Untitled Ch. 15 (Part 2)
By Kat
Chun-li opened her apartment door and stepped inside. After a refreshing shower
and a pepperoni pizza with extra cheese from Pizza Hut she laid down on her bed
and looked at the ceiling. She was tired…but she couldn't fall asleep. Her eyes
wandered around her room until they rested on the swords still clad in the
cloth. She got out of her bed and walked over to them. She carefully unwrapped
them and stood in front of her mirror.
Her bedroom was extremely big. On one of her walls she had a mirror covering
the entire wall, much like one you find at a dance studio or a place where
ballerinas practiced. She stood in front of it swords in hand staring at her
reflection. She stood there with a pair of black biker shorts on, with a black
tank top on, hair in a ponytail, swords at her side. She felt a strange energy
run through the swords and into her body. Her arms began to move with skilled
movements. She had never handled swords before, but from some one observing
her, she looked to be an expert. She swiped the sword in the air in perfect
movements, cutting the air. She added kicks to her routine and increased her
speed.
All the while she felt this power; this energy running through her body
increasing her momentum. A sheen of perspiration glistened her skin in the dim
lighting. Her movements increased in speed another notch as she continued to
slice the swords in the air, giving an occasional 'kai-ya'. Unknowing to her
the swords began to glow in her hands. But she paid no attention. She kept her
eyes on the pair of eyes staring back at her in the mirror.
Chun-li continued to do moves that she never in her life done. She even did
the occasional trick with the swords like a professional. Chun-li's eyes began
to glow, but she didn't stop. It had been 2 hours since Chun-li started this
unexplainable exercise and by now she was moving at break neck speed. Fighting
an imaginary opponent. She could still feel the energy from the swords pour
into her body like a waterfall. Then…all of a sudden… she stopped. Her eyes
went back to their original color and she became aware of everything all at
once. She was breathing very hard and heavy. Tiny droplets of sweat slid down
her face. She stared blankly at her reflection. She blinked a few times then
eased out of her stance. She stared down in awe at the swords. They had stopped
glowing ever since she came out of her trance.
Chun-li couldn't believe the moves she just performed. Although she had
never performed them before…they seemed to come naturally. She gently put the
swords down on her dresser. 'What just happened', she asked herself. 'Maybe
Sifu was right…maybe I shouldn't have messed with them tonight' she said sitting
down on her bed. With a sigh, she got under her covers and turned off her lamp.
It didn't take long before she slipped into a soundless sleep. Then…unknowing
to her…her body began to glow. A blue chi bathed her body as she slept. And on
the dresser…the swords glowed as well…………………
The next morning…………
Chun-li sat up in her bed and stretched. She had slept like a baby last
night. She didn't have any nightmares either. In fact…she didn't have a dream
last night. She yawned and slipped out of bed. She felt so re energized and so
full of energy. She opened her dresser draws to pull out a towel and some
clothes for the day. Her eyes averted to the swords that lay on top of the
dresser. 'I wonder what got into me last night. I better tell Sifu' she said to
herself as she closed the dresser. Contents in hand she went towards the
bathroom… then she stopped. She turned slowly around and faced the mirror she
was fighting in front of the night before. She gasped and dropped everything on
the floor.
She stepped closer to the mirror and touched her face. She hair…instead of
its brown color…had changed to a jet black. Her eyes instead of the warm doe
brown…were now a royal blue; unlike any eye color she had seen in her life. She
noticed she had grown an inch or two taller. Her breast had at least grown one
size. She looked down at her feet and noticed that instead of their original
size 7 in women…were now at least a size 5. She looked at her hands and saw
that she had a French manicure. She turned around a little and notice on the
small of her back was a tattoo. It was in Chinese, but she had never seen the
word before. She turned back around to look herself over again. She brought her
hands up to her eyes to wipe them to make sure she wasn't seeing things.
Nope…still there. She even pinched herself to make sure she wasn't dreaming.
She put her hand up to her mouth and gasped again.
She then turned and slipped on some clothes and her shoes. She had to see
Gen and she had to see him now! She grabbed her purse and keys and went to the
door. Before she touched the doorknob she turned. She went to the dresser and
wrapped up the swords. Then with the swords she made her way out the door.
Chun-li finally made it to the dojo for what seemed like an hour to her but
it only took 15 min. She drove like a maniac through the streets of Hong Kong.
She raced up the stairs and through the doors. She walked through the hallway
until a teenaged boy stopped her.
Yang stood in front of the tall and beautiful woman who he had never seen
before. "Can I help you miss…miss"; Yang asked trying to get a name.
"Yang it's me…Chun", she said in annoyance. "Chun-li", Yang
asked a look of confusion on his face. "Yes…where is Sifu", she asked
impatiently. Yang only gaped at her and pointed to Master Gen's office………………
