"show yourself!!!!"

"WOAH easy Ryu don't be so jumpy"

"I'm sorry for disturbing you two..."

"Li?what are you doing here?"

"Yeah chun what brings you here?"

"well Ken Ryu,I came here with Gen sifu to honor Gouken sensei's death anniversary."

"Is that so? well chun you're welcome here as is grand master Gen"

"Ken!Don't call sifu that he gets all cranky when he is reminded of his status"

"I believe it is already too late"

just then a elderly man wearing a purple chinese garment came in.

"Let's quit the formalities young ones I must speak with Ryu."

They all sat inside the shotokan dojo waiting for Gen to speak.

"Ryu... I must now tell you Gouken's wishes"

"?what do you mean master Gen?sensei's wishes?"

"Sifu,what is this about?"

"Well whatever it is let's hear it you ready pal?

"yes"

"Good now listen,Ryu,do you know why Akuma pursues you?"

"Yes I do master gen,he wants me to tap into my evil intent so that we can fight and see who is more powerful."

"Yes,correct.Gouken Knew this was going to happen"

"Sensei knew??!?but,why didn't he..."

"He had his reasons and besides he already made counter measures"

"?Counter measures what kind?"

"When you were still young,Gouken casted upon you, an ancient shotokan spell which would separate you two sides."

"?my two sides?"

"Yes,your pure side and evil side.The day The two of you will separate will be the day you reach adequate fighting ability."

"But Sifu,"

"Yes little flower?"

"We all know Ryu is a very skilled fighter,but when DID THE SEPARATION occur?"

"I think I know"

"Ken please tell us!"

"I think it happened when Ryu fought Akuma on his island when the island sunk we found no trace of Ryu until later that evening"

"I am now certain,I must depart now."

"Ryu?"

"I will be going for a while my friends I will depart to improve my skills and find my dark side"

"Ryu,I reccomend you go to the mountains first."

"?"

"I heard that a hermit lives there and they say he is shenlong one of the greatest shotokan masters I suggest you visit him first."

And so the day was done each of them hearing this prepared for the worst encounter they could imagine.
