Letting Go Ch.9
By Maia
Bison stepped forward out of the shadows.
Vega looked on in disbelief as Chun Li continued to struggle within his grasp.
He narrowed his eyes.
“What did you say?”
He let Chun Li slide to the floor. She immediately brought both hands to her
throat and breathed heavily, trying to make up for the lack of air received.
Bison remained expressionless, “I said to not touch her.”
Vega took two threatening steps forward. “WE had a deal!”
Bison smirked. “Yes. We have a deal, but I still do not have Ryu OR Ken in
my grasp!! Therefore—“
“NO!” The two turned their attention to Chun Li.
Bison looked at her amusingly, “What?”
He approached her menacingly, but was stopped by an outstretched hand. He
cocked his head to the side and found a fierce Vega.
“She’s mine!”
With the flick of a wrist, Bison threw Vega into the back wall.
“Don’t toy with me you pathetic being!”
He snapped his fingers and summoned two guards. They quickly picked up the
semi-conscious Spaniard and escorted him away.
Bison looked at Chun Li. “Don’t assume that you will somehow avoid the
inevitable. Your precious friends might have escaped me one time, but not
again. Once I have them, I will have no further use for you…but for Vega…Well,
let’s just leave you to think about that.”
As he turned to leave the cell, Chun Li ran at him with full force,
preparing a spinning bird kick to his back.
Bison reached up in front of him and grasped the air. He turned around and
found Chun Li dangling in mid air, held by an invisible force. A smile crept
slowly on the corners of his mouth.
“Silly girl.”
He brought his hand to the side as she fell to the floor unconscious.

Ryu, Sakura, and Ken were pushed in the backseat of one car. They looked out
the window and found all cars leaving in different direction. A man climbed
into the seat facing them.
Ken had had enough. “What the h*ll is going on here?!”
The man let out a sigh of relief. “I apologize Mr. Masters. My name is
Terrance, but please call me Terry.” He stuck out his hand for Ken to shake.
Ken sat there. And looked at him, then at his cuffs.
Terry turned grimaced. “Oops. Hehe. Forgot about those.” He reached into his
front pocket and pulled out one key. After all the handcuffs were removed, he
spoke again.
“I apologize for the scene. I suspect that there is an insider at the
station.”
Ryu stopped from rubbing his wrists. “Why is that?”
“Well…knowingly against your orders Mr. Master, I listened to the tape.”
Ken narrowed his eyes. “I specifically told you not to do that!”
Terrance raised his hands objectively. “I know. But…I was Mr. Dori’s
partner.”
Sakura was shocked. “Chun Li’s father?”
He nodded his head. “I’ve only met Chun Li a few times, but she was a great
person. And I remembered the day I promised to protect her once her father was
killed.”
He brought his head down. Almost brought to tears when he thought about his
partner, everyone knew that it was the only reason he never allowed to be
assigned to another. Taking a deep breath, he looked up again.
“When we worked together, we came across one of Bison’s hideouts.”
Ken, now away from anger, spoke calmly. “So, you think that Bison is
responsible also.”
Terry shook his head.
“What does that have to do with where Chun Li is?” Sakura asked.
Before he could answer, Ryu spoke.
“That’s where Chun Li is.”
Terry shook his head. “We’re going there now.”
