Cammy pursed her lips, fixing her blonde hair in a huff. Here she was, at the famed Emerald City, met the Wonderful Wizard of Capcom and now Chun Li freaked out and over some little flying monkey!

...what an idiot!

The green faced, now a fugitive, woman swallowed hard as she looked at the door. Chun Li had grabbed Cammy once she saw...poor Dr. Gen...

Tears welled up in her eyes. Dr. Gen...that poor goat...how dare the Wizard make him forget how to speak! Dr. Gen was her favorite teacher, the only teacher to ever truly like her, looking past the skin color and magic. He saw her brillance and her skill in fighting and nourished it.

His face, his pained and horrible face when she pulled that cover off of him-Capcom, she'll never forget it...

Shaking her head, Chun Li heard guards at the door. "Can't let them come in." she whispered quietly to herself.

"Chun Li! I demand to be let out of here!" Cammy snapped, putting her hands on her hips. She ignored her and found a broomstick. "This should buy us time." Chun Li cried out and barred the iron door with it.

"No! Let me out!" Cammy countered her and Chun Li stamped her foot. "No, we have to get out here! I have to get out of this city..."

Cammy's face hardened. "Then find a way!" she cried out and Chun Li had a brillant idea.

"The book!" she exclaimed, pulling out the leather bound book full of tattered pages. "This should help us."

Cammy tapped her foot impatiently while Chun Li read outloud the words, her black hat moving up a little. "Elka, nahmen elka nahmen..." she read frantically, "This should give us wings!"

Suddenly, Cammy's eyes went huge. "Chunny...LOOK!" she shrieked out and pointed with fright behind Chun Li. "It's...a flying broomstick!"

At first, Chun Li didn't believe her, turning her head slightly. But she saw it and dropped her jaw.

Indeed, it was the flying broomstick, the one she used to bar the door. "Oh my Capcom..." she whispered with awe. "Wings...flying broomstick..."

The blonde then cleared herself of her fever. "Chun Li, why couldn't you have stayed calm for once, instead of flying off the handle!"

Chun Li noticed the pun.

"I hope you're happy, I hope you're happy now. I hope you're happy how you hurt your cause forever, I hope you think you're clever!" Cammy coldly said. (AN: It's the beginning of the song)

"I hope you're happy, I hope you're happy too. I hope you're proud of how you would grovel in submission to feed your own submission!" Chun Li repiled hotly.

"Though I can't imagine how, I hope you're happy right...now." they both said in unison and looked at each other with hard eyes. The banging increased on the door outside.

"Chunny, listen to me. Just say you're sorry. You can still be with the Wizard, what you worked and waited for. You can all you ever wanted." Cammy tried to persuade her, tried to make her see the stupidity in this.

"I know...but I don't want it-No, I can't want it anymore." Chun Li said sadly then looked up at the sky with wondering eyes. "Something has changed within me, something is not the same. I'm through with playing by the rules of someone else's game. Too late for second guessing, too late to go back to sleep. It's time to trust my instincts, close my eyes...and leap." She suddenly smiled, something she never did.

"It's time to try defying gravity. I think I'll try defying gravity and you can't pull me down..."

"Can't I make you understand, you're having delusions of grandeur...?"

"I'm through with accepting limits 'cause someone says they're so. Some things I cannot change but til I try I'll never know...too long have I been afraid of losing love I guessed I've lost." Chun Li annonuched and Cammy looked at her with eyes that finally understood.

'My goodness.' she thought, looking at Chun Li, clad in her black suit and her pointy black hat, her green skin looking so...wonderfully. 'Maybe...'

"Well, if that's love, it comes much to high a cost." Chun Li said, staring at Cammy-was she expecting something..."I'd sooner buy defying gravity."

The broomstick which was still in the air, floated near her. Chun Li had a defiant look in her eye, breathed deeply and climbed ontop of it. Cammy was about to run over there to stop her, afraid of her falling right off and breaking something...oh Capcom...the banging was so loud now...

But, as if by true fate, Chun Li was floating upwards, like an angel rising to heaven. She laughed, choking it out- Chun Li was ACTUALLY defying gravity! She broke a limit, she was so high, so high that heaven was not so far from her...

"Kiss me goodbye, I'm defying gravity and you can't pull me down!" Chun Li shouted out below her, feeling a experience of adventure through her veins. However, when she looked down, she saw her friend, her best friend looking up at her, with awe and amazement.

"Cammy..." she called out, "Come with me. Think of what we could do...together. Together, we're unlimited. Together, we'll be the greatest team there's ever was-Cammy, dreams the way we planned them." Chun Li offered her, feeling her heels touch each other. Her eyes were hopeful-she wanted Cammy to have this too.

"If we work in tandem..." Cammy mused, thinking deeply about this...

"There's no fight we cannot win. Just you and I, defying gravity, with you and I, defying gravity." they both said again in unison. The witch now looked happy-Cammy was coming! "They'll never bring us down. Well, are you coming?"

But, then, to Chun's dismay, she shook her head. 'Ryu...Shiz...my friends, my family...' her mind rationalized. 'I cannot leave them....'

"I hope you're happy, now that you're choosing this." she whispered, almost angonizing and depressed.

Chun Li lowered her head. "You too. I hope it brings you bliss.

"I really you get it and you don't live to regret it. I hope you're happy in the end, I hope you're happy...my friend..." they both gave parting words before Chun Li threw back her head, her hair tossing over her shoulder and proudly shouted as loud as she could, her lungs bursting out,

"So if you care to find me, look to the western sky! As someone told me lately, "Ev'ryone deserves a chance to fly" and if I flying solo, at least I'm free...to those who ground me, take message back from me!"

"Tell them how I'm defying gravity. I'm flying high, defying gravity and soon I'll match them in renown! And nobody, in all of Capcom, no wizard that there is or was, is gonna bring...me....down!!!" she vowed all who could listen.

The guards burst through, holding thier staffs. Cammy, her eyes watering, sniffed and said out, "I hope you're happy..."

Chun Li then looked down at the amazed guards and cackled. "...bring me down!!" she said, Dan pointing up at her.

"Look at her, she's wicked! Get her!" he ordered and Cracker Jack tried jabbing his staff up at her but she was already flying out.

"No one mourns the Wicked so we got to bring her..." Guile, the last guard, shouted as she flew out of the Emerald City.

"Ahhh!" she sang outloud, happiliy and excited as she rode her broom to wherever the road took. She only looked back once, just for Glinda and Gen but never looked back again. Her road now took her away from the Wizard, against the Wizard...
