For the Fight Ch. 11
By RC
Chun Li opened the black door and peered inside. People were crowded against
the walls and in any other free space. Most of the men were crowded around a
man Chun Li knew to be Chin.
Chin had a cigar gripped tightly between his lips and was arguing with a man
that had a fist full of bills. Chun Li watched as the man reluctantly handed
over the money and slumped against the wall sitting next to his fellows.
Against the entire right side of the big room were many of the female agents
of Interpol who were watching the fight and admiring a man in the center of the
large room. He had on a pair of blood stained brown fingerless fighting gloves,
a snow white gi with the sleeves torn off, a pair of white pants frayed at the
bottom and a worn black belt tied around his waist. And to top off the ensamble
he wore a scarlet ribbon around his head.
Chun Li watched as he bashed one of her friends in the stomach with his
knee. The man hunched over and the fighter brought down his elbow into the
man's spine hard. Chun Li watched as her friend grunted and fell on his face.
Chin hurried over to the fallen man and checked on him.
"He'll be all right, Ryu wins! Pay up suckers." Chin said with a
broad smile as he puffed on his cigar.
The fighter clad in white backed away from his fallen opponent and happened
to draw near to the right wall. Chun Li frowned as instantly the fighter was
set upon by her female comrades who started giggling and asking the man
questions.
Chun Li saw her fellow agent dragged over to the wall next to another
unconcious man. And now that she looked closely she saw that almost all the
agents along the left wall were either out cold, wincing in pain, or injured in
some way.
She looked back to the unknown fighter who had by now extracted himself from
the female agents and was backing away. Chun Li grinded her teeth and headed
toward Chin.
"What the h*ll is going on?" She asked as she reached the big man.
Chin turned and smiled.
"Oh, hello Miss Xiang, well you see one of your boys insulted my friend
here because he was being a little rough with those big robots and my friend
here doesn't speak Mandarin all that well, so your boy took a swing at him.
Needless to say, my bud whooped him and then all his friends wanted a crack at
him, so I've organized a friendly little exhibition." Chin told her with a
smile.
Chun Li looked over at her fellow agents and replied, "Friendly...half
of them are unconcious."
Chin raised his hands(Which were full of money)and gave her an innocent look
as he said, "Can I help it if your pals go and slam their heads into his
foot? No I can't, so have a nice day."
Chun Li rejected the impulse to slug him, as she knew he was good and
probably had a gun within easy reach. She felt a tap on her shoulder and
turned.
It was Joseph, one of her friends.
"Great Chun, you made it! Look you're the best one here. He's trashed
everyone from A to Z. We can't let him get away with it....and besides...we
kind of need our money back."
Chun Li rolled her eyes and shoved him back into his friends.
"You owe me big time." She said as she walked to the center of the
room.
"YES!!" Joseph said.
"Everybody, get together some cash, payday's comin'!" He yelled.
Chin grabbed her arm with one hand and removed the cigar with the other. She
turned and leveled her gaze at him.
"Look Li, he can do some funky sh*t. You sure you want to do
this?" Chin asked with a look of concern.
She pressed her thumb into a pressure point on his hand as she removed it
from her arm and smiled at him.
Chin smiled as he replaced his cigar and turned to the fighter.
"Hey Ryu,you got any reservations about fightin' a member of the
gentler sex?" Chin called out.
The man merely shrugged and adjusted his gloves.
Chin smiled and yelled, "Well, that's as close to a 'yes' as we'll get
from him, so PLACE YER BETTS FELLAS!!"
