Under the Moonlight Ch. 3
By Kaze

"Its midnight . . . time for Midnight Zero." the announcer said softly in a cool sexy voice with the hint of an accent in it. "Tonight's love letter is by a passionate woman named Haruna, her letter goes, 'I only wrote about you in my old diaries. And now I only write about the old times. I want to see you . . . I want to see you again. I want to tell you my true feelings.' That's all, Miss Haruna, you win a very special flower from Midnight Zero."

"Hmph . . . what kind of radio program is that?" Chun Li muttered to herself as she hugged her blanket closer to her. "Just something for lonely females out there . . ."

"Then why are you still up at this hour listening to it?" Luna smirked, then hissed. "Come on, you have to get to work on time tomorrow!"

Chun Li was deeply considering the idea of borrowing one of the dogs at the police station and setting him loose on Luna. The thought became a pleasant dream while she slept.

The next morning at *shudder* school . . .

"Good morning, class . . ." Miss Haruna yawned as she strolled in. "Please rise, bow, and be seated." She flipped open the attendance book, and called out the first five names before she drooped again. "Just study on your own for now, class."

Aaah, wouldn't we all like to have a teacher like that?

"Haruna, I've come to give the class some counseling on cri-" Chun Li blinked at the sleeping Haruna at her desk. "Haruna?"

Somewhere out on the streets . . .

Luna sighed. "I don't know what I'm going to do with that woman."

"Hello, kitty." a voice called as a hand reached down to pat her gently on the head. "What are you doing out here?"

Had he heard her talking? Luna thought to herself, and decided to play his bluff by meowing and purring.

"Nice kitty." Luna purred as she glanced up towards the smiling man with the red bandanna around his forehead.

The man went inside to the arcade and setted out a small saucer of milk for her.

Luna did what any cat would do, she drank, and thought of how nice it would be if Chun Li did this more often.

Back to school *waaahhh* . . .

"This is strange." Chun Li muttered to herself as she took notes on Haruna's condition as the paramedics took her away. "Haruna's students are the ones who usually fall asleep in her class, not her . . ."

"Miss Chun Li, I'm so sorry that this happened." the principal of the school bowed in apology to her. "This was such a waste of your time."

"Don't worry about it, things come up." Chun Li smiled in reassurance, but she was inwardly laughing. Now she wouldn't have to stand in front of the classroom like some kind of moron with all these kids looking at her!

"But I've talked to your commanding officer, he said that you are quite an experienced teacher back at the Academy. Would you please sub for Miss Haruna for a little while to instruct them on crime and such?"

"I'd be . . . delighted to." Chun Li smiled a false smile as she inwardly snarled at her commanding officer, the old fart just wouldn't get over that prank she and several other officers had done a while back. Her lips curled into a half-grin though, she had to admit that it was definitely one of the best.

Who knew that the old bugger wore a whig?

Radio Station . . .

"We've been getting all these letters for a radio show on our station I didn't know existed." the manager said in wonder. "Midnight Zero?"

"Don't worry, sir. I'll take care of these." a voluptious woman sauntered into his office and leaned forward on his desk, giving him a delightful view of the top of her cleavage.

"Gah . . . gah . . . gah . . ." was all the manager could let out while the woman gathered all the letters and left, leaving a dazed, yet very lucky, man behind.

Yea, yea, so that never happened in the show. But I tell ya, its alot more believable than the guy simply letting it go!

Later that night . . .

"Its midnight . . ." the husky voice with the light accent whispered.

"Yea, I know." Chun Li yawned as she listened to the DJ, Veg Ga, read the love letter of tonight's winner. "Tell me something I don't know." Chun Li rolled her eyes.

"This letter was written by Miss Naru." Veg whispered. "Miss Naru, your special Midnight Zero flower will be delivered promptly at your doorsteps."

Chun Li merely snored away in bed.

The next day . . .

"Oh wow, pretty . . ."

"I wish I could have one . . ."

"Yea, and it smells good too!"

"Aaaahh . . . lucky!"

Chun Li rolled her eyes heavenward as she read a thick book on ways to get back at your commanding officer without getting in trouble. She dipped her donut into her coffee for a moment and took a bite before she turned the page. It was already an hour since class officially began. But Chun Li figured that these children had been working much too hard already, and needed to relax and socialize with one another.

