Of Love, Honour and Revenge Ch. 31
By Matt Lawson
“Hello, my student. So, the jaguar becomes nothing more than a hyena.”
“And you’re just an old tiger, teacher.”
Adon launched a Jaguar kick towards Sagat, and slammed his heel into Sagat’s
chest. Sagat staggered back from the force, but managed to regain his
composure.
The teacher and the student readied themselves for a cat fight. The Tiger
versus the Jaguar.
Sagat wiped the side of his mouth with his fist and stood tall, towering
over Adon. He cracked his knuckles, raised his fists to his head and prepared
to fight. Adon moved his head band a little, placed his right leg forward, and
put his own fists and bent his wrists forwards, ready to fight. Sagat towered
over Adon, his 7 ft 4 in. body dwarfing Adon’s six foot frame.
Sagat launched the first attack. He brought the cups of his palms together,
and charged his energy between them, pushing his fists forward to fire a low
Tiger shot. Adon jumped over, the fireball exploding on the ground, and
launched another Jaguar kick. Sagat dived away to the left, Adon bringing his
heel into the ground.
After a forward roll, Sagat launched another low Tiger shot into Adon, this
time hitting him directly into the side. Adon was knocked along the floor,
sliding up to the wall, but he managed to move his feet over his head and onto
the floor before he impacted, his head lifting itself upwards as he flipped
himself upright.
Sagat took to the offensive and attacked with a flying kick towards Adon,
who ducked and spun under the attack to launch his own. As soon as Sagat
landed, Adon launched a downward axe-kick towards his opponent’s shoulder, but
Sagat lifted his arm in an upper block. The heel crashed down onto Sagat’s
forearm, causing little damage.
Adon retracted the foot to block a low punch by Sagat with his knee, but was
on the end of some close punching by Sagat. Sagat roundhouse hooked Adon to the
right side of the head, then uppercutted Adon’s stomach, first with his right
fist, then with his left. Sagat finished the attack by performing a Tiger
crush, bringing his knee into Adon’s stomach, then raising it up to his chin,
lifting himself and his student into the air.
Adon crashed to the ground on his back as Sagat landed to his feet, feeling
a warm trickle of blood inside his mouth. He managed to lift himself to his
feet, wiped off the blood that trickled out of his mouth with his fist, smiled,
then shifted back into his fighting stance. Sagat stood upright, his eye
glaring down on his student.
“I draw first blood,” he said.
Adon said nothing, but simply replied by running towards Sagat and drawing
his knee to Sagat’s groin. Sagat, expecting such an attack, draw his left foot
behind his right and turned. The knee flying past his shorts, then grabbed a
surprised Adon’s head. He turned and threw Adon over his shoulder, sending his
opponent flying. However, the student managed to flip himself over, landing on
his feet, then leaped back into the air and kicked down towards Sagat’s head.
Sagat managed to dive to the right as the foot flew overhead.
Sagat rolled along the floor and stood up drawing his fists to his face. His
one eye stared at a smiling Adon, who stood up in defiance at the giant’s
anger. Adon rushed forward and attacked, kicking towards Sagat with a number of
Muay Thai techniques. Sagat fell back, blocking every downward and forward kick
that Adon launched. As soon as Sagat had his back to the wall, he ducked to
avoid a high kick to Sagat’s head from Adon’s right foot, which smashed into
the wall. Sagat launched a foot sweep to Adon’s left foot, but before it
connected Adon’s ankle, Adon pushed upward and launched himself backward with a
somersault.
Sagat stood upright in surprise, only to see Adon suddenly change direction
from jumping backward to diving forward, foot outstretched as he performed his
Jaguar Tooth. The foot connected into Sagat’s scar, causing a great shudder of
pain in Sagat’s body. Sagat gritted his teeth in agony as his old wound was
attacked, and fell to one knee.
“Heh, that scar just shows how weak you really are, Sagat.”
Sagat looked up to see Adon suddenly run towards him, then elbow him in five
different places. He then performed a Rising Jaguar, but this time his knee
smashed Sagat’s chest three times.
“JAGUAR ASSASSIN!”
Sagat staggered back into the wall, his scar burning within him. He looked
through dizzy eyes as Adon suddenly attacked again. The first attacks wasn’t
enough.
Adon attacked Sagat with his back against the wall. After four strikes, Adon
went into an extremely rapid punch. Sagat was hit with several blows, as Adon
punched again and again. Finally, Adon stopped attacking, and stepped back to
survey his work.
Sagat collapsed onto the floor, thoroughly weakened by Adon’s Jaguar
Thousand. The scar burned through his chest, causing a great deal of pain. He
tried to crawl away using his arms to drag himself along the floor. Adon placed
his foot onto his head, and pushed it down onto the floor.
