“Geez, how many creatures they have in here ?” – Chun Li shooting her Scorpion at a creature that looks like a giant worm. She already changed to her third magazine, she only got one magazine left for the Scorpion. If the weapon runs out of ammo, she’ll have to use the Beretta or her techniques.

Ryu is dealing with another creature that looks like a combination of tiger and bull, its body is huge, and looks like a tiger, but it also has two horns like a bull. The creature is fast and strong. Ryu already took two scratches from fighting with the creature. This is the third creature that they fought. The first one is the huge giant snake, taken down by Chun Li using her Scorpion gun and takes up a magazine to its head. The second creature is a kind of Pterodactyl, defeated by Ryu using his Shoryuken and Chun Li using another magazine.

He uses Hadoken to distract the creature, then jumps to top of the creature. The Hadoken hits, but the creature doesn’t hurt, it growls looking for Ryu. Ryu lands on its back like riding a horse and grabs its horns, trying to break them. The creature growls and tries to spin around to topple Ryu, but Ryu’s grip on its horn is so strong that it can’t knock Ryu down. After a moment of struggling and wrestling, Ryu managed to break its horns. The creature stands and howls in pain. Taking the chance, Ryu jumps back and wait for the creature to attack.

Chun Li is firing her last magazine at the giant white worm, she has to jump around to avoid the worm attacks. The worm attacks by spitting some kind of liquid from its mouth or swinging its body to knock Chun Li down. But Chun Li is faster, the worm’s attacks always fails to hit her. Although she didn’t get any hit, but because of the distraction, she had waste some bullets that are missed. After firing the last magazine, the worm howls and limps, then its fall lifelessly.

The creature slash at Ryu, but Ryu managed to step in and blocks at the safe area using his left hand. Then he elbows the creature’s jaw, then followed by Shin Shoryuken attack on its jaw again. A sound of broken bone is heard after Ryu performs his powerful attack, the creature is thrown three meters high and falls down already dead with its neck broken. After performs the technique, Ryu scans around and sees that Chun Li already takes care of the giant worm. Then, he sees something big falls down from the ceiling to attack Chun Li, he quickly runs, grabs Chun Li and rolls on the ground, away from the thing. The thing lands on its eight feet, creating a loud bumping sound.

Ryu and Chun Li roll away, about ten meters from the spider. When they stop, Ryu is on top of Chun Li, their face are so close that they almost kiss. Seeing Ryu that close, Chun Li blushed hard, Ryu also feels the same. But then, they remember the danger coming and they quickly get up. Chun Li pulls out her Beretta and shoots at the thing which is a giant black spider. Getting hits a couple of time, the spider staggers a bit, then from its mouth it shoots a web on Chun Li. Chun Li is trapped. The spider begins to move toward Chun Li.

Ryu hates spider, he really really hates it. Hates it so much that it becomes a phobia. His body numbs when he sees the spider moves toward Chun Li, ready to consume her. The thought of Chun Li being killed made him react. Forcing himself to fight against his fright, he jumps and kicks the spider on its body. The spider is forced back a couple of steps. It turns to Ryu and moves again. Having only a few seconds to determine the life of Chun Li and himself, he reacts using his Shinkuu Hadoken, blasting the creature right on its head. The spider is blasted far away. Its head blows from the impact.

Still standing on his stance, Ryu grits his teeth, he let go a deep breath and falls on his knee. He sits down to calm his breath. Chun Li managed to gets out from the spider web, she runs to Ryu.

“Ryu, are you okay ?” – Chun Li. She kneels down to check Ryu’s condition.

“Yes, I’m okay. How ‘bout you ?” – Ryu.

“I’m okay, just a bit dirty. Thanks for saving me twice. I really owe you a lot.” – Chun Li.

“T… That’s okay. I’m glad you’re okay.” – Ryu.

“Ryu, when I was trapped by that web, why were you seem so frighten to move ?” – Chun Li.

“I… I…” – Ryu looks down.

“Yes ?” – Chun Li.

“Err… Uh… Promise not to laugh if I tell you ?” – Ryu. Chun Li nods. “Well… Err… Actually I am afraid of spiders. I don’t know why, but I just afraid of them, if I saw a spider, my body feels numb and I can’t move.” Ryu looks away, afraid to see if Chun Li laughs at him.

Chun Li smiles sympathetically, she understands that some people has a phobia to something, and being a super fighter doesn’t mean that you don’t afraid of anything. “But you did manage to defeat your fear. You helped me.” – Chun Li. She holds Ryu hand.

Surprised at the sudden movement, Ryu blushed hard. He tries to find an excuse to tell Chun Li why he helped her, but can’t find any. He just realizes that he cares about her, he cares about her more than he cares about himself, and the new feeling that he feels now is so warm and beautiful. “I… I… just … can’t imagine if you get hurt. When I see the spider wants to attack you, my mind screamed at me, telling me to help you. And… I just did.” – Ryu decides to tell the truth.

Surprised with Ryu’s confession, Chun Li blushed. She never thought of any man before in her life after her father’s death. She only takes men as friend or work partner, never more than that. But now, she also feels something new inside herself, something uncomfortable to her, yet it’s warm and beautiful. She looks away to hides her feeling.

Thinking that he offended her, Ryu speaks again. “Chun Li, I’m sorry if I offended you. I’m sorry, I won’t speak like that again.”

“No, Ryu… it’s not that… I… just…” – Chun Li. She feels so confused, doesn’t know what to say.

Suddenly, there is a sound of explosion, and the door to the room is blown from outside. .Han Lung comes in and waves at them. “Ryu, Chun Li, are you okay ?!!”

Feeling a bit relief that Han Lung came, Chun Li gets up and waves back. Ryu, on the other hand, feels disappointed from the interruption, but he presses his feeling and quickly gets up. Both fighters walk toward Han Lung.

Sensing that Ryu is disappointed, Chun Li whispers to his ear. “We’ll talk about this later on.”

Hearing what Chun Li just said, Ryu felt happy, a hope is grown inside his heart. He follows Chun Li walking toward Han Lung.

“You guys okay ? I’ve tried to call, but no one answers.” – Han Lung.

“Probably because of the room’s blocking the signal. Thanks for helping us, Han Lung.” – Chun Li.

“Yes, thank you for your help.” – Ryu.

“That’s okay.” – Han Lung. He scans around and feels shock at the sight of the death creatures. “My goodness, what are those things ?”

“Monsters.” – Chun Li in flat tone. “So where’s Tommy ?”

Han Lung tells Chun Li what was happening. Then, he tries to contact Tommy or the Alpha three team, but didn’t receive any answer. Chun Li told Han Lung to gets out from the base, taking the evidence to safe first, while Ryu and her will help the others. They were arguing for some time, but in the end Chun Li wins. So they quickly treat their wounds, go to the first place where they separate and then separate again, Han Lung goes out the base to deliver the evidence and calls for back up while Chun Li and Ryu go to help the others.
