Your Adolescent Street Fighters Ch.8
By Silvercane

“I still can’t believe that you’re actually going to fight her…I mean she’s a junior highschooler!”, Chun Li said from across the room.

Elena and her were in Chun Li and Cammy’s dorm. Chun Li was sitting at the desk, with books spread open in front of her. She was making an effort to at least try to do her homework, but she was procrastinating by drawing little designs on her bare arm with her pen. Elena was in the corner doing crunches.

“She shouldn’t have called me a stupid b*tch. This’ll teach her a lesson. Besides, I’m not really going to use any force, I’m just gonna…oh I don’t know, I’ll know when I see her.” Chun Li just turned back around and looked down at her books and groaned.

“I’ll pay you to do my homework for me”, offered Chun Li, as she gazed dreamily out the window. It was a cool, dark Sunday afternoon and it hadn’t stopped raining hard since early morning. Elena ignored her and went on to stretching her legs.

“So what’s up with you and el chico español?”

“Who?…oh you mean that Vega guy? I don’t know”, Chun Li said exhaustily. “I mean, he’s handsome and all, but I…I don’t know…hey, wanna go get some frozen yogurt?!”

“What about your homework? It’s not gonna get itself done”

“Screw homework. I really don’t feel like trying to solve a math problem.”

“Okay, let me go get changed”

Outside in the Schoolyard

“Believe me, I’ve got her wrapped around my finger. She fell for me the minute I looked at her. And let me tell you, she is perfect, just like me!”, said Vega. He was leaning against a stone statue, outside in the schoolyard, talking to some rich preppy students. The rain had stopped and many students were coming outside to get some fresh air.

“Who are you talking about?” asked Fei Long as he just joined the group of guys and was high-fiving them.

“Chun Li or something”, said one of the guys.

“Chun Li?”, he asked surprised.

“Hey Vega, do you think you could get her in bed by the end of the week?” asked one of the guys as the rest laughed.

“Do you doubt my ability?” he asked nastily and glared at the guy.

“No”, said the guy as he gulped nervously.

“Just watch, she’ll be putty in my hands sure enough” he said as he made his way to the entrance of the building.

“Who the @#$% does he think he is?”, exploded Fei Long.

“He’s one of the richest guys here, and he’s really respected in Barcelona”

Fei Long clenched his fists.

Video Rental Store

“C’mon, you’re such a baby. It’s just a piece of clothing! And no one is going to care what color it is”, Ken whispered loudly, as Dan, Guy, Ryu and him were walking through the rows of the video rental store, looking for a movie to watch later at Ken’s mansion, since it was such a gloomy and rainy day.

“I’m not a baby! It was all your fault! Your Fault!”, shouted Dan. Everyone in the store turned to look at him. He blushed slightly and pick up a video. Ken looked over at Ryu, who was wandering around, looking at the selections and Guy, who was reading the back of a video in his hands.

“What are you looking at?” asked Ken as he made his way over to Guy.

“Blood-Thirsty Dragon, part I”, replied Guy in an exaggerated low voice.

“Isn’t that the one with Fei Long?”

“Yeah”

“Hey, what happened to Ryu?”, asked Dan. “Wasn’t he here just a minute ago?”

“Yeah, I wonder where he…”, Ken gazed around the store. No Ryu. Then he glanced up at the brightly lit red sign that read, “Adults’ Section”.

“You don’t think…”

Suddenly, Ryu burst out through the door of the adult’s section. He looked extremely traumatized.

“That wa-as ve-ery disturbing!”, he said shakily.

“What were you doing in there?” asked Guy who was trying to keep a straight face.

“I d-don’t know…I guess I just wandered into there” he said uneasily. “I wa-a-as…I me-an…the co-overs…th-e-er wa-as…uh…I don’t understand. Why do people rent that? Wh-at wa-as that?”

Dan and Ken were keeling over with laughter.

Finally, after a good long five minutes of laughing and questioning Ryu about the covers and the kind of people in that section, the guys stopped and calmed down.

“Alright, so what movie are we gonna rent?”, asked Ken.

Ryu still didn’t understand the concept of renting a video. He still thought it was just taking a video and the people who worked there, trusted you to return it. Guy looked back down at the cover of “Blood-Thirst Dragon”.

“Can we rent it?”, asked Ryu, who was mesmerized by the cover, a guy, Fei Long, in a kung fu stance. Ryu just wanted to watch something that had martial arts in it.

“Hey, I’ve seen that movie ten times!”, said Dan as he grabbed it out of Guy’s hands. Ryu gave him a weird look.

“You’ve seen it that many times?! Then we can rent something else”, said Ryu.

“No, I don’t mind watching it agai…” Guy interrupted him.

“Hey look! It’s Chun Li and Elena”

The four guys peered out the store window at Chun Li and Elena who were walking towards the yogurt shop.

“Let’s go say ‘hi’”, said Dan as he made his way to the exit.

“Well what do we have here?”, someone snarled.

“Oh lord. Here comes the king of the apes”, sighed Ken. Birdie trotted his muscular luggish body over.

“Hey there Masters, how’s it swingin’”, said Birdie with an evil grin.

Ken didn’t answer him.

“I hope you didn’t forget my offer, well, it’s too late! You are going to be sorry that you ever came to Glenmore. We’re going to make you and your Spice Boys friends miserable”

“Hey, Birdie, “The Bridges of Madison County” is out, but we can at least rent, “Ever After””, hollered Balrog from across the store.

“SSSShhhhh!”, shushed Birdie and drooped his head down.

Ken, Guy, and Dan snickered. Ryu just looked blankly at them.

He didn’t understand what was so funny.

“You’ll get yours, Masters. You too”, he looked at Dan, Guy, and Ryu, then turned and left, smacking Balrog across the head.
