Conspiracy Ch. 11

Seeing Ryu Dragon captured has shocked them hardly. They feel like their only hope to get away has gone. They were shocked, don’t know what to do. Suddenly, Zarkoff speaks up.

“I’ve got an idea.” – Zarkoff.

“What do you mean ?” – Andy.

“To escape, dummy.” – Zarkoff.

“And what is that ?” – Frank.

“I’m going for berserk.” – Zarkoff.

“No !!! Don’t do it, Zarkoff !!!” – Ryu Dragon. He knows what does it mean to go for berserk. It’s a technique that can double the power of someone by using anger to burns up the power, but it also a dangerous technique, because after the effect is gone, the person will be powerless for long time.

Hearing what will Zarkoff do, Daimajin takes out a walkie-talkie and gives orders to his guards to stop Ryu Dragon’s friends.

“No Zarkoff, don’t. It’s too dangerous.” – Rogue.

“You’ve got better idea ?” – Zarkoff.

“No, but…” – Rogue.

“Then shut up and do as I say, Dragon’s cell won’t be too far from this place, so if you all do as I say, we should be okay.” – Zarkoff cuts in.

“But…” – Rinai.

“Shut up !!” – Zarkoff. He starts to concentrates to build up his anger, he tries to remember every thought that humiliates, saddened and makes him angry. His muscles begin to grow, filled with energy that keep coming out from his energy source. He pulls the chains, trying to break them at the same time. Finally, the chain on his right hand cracks, then, pulling as hard as he can, he breaks the chain. Then he breaks all the chains and frees his friends. Feeling queasy, he falls on his knees.

“Zarkoff, you okay ?” – Rogue.

Zarkoff brushes her off with his right hand, he gets up and walks to the door, his eyes turn to red and his body is shaking violently. Reaching for the door, he found that it’s locked tightly. He kicks the door twice, and with an exploding sound, the door is blown out.

“Holy cow…” – Andy, seeing Zarkoff.

“Come on. You wanna stay forever in there ?” – Zarkoff signaling his friends.

They quickly get out of the cell, but when they get out, a group of undead guards has already been there, ready to fire. Seeing them, Zarkoff takes the metal door that was blown out and throws it on the guards. The door spins horizontally on the neck level, cutting the head of the guards. But just before the metal door cuts the guards neck, they already fired some bullets at Zarkoff. Zarkoff was hit, about fifteen times, spread around the chest and legs. He feels like being stung on every spot where the bullets hit, he holds out though, despite the critical wounds that he got.

“Zarkoff !!!” – Rogue. She moves to help Zarkoff, but again, Zarkoff pushes her away.

“Go !!! Find Dragon, I’ll hold them here.” – Zarkoff.

They know that Zarkoff is right, they have to find Ryu Dragon to escape. Having no choice, they turn and run along the corridor. Rogue and Rinai were crying, they know that no matter how strong Zarkoff is, he wouldn’t survive, unless if there is a miracle.

Seeing his friends gone on the turn, he feels relief. He knows that he can’t holds out much longer, his power almost gone and he is in critical condition now, but no matter how serious his condition is, as long as he can still fight, he’ll holds out. He sees some guards coming, he only has energy for one last attack, focusing whatever power left on him, he jumps toward the guards, trying to squash them with his huge body. The guards shoot, as bullets go into his body, Zarkoff body shakes violently. As he falls on the frightened guards, all his memories are coming back to him, his fights, friends, family, first fight with Ryu Dragon that made them became best friends, all the fights that he went through after he met Ryu Dragon has special places in his heart and mind. And when he squashes the guards, he falls into darkness, smiling triumphantly as blood comes out from his mouth.

“NOOOOOOOO !!!” screamed RD. He couldn’t believe what he saw, Zarkoff is dead, giving all his got to save the others and him. The memories of them together, fighting, bickering, laughing, joking, went through his mind and hit him like a very hard punch to his head. He closes his eyes, remembering the memories, tears came out from his eyes like a stream and he felt like losing a part of himself.

“Oooo, what a tragedy.” – Daimajin with sarcastic tone. “Hmm, it appears that I have to handle things myself. I’ll greet your friends first, then we’ll be back in business.” He walks to the door and opens it.

“I’ll kill you, Daimajin.” – RD.

“Yeah ? With what ? Your pathetic gaze ?” – Daimajin. He burst into maniac laugh and leaves the room, leaving the door open.

Rogue, Rinai, Frank and Andy are running in the corridor to find the cell where Ryu Dragon is held. They’ve captured and interrogated a normal human guard for the cell. Grabbing any weapons they can found, they fight their way to the cell. When their weapons are out of ammo, they use their martial art skills.

“That way, turn to left there !” – Frank.

Just when they are about to turn to the hallway that leads to Ryu Dragon’s cell, they felt someone coming from that way. They stop and wait for the person to show up. The person walks out, its Daimajin, ready to greets them.

“Daimajin !” – Rogue. They quickly drop into their fighting stances.

Daimajin chuckles. “Ignorant fools, you think you can win ? With Zarkoff dead, and Ryu Dragon is in my captive. Your chance to win is as equal as zero.”

“Pst, Rogue, Rinai, Andy come here.” – Frank.

“What is it ?” – Rogue.

“We have to at least freed Ryu Dragon to even the situation, do as I say…” – Frank explains his plan.

“But…” – Rinai.

