minutes later, Chun-Li came out of the room wearing a bathrobe. "Don't you ever sneak into my room again, got that!" she said sternly while pointing her finger.

"I did not sneak. Besided, I was sleeping! And your crazy music and jumping woke me up!"

Chun-Li looked away and sighed, "Look.....that's how I wake up every morning ok. Besides, you need to get up. We have some work to do." she said.

"What do you mean we?" Ryu asked.

"We need to meet with one of the co-ordinators regarding the tournament. He's going to give us our final entry package before the tournament kicks off." Chun-Li said.

"Heh, no thanks. The police and paper work are your area. You can go out by yourself. In the meantime, there's a nice fluffy bed in that room with my name on it." Ryu said with a sarcastic demeanor.

"Unless your name is Chun-Li, Mr. Hoshi, you're not going there. You are not to leave my sight throughout this entire mission." Chun-Li said as she crossed her arms.

Ryu turned his back and walked to towards the couch. "Is that Reily's orders....or yours?" she asked.

"Ugh! Reily's orders! Now just co-operate. We're going out and that's final! So shut up and get dressed!" Chun-Li turned around and went back to the bedroom slamming the door behind her.

Ryu paused for a momment to let the ringing in his ear fade out from Chun-Li's verbal onslaught and collapsed on the couch, burying his face on the throw pillows. "Sagat....Bison....Akuma.....and now Chun-Li (ugh!)" Ryu muffled through the pillows. "Is this how I'm gonna go out?" Suddenly, the loud music and stomping resumed again. Ryu grabbed another pillow from the floor and mushed it on top of his head.