Sagat’s face was pressed into the stone as Adon continued pushing it down.
He managed to look up and saw through his eye the faces of the slaves locked
away behind the cell doors. The had the hands out, pleading with him to save
them.
“You see them, Sagat? Their empty eyes, their pitiful expressions? It shows their
hope of freedom being completely destroyed….as I destroy you, my old teacher.”
Sagat’s anger fueled his determination. He was not going to be bested by his
own student.
Gritting his teeth, he suddenly found the strength to lift himself upwards,
causing a surprised Adon to fall backwards as his balance was toppled over.
Sagat drew himself upright, showing fierce determination to end all of this.
As Adon flipped himself upright, he suddenly saw Sagat run to the attack.
Sagat launched several knees, kicks and punches into Adon, who was forced to
block without any chance of a counter attack. Try as hard as he could, Adon
could not fully block Sagat’s powerful blows as he staggered backwards further
and further towards the wall. Finally, when he let his guard down, Sagat saw an
opening and took it. He grabbed Adon’s head, brought it down, and kneed him
several times in the stomach. Small droplets of blood choked out of Adon’s
mouth as Sagat continued to slam his knee into Adon. Finally, Sagat drew Adon’s
head back upright and saw a man stunned and confused. Sagat’s scar seemed to
glow as he drew forth his anger.
“TIGER GENOCIDE!!” Sagat shouted into Adon’s face. Adon didn’t seem to hear,
but knew what was coming. Sagat threw a Tiger crush, bringing the knee deep
into Adon’s stomach. He quickly landed, then, as Adon was still airborne,
performed a low Tiger uppercut, sending Adon higher. Finally, as soon as Sagat
landed, he performed his most powerful Tiger uppercut. Adon was sent flying
into the wall, and dropped down to the floor as Sagat landed. Sagat stood
upright as he saw Adon sit motionless against the floor. The slaves in their
cells were silenced by the scene that had just happened.
After a while, Sagat turned to open one of the cells, but was stopped as
Adon started to stagger back to his feet, using the floor as leverage.
“It’s not over, it’s not over by a long shot.”
Sagat turned round and saw Adon fumble with something up the leg of his
shorts. Adon drew out a small pistol, a Derringer, from out of them. It was a
small backup pistol with two rounds.
Sagat looked around. He couldn’t perform a Tiger shot without Adon pulling
the trigger. He also knew that he had to kill Adon, but he only had enough
strength for an under-powered Tiger Cannon, it wasn’t enough. He then looked up
at the ceiling above Adon.
Charging up his energy into his hands, he waited until Adon was about. Then,
finally, Adon did. Sagat ducked under the bullet, drew his fists back, and with
a powerful cry launched a Tiger Cannon towards the ceiling.
The rocky ceiling exploded, and several pieces of rock fell down onto Adon,
who raised his arms over his head. Sagat jumped back so as not to be hit by any
of the falling rock.
When the dust settled, Sagat stood upright. Before him was only a pile of
rubble, save for Adon’s hand sticking out from it, still holding the Derringer.
The hand was motionless.
Sagat walked up to the pile and snatched the small pistol from out of Adon’s
hand.
“Against the Jaguar, the Tiger is always the strongest. You should have
known that by now, my student.”
Sagat used the remaining bullet in the Derringer to open the box containing
the keys to the cell doors, took them out, then opened the cells.
Cammy ran into the chamber, shooting the guards that were inside. She
strapped the FAMAS to her back and took out the Thermite Plasma mines out of
her backpack. Dan covered the entrance behind her, Sakura hiding behind him.
She set the timer on the mines to fifteen minutes and latched them on several
of the missiles, making sure that the blast area would cover the whole chamber.
She heard gunfire as Dan fired at several arriving agents.
“Hurry it up, girl, we’re getting some more company here!” Dan shouted to
Cammy as he defended the chamber. “You think I don’t know that?” Cammy replied.
Dan mumbled something under his breath, but neither Cammy or Sakura heard
him.
Finally, Cammy set the last mine in place. They were ready to go. She
clicked a button on the remote, and all at once, the countdown started.
She put the FAMAS back into her hands, helped Danny clear out some more
agents, and they started to head for a way out.
Suddenly, the speakers in the corridor bellowed out a message. “All personnel,
report to their positions. We’ll be firing the Psycho beam in five minutes. I
repeat….”
“S***!” Cammy cursed to herself. “We’ve got to stop it. Where’s the control
room?”
“Follow me!” Dan said.
Despite Cammy’s distrust towards Dan, she had no choice. She followed,
Sakura running after her, hoping that the control room wasn’t more than five
minutes away.
