Prophecy Ch.2

"It's Bison...he alive."

With saying that, Chun Li slipped into darkness once again. Ryu was wide-eyed, remembering...

*FLASHBACK*

"Hadouken!", Ryu cries as he shoots the flaming ball at Bison. Bison goes soaring back from the impact. The ball explodes in blast. Ryu goes flying back from the effect. Two sparks of lights fly up into the swirling whirlwind of power created by the blast. The building explodes.

"Ryu! Ken!", Chun Li cries and takes off running toward them. In a distance, Ryu is helping Ken walk. She races toward them and gives them a big hug...

*END FLASHBACK*

"...I thought I....", Ryu shakes his head.

"Hey pal, we need to get her to a hospital."

Ken, having recovered from the shock faster than Ryu, brought him back to the present situation. Still, he knew what was going through his best friend's head. They could hear the sirens outside. The door burst open with medics strolling a stretcher. Hesitantly, Ryu and Ken back away from Chun Li so that the paramedics can take her to the hospital.

Guy stands quitely by Ken as they look through the window allowing a view of Chun Li resting in a hospital bed.

"Ryu!"

Ryu turns to Sakura with a questionally look.

"YOUR PACING IS DRIVING ME CRAZY! STOP BEFORE YOU PUT A HOLE IN THE FLOOR!!!!"

Ryu only slightly knods. Sakura immediately regretting her irritated words. After four hours of waiting, Ken and Ryu had plenty of time to account the times they had with Chun Li with Guy and Sakura.

".....Hi, I'm Chun Li. Are you ready for your grand tour?...."

The sweet words appeared several times in Ken's head. He slighty punches the wall.

"WHY WON"T THE DOCTORS COME AND TALK TO US!!!!!"

He turns and sees a quiet Ryu with his head clutched by his hands. The images run through Ryu's mind over and over again...

*FLASBACK*

-Kowloon Palace

"Are you sure this is a place for a girl?", Ryu asks scratching his head.

"I AM NOT A 'LIL GIRL! I'M A TOUR GUIDE!!!!!!", Chun Li yells.

*END FLASHBACK*

"...Chun Li...", Ryu murmurs.

Guy helplessly looks at the two. He then puts his attention back on the Chinese women laying on the bed. Slightly under his breathe so that no one could hear, "You're a lucky girl to have these two care about you this much. Don't let them down."

"...Don't let them down...", Sakura heard the words perfectly. She knew that she wasn't meant to though, judging by the fact that he didn't look for an acknowledgement. Then, she turned to look at Chun Li. Thinking to herself, "She's so special to them...to Ryu..." "Huh?" Sakura's thoughts are interrupted as she senses a fifth presence in the abandoned medical hallway.

"Are you all family?"

All four faces turn to see a doctor.

"Is she going to be okay?", Guy asks with concern easily noticeable in his voice.

"She'll be all right. You can take her home as soon as she wakes. But bring her back if she has any problems at all." He smiles to see releived faces. "You can all go in to see her, but once she returns home get her to rest. Test signs show that she hasn't had it in a very long time." With that, he turns and walk away murmuring,"Strong girl...."

Sakura breaks the silence,"She hasn't had rest in a while...wonder why that is."

"I know why." They all turn to see Cammy White approaching.

"Cammy!" They all say in a surprising unision.

"It's nice to see you again.", Sakura added.

"It's good to see you all also."

"Can you tell us what you meant when you said that you knew why the doctor said that?", asked Ken.

"Well, after I left you guys a month ago, I traveled for a while. Then, about a week ago, I ran into Chun Li at the Hong Kong airport. She looked really upset for some reason..."

*FLASHBACK* -At the Cafe in the airport

"Hey Li, are you sure you're okay"

"Hmm? Oh, oh yeah I'm fine.", Chun Li replied pretending to wave the whole situation off with her hand.

"You sure? You look really exhausted and tense."

"I'm fine...I just have some stuff that's been happening and I haven't been able to rest that well. But don't worry I can handle it."

Cammy gave her an annoyed\concerned look.

"REALLY! I am. Now, I'm going to miss my flight back to the States if I don't hurry! I talk to you later okay!"

"Wait, why are you going there agin?"

"Just vacation that's all. I gotta go."

She gave her friend a quick hug and ran off to the terminal.

"...you're hiding something Li...", Cammy said while going to get a taxi.

*END FALSHBACK*

"My guess is that they've been following her for some time now, that's probably why she hasn't been able to rest well."

After a few moments of silence...

"Why didn't she tell you or come to us?!", Ryu asked in fustration. After hearing the details of how Chun Li didn't let anyone help her, he had to yell. He and Ken could have protected her!! ... the thoughts went through his head.

"You know how she is. She doesn't want anyone to be involved that didn't have to. She couldn't stand to see anyone hurt, especially her friends."

Ken chuckled,"Sound like something she would do." After a pause,"But why would she come here to New York and show up at the Fundraiser?"

Cammy thought awhile,"I guess she wanted to try and hide or keep a low profile for a while. The Fundraiser was the perfect place with all the publicity, maybe she thought that she could blend in somewhat."

"Maybe....", Ryu tredded of, still worried about the countless time Bison and his goons may have pursued Chun Li in the past without anyone there to help her.

"Did her father know?", Guy asked;from hearing from Ryu and Ken, he gathered that her father was a very respected detective.

"Probably not. I don't think that anyone knew since Chun Li refused to tell anyone about it.", Cammy stated sadly.

"But why would they go after her?", Guy questioned again.

"I'm not exactly.."

"Guys look!", Sakura was tired of all the talking when she saw something stirr in the dimly lighted room. "I think that she's waking up!"

Ken and Ryu quickly rushed into the room.
