Outbreak Ch. 17
By Kat

Chun-li got in her car after putting the swords in the trunk. She turned on the engine and began to drive. She didn't want to go home just yet. She had some thinking to do. So she decided to drive up to the hills…away from the cars and traffic…away from the buildings…away from the people. When she reached the hills she increased speed. Thank Goodness they weren't any officers patrolling up here. She was becoming another Ken Masters. She smiled thinking of her long time friend. "The speed demon himself", she mumbled. She had talked to some old acquaints to get his driving record cleared of all the speeding tickets and reckless driving reports. Ken had been extremely grateful. She made him promise that he'd watch it this time around…because that would be her last time doing something like that. The man she talked to had connections with the DMV. He told her 'Sure, anything for you', and bam…Ken's record was cleared. Chun-li though to herself she sure did have some powerful friends.

Chun-li rolled down her window to let the air blow on her face. She took a deep breath. When was the last time she had spoken with Ken, or Eliza…or Ryu? Ryu. When was the last time she had spoken with him? They were left with unfinished business. They had gotten real close their last encounter. REAL close. They had even kissed under the moonlight. How romantic could you get? They had been at Ken's estate and had gone out to the porch to look at the stars and talk. And for Ryu to be such a native man…and not knowing much about anything but the fight…the man could kiss! She had wanted to see how far he would even go…so she…she slipped him the tongue. She had thought he would draw back…or suggest that they should stop. So when he didn't Chun-li was REALLY surprised. She had pushed her tongue pass his lips gently. He shivered a little at first. Chun-li was sure he was going to break the kiss. After a few seconds, he caressed her tongue with his own. Then a duel with their tongues started.

Chun-li blushed and turned red at the memory. She didn't know how long they were at it. But it was a long time. Until Ken came out. They had pulled apart as fast as lightning before he could see. The next day Chun-li had to leave. They never had a chance to talk about what the kiss meant. And even though Ken never showed it…Chun-li was SURE he knew what had happened. Chun-li snapped out of her daydream when she noticed she was going over the yellow line.

Chun-li sighed and decided to turn around and go back home. She made a U-turn and traveled back down the hill. After getting home she packed her clothes and made her way to the airport. She stood in line and looked at the piece of paper Master Gen gave her. At that moment Chun-li realized that she really didn't want to go. But she knew she had to get help somewhere.

'Yeah right Chun…who else is there' said a voice in her mind. 'Shut up' she told it. But there had to be some one else…but who………………..

At that moment Chun-li felt something tap gently on her shoulder. She turned to see a short balding man with glasses. Who obviously had a stuttering problem.

"Um…I-I'm very sorry…but um…I was just wondering…um if you could…um move up please. I-I don't mean t-to be rude or anything but you are n-next in line and everything…I really would like to get my ticket b-before they sell out s-so I can see my f-family…so could you…um please m-move up……..please", he said. Before Chun-li could open her mouth to say anything she heard an unfamiliar voice in her head.

'Punch the impatient f*cker in the mouth. That'll shut him up' the voice said. Chun-li frowned deeply. 'Where did that come from' she asked herself. She saw the short man take a heavy in take of breath and flinch. She then realized that he must have thought the frown was meant for him. Chun-li let a smile spread on her face. "I'm very sorry…I got a little distracted", Chun-li said. The man exhaled slowly, relieved. Chun-li turned around to the woman behind the counter.

"Hello Miss, how may I be of service", she asked politely. "Hi", Chun-li responded, "I would like to purchase a one way ticket to-", Chun-li stopped when something in the corner of her eye caught her attention. She turned to see a woman and a child walking hand in hand. But that not what caught her attention…it was what the girl had in her hair. The girl's hair was in a ponytail with a red ribbon in it. The two ends of it were trailing down her back. 'THAT'S IT', Chun-li shouted to herself.

"You would like to buy a one way ticket to were Miss" the woman asked. Chun-li turned to her with a smile on her face. She said one word, the word that solved all of her problems. "Japan"……………………….
