Neon Genesis Street Fighter Ch. 23 - Rebirth

Ryu was standing in a white space which seemed to go on forever, there was nothing in sight, then he heard a booming Voice,

Voice: Ryu, you are in the spirit realm.

Ryu: .....huh??

Then out of nowhere the spirit of Ryukaji appears, an annoyed look on his face.

Ryukaji (whining): I don't have time to explain it, sit down and watch.

Images flashed before Ryu's eyes and Ryu begins to watch something that he never saw, but it's like he is remembering it:

Voice: All your powers are based on a spirit, though very few people know this. There is a Hadou Spirit, a Messatsu Spirit, a Psycho Spirit, a Soul Spirit, and the Nuetral Spirit, from which come techniques like The Sonic Boom and The Kikoken. I am a new Spirit, which is why you and Ryu have only just discovered me...

Ken: Wha? Huh... yo.. your a d.. d.. d.. d.. Dragon!

Ryukaji: Well what did you expect?

Ken (scratches his head): Hmmmmm, good point.

Then Ryukaji's dragon form transformed into a young looking man, around 16, with long black hair tied back in a ponytail, wearing a dark red gi with the Kanji symbol for fire on the back of his gi.

Ryukaji: There, is that better?

Ken inspected Ryukaji from head to toe, examining him carefully.

Ken: Yep, that's just fine.

Ryukaji: Okay, the reason yo are here is because your body has suffered great damage and it needs to heal, Hadou is healling your body as we speak but it is a long process.

Ken: Was I injured that badly?

Ryukaji: Yes, you were.

Ken: Far out...

Then suddenly another spirit appeared before Ken, it was a young looking woman that looked like she was made of water, she had wavey white hair and deep blue eyes.

Spirit: Hello Ken.

Ken: Who are you?

Spirit: I am the Hadou, the spirit from which the Shotokan, get their powers.

Then Ryu openned his eyes, his pupils shrunken to almost pinpoint size. "Oooookay, this is getting wierd." thought Ryu as he awoke from the dream state, he was still in the spirit realm, with Ryukaji and Hadou both standing in front of him.

Ryu: I'm dead, aren't I?

Ryukaji: Yep, pretty much.

Ryu: Then why am I here?

Ryukaji: While the angel's are a threat to the earth you cannot be killed permanently, none of you can, and Hadou and I have decided we will put your time here to good use and train you to learn how to change.

Ryu: Learn how to change?

Ryukaji: Yes, you are stuck in your ways. You need to learn how to change, you have just as much power and skill as Ken, you just need to learn to harness them, and that's what we will teach you!

Ryu: Hai Sensei's.

Ryukaji: Alright then! Let it begin!

Ryukaji raised his right hand, his arm sculpted and muscular, with viens poping out of it. Ki flowwed from his body and into his palm whisps of chi encircling his hand, a multi coloured storm of energy grew in intensity. Ryu watched in awe as the ki cycled through colours. Red, green, orange, yellow, purple, blue and many numerous ki colours emited from his hand, like a Neon lightshow. Then suddenly the ki shot out and engulfed the whole room, then sucked it inwards and disappeared.

Ryu reappeared in a large dojo type room with many drawings and enscriptions on the walls. It was about 20 squared metres in size and Ryu thought it to be rather impressive. Then the spirit Hadou appeared before him, nothing more than a big blue ball of ki. Then it grew and shifted into the form of a blonde woman, about 5'8" wearing a white, loose top and a white, wavey skirt, with splits down the side. She bowed to Ryu then took her stance.

Ryu: What now?

Hadou: We spar.

Ryukaji: Round One, Fight!

Hadou made the first move, her slender leg lashing out towards Ryu's flushed face, causing him to stumble backwards. Ryu regained his balance and set his stance. Hadou was in the Karate Cat Stance, which is alot like a Muay Thai Stance, her back leg held all of her weight and her front leg just on touched on the ground. Her hands were evenly spaced, her right one covering her face and her right one covering her abdomen. Ryu leaped forward with a punch, but however did not follow through and did a trip instead. Hadou climbed back to her feet and leeped forward with a kick aimed at Ryu's midsection, which he blocked, then she linked it into another kick, a round house, aimed at his head, Ryu blocked it also. Hadou kept throw kicks, not leaving a second between each, and Ryu kept blocking them skillfully, then Hadou did a jumping roundhouse of her leftleg, and then linked it into her other leg in a flip type move (it's kinda hard to explain but they do it alot in the TV show Mortal Kombat Conquest ^_^) her first leg hit Ryu in the side of the face, and her second leg knocked him flat. Hadou extended her hand to help Ryu up, and he accepted it cautiously, and Hadou helped him back to his feet.

Hadou: You fight well Ryu, but there is much you need to learn.

Ryu (panting): Ugh... egh.. Hai Sensei.

Hadou: You will need to replenish your stamina for what comes next, go take a rest.

*Meanwhile Back on Earth.

Sakura and Ibuki rush into where Ken and Ryu just fought Akuma and are shocked to see Ken, croached over Ryu's bloodied body. Sakura was instantly in tears and ran over to him.

Sakura (crying): No! It just can't be! YOU CAN'T DIE! I WON'T LET YOU DIE!! D*MM*T, I'LL GET YOU MYSELF AKUMA, YOUR MINE!!!

Sakura ran out of the park at incredably fast speeds towards an unknown location.

Ken: Sakura! No, come back!

Ibuki: Sakuraaaa!

Ken: D*mn*t! This can't be happening, why didn't the spirits save him!

Then suddenly Ryu's body glowwed blue and then dissapeared into several balls of blue ki, which rushed towards the heavens. "He's safe now..." thought Ken seeing this, "He's safe..."
