The Quest - Book 1 Epilogue

OUTSIDE THE TEMPLE OF DOOM

Ryu opened his eyes. His vision was hazzy at first but then it adjusted. He rose and looked around him. He was in the area surrounding the temple.

Around him lay most of his friends. There were Chunli,Mariko,Mel,Dan and Ken. They slowly awoke as well.

"What happened?" Ken asked. Then a huge explosion was heard. They looked towards the temple. It started rumbling and collapsing.

Ryu was hugged fiercly by Mariko and Chunli. "Ryu your O.K. We were so worried". Ryu smiled "Yes I'm fine now that I know we are all safe.I was so worried I'm the nobody is missin.."

Ryu looked around and then at Ken "Hey Ken,Where are Cammy and Guy?" Ken held his head and sighed. Tears formed in his eyes. "I tried to save'em honest but I couldn't.. I.I'm sorry guys"

Ryu gulped "Its not your fault the odds were against us. These abomanations and traps were too much for us I must admit we are all lucky to still be alive after that place.

"What now Sensai?" Mel asked Ryu and the others arose "We need to return to find the.."

Then a poof was heard and Ryu's words were cut short.Shadowbane appeared his hands crossed. He threw a golden rod at Ryu's feet. "Take it. That is the first scepter piece. Now the quest continues onwards". He was about to open a portal.

Then Ken tackled him by surprise with a angry cry full of rage and sorrow. He hung on Shadowbane's back and tried to choke the huge vampire. "D*mn you and your stupid quest our friends are dead. And its all your fault" Ken screamed with tears in his eyes.

Shadowbane was about to shock Ken but then felt sorry for him and his lost. He sighed and threw Ken off him instead. Ken fell in his back. Shadowbane loomed above him eyes glowing in green showing his anger. Then they turned normal

"I am truly sorry for your loss, but the quest must be resumed anyway. I will forget this incident for just this once.I understand your anger and sorrow but never try such a stunt again mortal. Irrational thinking will only bring danger and peril to you."

Shadowbane opened a portal with a snap of his fingers. "The next world is a parellal dimension to yours also named earth. But its more futuristic and advanced.

That is all I can tell you except to join the MH organization if you want to help mankind in it battle in that world."

He vanished and the portal exploded in a blue flash consuming the Sf fighters before they could react like a black hole.

MEANWHILE IN DELCRATOR

Diablo was sitting in his shadowy throne. Raziel approached still Uknowing of Diablo's true identity.

"Milord the armies are ready to invade what are you orders?" Raziel said and bowed. Diablo smiled to himself in the shadows. "Keep the troops at Bay. I need more time to plan straetigies and upgrades with a new ally I've made."

Raziel nodded and left the room. Diablo grinned "Soon Raziel you and all creation will bow at the feet of my allies and myself. No one will be able to stop us"

Diablo laughed and opened a portal. Then he stepped threw it.