If you believed that, the writer has a bridge in New York he wants to sell you.

"Oh, Miss Chun Li . . ." Umino began to creep up with a bouquet of red roses.

"What is it, Umino?" Chun Li sighed.

"I have a present for you, since you're such a fantastic teacher and all . . ."

They say love or obsession can dull a man's wits.

"That's nice, Umino, place them on the desk and get back to your seat." Chun Li munched on her donut.

"Naru!" a girl's voice shouted in alarm.

Chun Li's gaze quickly centered upon the unconcious Naru with the flower in her hands. She got up quickly and ran to Natsu's daughter, but when she touched Naru by the flower . . .

Chun Li fell back sleeping.

La la land . . .

"Alright, buster, who are you?" Chun Li asked the masked man in the tuxedo and cape before her.

"Um, your future boyfriend?" he replied.

"Yeaaa, sure." Chun Li rolled her eyes. "I'm going to have a boyfriend who wears a tuxedo and a cape he trips over constantly."

"Look who's talking . . . Miss Too High Skirt." the masked man muttered. His stomach rumbled. "I'm hungry . . ."

"Look buster! It wasn't my choice to wear that outfit!" Chun Li fumed. "Now take off that mask so I can get a good luck at you!"

The masked man was about to remove his mask when . . .

The alarm clock rings . . .

"WAKE UP!" Luna shouted.

"AAAAAAHH!!" Chun Li groped at the air and sat up quickly in bed. She glared over at Luna while rubbing her left ear, wincing at the ringing in her head.

"It has to be that radio station." Luna said, unsympathetic towards her owner's pain.

"I kinda figured that out when I saw the flower." Chun Li winced as she swung her legs out of bed.

"Where are you going?"

"To get a warrant of course!"

"As if anyone would believe that the Negaverse took over a radio station so they could send out special flowers in order to suck the life energy out of people!"

"Good point."

At radio station . . .

"I can't exactly go in like this you know . . . I need a warrant." Chun Li scowled down at Luna as they looked to the giant man who stood before the guard station.

E. Honda.

Luna did that spinning thing in the air, and somehow made a brightly colored pen appear in Chun Li's hand.

"Wow, so what am I gonna use this for? Sign a warrant?" Chun Li looked sarcastically down the black cat. "Geez, a pen of all things . . ."

"Just say 'Moon Power' and call ot whatever you want to be?" Luna sighed.

"What's with you and all this 'moon' stuff?" Chun Li grumbled as she held the pen high.

Insert transformation for Chun Li to be disguised as a radio announcer. Insert scene where Chun Li discovers all the radio station workers are fast asleep.

"We are in the middle of the program, but there is some important news. We have discovered that the flower brooch sent from this program is very dangerous. Please don't touch it." Chun Li said hurriedly into the microphone.

"What the h*ll are you doing?!" Veg Ga shouted angrily.

The youma transformed and leaped into the announcer's booth where Chun Li was at, crashing through the window.

"Why are the monsters always some ugly female?" Chun Li muttered.

"UGLY?!" the youma screeched. "You know how much work I put into my face?!"

"Not enough I guess . . ."

"I'LL KILL YOU!"

Chun Li was about to pull out her gun when Luna shouted. "No! Transform!"

Chun Li grumbled and muttered. "Moon Prism Power . . . Make Up!"

Can't all you guys just donate this blood to a hospital all something?

"KIKOUSHO!" Chun Li shouted.

Bye bye, youma.

"Well, she wasn't very beautiful anyway, so she had to lose." Vega muttered as he checked himself in the mirror before he disappeared.

"Narcissist." Chun Li muttered.

At school now . . .

"WHO DID THIS?!" the chief shouted as he exploded from his office.

Everyone paused.

Everyone laughed.

His hair was covered with curlers, his face powdered with too much make-up, and the lip-stick was practically smeared on his lips.

Chun Li leaned against a wall and smirked. That ought to teach the old bugger not to mess with her.

Chun Li's Voice: Ack! I've had one too many donuts! Off to the gym for me! But wait! Something's not right about this place. Why the h*ll are people coming out more exhausted than they should?! Something's fishy going on here . . . Luna! Give me back my gun!
