Recalled to Life... Ch.1 (Part 1)- Secrets

Hong Kong

Chun-Li was walking through the bustling streets of Hong Kong. Sipping a smoothie in one hand and holding a shopping bag in another, she enjoyed her peaceful day off from teaching her students. She was to meet her bestfriend Liz for lunch. Liz was the elder sister of one of her students and happened to also be an ex-Interpol agent, just like Chun-Li. She strode through street after street noticing families, single people (especially the obvious bachelors eyeing her), but most of all she noticed couples that walked together full of serenity, love, and happiness created by their, just as lucky, partners. As she felt happy for them, she also envied them. It has been ages since all her vengeance for Bison wasn't needed any longer due to his death by her close friend, Ryu. After that tournament, she came back home, confused, lost, and finally realizing an empty space where so much hatred and lust for revenge used to be. She had realized what hate had made her and how being the strongest woman in the world meant nothing to her b/c she attained that title the wrong, dishonorable way. Now, she realized why Ryu and others could easily beat her. It wasn't all b/c of skill or power (well, maybe a little), but b/c of the basis of motivation. She had nothing else to do, but start over. -And start over she did. She quit Interpol and co-teaches a local Martial Arts school w/ Master Gen, whom is her Sensei. She respects him and sees him as her 2nd father. He, in return, sees her as his partial daughter and is training her not to use anger, spite, and hate as the way to fight. She still had that gap inside her. That space that needed to be filled. What she needed to fill the space w/ was love. Love from her friends, which she has, love from her family, which Master Gen (her practically only family) gives her, and love from??? Who was to fill in that space completing her? Of course this was all new to her. She's never had a "normal" life. To her, normal life, meant fighting, hating and more hating. Now, this whole new life style has given her more confusion than she had realized. She feared that by the time she would know what she would want in life, it'd be gone… slipped through her powerful, yet graceful fingers. She was so naive in her new life w/ all these new emotions. She needed to grow up quickly b/c the world and time didn't care how confused or lost she was; it just kept on going and seemed to get faster.*I can't yell at myself forever for being so foolish in the past. If I keep this up, I'll never get anywhere I want to be in the future.* She walked on and stopped at a little shopping market. She noticed magazines and a whole rack of Anime. "Anime? Hmm. That's from Japan, right?" Then she remembered someone… a friend that rumored to be just finished w/ his latest tournament. "Ryu. I wonder how he has been fairing," She walked by a TV store hearing the sounds of the news. "This just in, it seems as one of the most feared warriors on the planet, Gill, has been defeated weeks ago by the hand of some Japanese local warrior named, Ryu. Little is known or released on the subject from Interpol, but sources say-" Chun-Li felt like stopping, but she was already late for her lunch meeting w/ Liz. *Ryu, where-ever you are, I'm happy your alive and like always you've beaten the invincible and proven to be, once again, the strongest warrior on the planet.* She sighed, "Perfecting the fight," that was his motto. Your just as naïve as I am when it comes to a normal life. You always enjoy a good fight b/c you always find a way to win. One day your quest to perfect the fight will be attained and you'll be just as lost as I am in this world," She walked more quickly as she scurried to the newly open café. "Hey Liz, so sorry I'm late. You know me and Foleys got a thing going."
