Outbreak Ch. 18 (Part 1)
By Kat

Chun-li boarded the plane and sat down in first class. She had taken the window seat and looked out side. The workers were putting all the luggage at the bottom of the plane. Chun-li was wishing desperately that the plane would take off soon. And that no one purchased a ticket to the seat right beside her. Unfortunately the latter wouldn't come true. A tall man with black short spiked hair stopped in front of the seat right beside her. The man looked at his ticket, the at the seat, then at Chun-li. He smiled at her showing his pearly white teeth. Not wanting to be rude, Chun-li cracked a smile. He put his backpack in the over-head compartment then sat down.

'Please don't try and talk to me….Please don't try and talk to me…Please don't try and talk to me', Chun-li chanted over and over to herself. All she wanted was a nice…quiet…peaceful flight. When the man turned to face her after fastening his seat belt she knew the plea was in vain.

"Hi…I'm Wayne", he said smiling. Chun-li looked at him in the corner of her eye and suppressed a sigh. "Chun-li", she said. 'There…short but simple. Maybe he'll take the hint that I'm not in the mood for a light conversation', she said to herself. But the persistent man didn't. When he opened his mouth the intercom came on.

"Good-morning passengers this is your captin speaking", the voice said. Chun-li let out a slow breath and smiled. THERE WAS A GOD!

After the flight attendants gave instructions on the seat belts and what to do in case of an emergency…the plane started to take off. Chun-li reclined in her seat and looked out the window as the plane began to accelerate and climb higher and higher in the clear sky. She looked at the man sitting next to her and noticed he was trembling slightly. Chun-li looked down at his hands and saw they were gripping the armrest tightly.

"First time flying" Chun-li asked. 'GOOD GOING CHUN. You don't want to talk to him but yet your striking up a conversation?' she said to herself. She was hoping he didn't hear her. Wayne turned to her as the edges of his mouth lifted up in a nervous smile. "No actually…I just hate taking off", he said. Once the plane leveled he released a breath he had held ever since take-off. When he turned to her again…Chun-li realized that he probably wanted to talk some more. She quickly looked down and put on some headphones, which were connected to a radio in the armrest. Chun-li tried to turn the station, but ended up turning the volume up as far as it could go…

"HIT ME BABY ONE MORE TIME"

"OH BABY BABY"

Chun-li turned off the radio and took off the headphones. She looked around and blushed deeply when people that must had heard the music looked at her. She had gently put the headphones back in it's holding spot.

"I hope you don't mind me saying…but you are very beautiful when you blush" said Wayne with a flirtatious smile. Chun-li opened her mouth to say something…but instead she closed it and looked out her window. This was gonna be one long flight………