“No but, do as I say.” – Frank cuts in.

“Finish the plan ?” – Daimajin.

“Ready whenever you are, you freak.” – Andy.

They all ready to fight. Daimajin still stand like have no intention to fight. Then the fight begins, Rinai charges first, followed by Rogue behind her and Andy and Frank on Rogue's side. Running until near Daimajin, Rinai jumps high to the side, she bounces on the wall and pass Daimajin’s head and attacks with a back kick to the head. Daimajin blocks with left hand, swings his right hand creating a blade energy toward Rogue, Frank and Andy. Rogue quickly slides down under Daimajin and runs to the hallway to find Ryu Dragon. Frank and Andy use their projectile attack to counter Daimajin’s energy blade. Daimajin is hit by Andy’s projectile attack and then got kick by Rinai from behind. Frank follows with an uppercut elbow straight to Daimajin’s chin, sending him fly upward, hits the ceiling and fall back on the floor. Without wasting a moment, they quickly charges at Daimajin using their strongest attack. But before the attacks hit, Daimajin already gone. The attacks hit the floor, creating a big hole. Frank and Andy turn and see Daimajin materialized behind them.

“Very good, I almost amuse from the way the three of you work together. However, all of you will still die in the end.” – Daimajin grins evilly and begins to raises his power level.

After Daimajin got out of the cell, Ryu Dragon tries to freed himself, he tried to break the chain, but can’t, the chain is too strong, it ties him from ankle to shoulder, making harder for him to move. He looks at the cell, but sees nothing that can help. He looks on the connection of the chain to the ceiling, the chain is planted inside the ceiling and doesn’t seem too strong. He got an idea. Using both his feet, he spins the chain, rounding it up until his feet touch the ceiling, then using the force of gravity and making himself become more heavy by channeling his energy to his muscle, he lets go the chain and falls. First time, does nothing, second time, a bit crack on the ceiling, third time, a big crack, and the fourth time, the ceiling gives in, and he falls on the floor on his back.

Sensing the tension lessen, Ryu Dragon tries to wiggle his way out of the chain, it took him a couple of minutes to freed himself. After free from the chain, he checks on himself, his condition is okay, his fighting outfit also still on, but he lost both his gloves where he kept the soul and elemental gems. He is sure that Daimajin took them when he was out cold, and probably wearing them at the moment. It doesn’t matter at the moment, he has to find his friends, and teammates and kill Daimajin to revenge Zarkoff.

He gets out of the cell and senses someone coming toward his way, he readies himself and waits for the person. When the person show up, his expression changes to cheerful, it was Rogue, running toward his way. He quickly runs and hugs her, spinning her around in happiness then kiss her passionately. When they let go, suddenly Rogue slaps him. He caught surprise and moves back.

“How dare you lie to us ?!” – Rogue. Tears come down from her beautiful green amber eyes.

Ryu Dragon knows what’s the question mean. Feeling guilty, Ryu Dragon doesn’t say a word, he hugs Rogue tightly, trying to comfort her. Rogue cries on his chest. At the moment, there is nothing exists around them in their mind. After a while, He lets go Rogue. “I’ll explain later, right now, we have get out of here, where are the others ?” – RD.

“They… they’re fighting with Daimajin.” – Rogue. Suddenly she saw a group of guards coming and readies to shoot them. Without thinking, she pushes Ryu Dragon down and receives the bullets with her body. Her body shakes violently as the bullets hit her.

Caught surprise, Ryu Dragon can only stare at her mindlessly. He can’t believe what he saw. Then everything moves in slow motion, she falls on him, blood spurs out from her wounds and mouth. He catches her on her waist and neck and holds her close and tight as if he wouldn’t let her go. “NOOOOOO !!! ROGUE !!! WAKE UP !!! WAKE UP I SAID, ROGUE !!!” – Ryu Dragon screams and shakes her in panic.

Rogue’s eyes that were closed, open. She tries to smiles and whispers. “Dragon… I … I …love you…” then her life’s gone, her hands falls lifelessly to the ground, her eyes closed, a peaceful smile is carved on her lips.

Rogue is dead, yet he couldn’t believe it. He wished that it was a dream, only a nightmare where he can wake up and find her beside him. But it’s not a dream, it’s real, Rogue is dead. He can’t see or hear her laughs, smiles, angry, plays with him, practices with him, and hits him when she is angry or jealous. He can’t see Rogue like that anymore. She is dead. The though struck him like a lightning. He cries silently. Then he screams to the sky, calling her name as if it can brings her back to her lifeless body. He doesn’t care anymore, not care when Daimajin came joining the guards, nor a grenade that was thrown by a frightened guard at him. The grenade explodes, creating a big explosion sound and fire that consumes Ryu Dragon and Rogue.

Daimajin grabs the guard who thrown the grenade by his collar. “You fool !!! Who told you to threw the grenade ?” Then he rips the guard into two parts and throws the body away. He looks at the fire from the grenade and then turns. Cursing silently for he’s not the one who killed Ryu Dragon. Suddenly he felt an energy comes from behind him, he turns around to see who’s coming.

From the fire, Ryu Dragon comes out, he is carrying Rogue’s body in his hands. He walks out of the fire as if walks normally. The explosion or fire affected neither his condition, his clothes nor Rogue’s. A stream of blood tear is running from both eyes down his cheeks. His red headband waves as if there is wind coming at him.
