Under the Moonlight Ch. 7
By Kaze
"What happened here?" Chun Li asked as she casually dipped her donut
into her coffee. She was standing before Jill, scribbling whatever on a
notepad, the two were at the scene of a strange accident.
"Don't know . . . fifty people just disappeared with a bus." Jill
shrugged.
"Disappeared?"
"Yea, like poof!"
"Probably the Negaverse or whatever." Chun Li muttered as she
finally decided to take a bite out of her donut.
"You've been getting ahead of the script lately." Jill noted.
"Haven't had enough coffee yet."
"Okay, whatever, let's get going to the Hikawa shrine." Jill said,
leading Chun Li.
"Yeesh, to be greeted by an old munchkin . . ." Chun Li sighed.
"Stop getting ahead of the script!" Jill whacked Chun Li at the
side of the head.
~~~~
"Well, that was certainly pointless." Chun Li grumbled as she
peered down at the paper talisman.
Jill was busy trying to cover her laughter. Apparently, the shintoist's
daughter thought there was something evil about Chun Li and slapped a paper
talisman on her head. Chun Li had been knocked out for a little while.
"Hey, I don't remember there being a tarot shop around here." Jill
blinked, staring at said tarot shop.
"Ho hum, it doesn't matter . . ." Chun Li yawned.
"Hmm, another bus, poor kids, those girls look almost like you."
Jill noted, as several female students boarded a bus. "All drained of
energy, absolutely no life or motivation in them."
"HEY!" Chun Li flared.
Then they saw the bus go off and disappear through a portal.
" . . ."
" . . ."
"Negaverse." Jill sighed.
"Who else?" Chun Li shook her head in despair.
"Means that we'll have to wear those silly outfits again . . ."
"I was kinda hoping it would be terrorists or something, at least I can
try out that shiny new bazooka in the armory." Chun Li sighed wistfully as
the image of said weapon floated into her mind.
"My, that was certainly interesting." a voice said.
Chun Li and Jill turn to face a woman with purple hair in an exotic dress
with a yellow scarf hanging loosely around her shoulders.
"My name is Rose, pleased to meet you." the woman bowed.
"Investigators Chun Li and Jill." Jill said curtly as she and Chun
Li produced their badges. "Do you have an idea of what's happening?"
"Yes . . . the source of evil power seems to be coming from that
shrine." Rose pointed.
"Alright, I have an excuse to kick that girl and her annoying old man's
*ss now." Chun Li grinned as she cracked her knuckles.
"You still need a warrant." Jill said.
"Party pooper . . ."
"There won't be anymore buses, that was the last one that stops here
for the day. We can't do anything else but wait until tomorrow." Jill
shrugged.
"Take-out?" Chun Li asked.
"What else?"
~~~~
Rose sighed as she stepped on the bus with Chun Li. From her senses, she
could tell that the writer (TM) was having an enormous migraine trying to adapt
an incredibly lame episode into something that was half decent. She couldn't
blame him for trying however, after all, this was her big entrance. And he better
get on with the story instead of wasting typing space going into her thoughts.
Stop it. She meant it. Stop it already!
The writer (TM) kowtows for forgiveness upon the intrusion of the mind of
one most exalted and revered. Now that done, Rose sat down in a seat, ignoring
the zombies that had been drained of their energy from the Negaverse, or had
been going to school. Both did the same thing. Chun Li, as usual, was late. She
watched passively as the Investigator pushed her way in through the doors, panting
heavily, looking not unlike those around her.
"I told you not to party so hard last night." Rose sighed,
touching her forehead.
Chun Li muttered a few choiced oaths towards the violet-haired fortune
teller as she settled down beside her, waiting for this fic to actually get
going. And for the writer (TM) to get out of her head and get the bus moving.
NOW!
The writer (TM) kowtows in forgiveness for angering one so exalted and high
almighty.
The bus moves into the dark portal as Chun Li and Rose both yawn.
"Popcorn?" Chun Li asked, holding out her bag in front of Rose.
"Don't mind if I do." Rose said, taking some popcorn.
~~~~
Of course, for those who are Sailor Moon fans, they know that the bus driver
(TM), is a youma. Youma, as in evil monster, bad guy, no fashion sense. You get
the idea. Chun Li transforms into Sailor Moon with all her four minute splendor
of changing into the outfit with an awesomely sickening show of pyrotechnices
involving colors like . . . pink. But nonethless, Chun Li fanboys are spurting
their blood all over the place.
"Well, its kinda obvious by now, but . . . MARS POWER . . . MAKE
UP!" Rose shouted, holding her wand high into the air, entering her
transformation scene which would take about two minutes in which the youma
would still not press to its advantage. Must be entranced by the pretty colors
of something. The writer (TM) at the moment would like to say that he is NOT,
absolutely NOT responsible for immense loss of blood at the image of Rose
transforming into Sailor Mars, and the thought of this shapely woman in such a
short skirt.
The writer (TM), knows that there is one person in particular out there who
is probably banging his fist on his desk and drooling at such a thought.
The writer (TM) better shut up now before he gets hurt.
"This is silly." Rose muttered, looking down towards the short
skirt. Looking at the youma, she sighed in resignation as she powered up for
her ultimate attack. "AURA . . . SOUL SPARK!"
Adios, youma.
"Now, how do you drive this thing?" Tuxedo Mask muttered as he
worked at the wheel of the bus.
He doesn't know how to drive.
"Move aside and go trip on your cape or something!" Sailor Moon
muttered as she yanked him out of the seat to take position at the wheel.
Looking around the quickly disentegrating dimension, Sailor Moon glanced
sarcastically over at Sailor Mars who entered the bus. "A bit too much
don't you think?"
"As if you would have done any better!" Sailor Mars retorted.
"So how the h*ll are we going to get out of here?"
~~~~
Jill yawned and checked the watch, noting the time, she stood up and turned
on her flashlight just as the Negaverse portal appeared.
~~~~
"You know you're supposed to be madly in love with him, right?"
Sailor Mars told Sailor Moon when they finally got out of the dimension and
Tuxedo Mask had tripped away on his cape.
"So are you!" Sailor Moon retorted.
"Good point."
Chun Li's Voice: Next episode of Sailor Moon, Wonderland of Horror!
Whooooooo!!! *Whacks the writer (TM) across the head for such a corny preview.*
