The Quest: Book 1 Ch. 6

The group traveled for two days. Each day the woods got thicker and the darker. Finally the vegataion was so dense the sun was totally blocked.

Shadowbane followed them and waited for their next move. He then sensed something. He smiled and jumped on a branch.

Meanwhile

Ryu was walking silently. He turned to Derek. "How far are we?". Derek looked and Lorain. She rubbed her chin "We should be in the Avgraminion planes by now. So I'd sat two three days away.

Mariko and Mel were walking close to eachother. Then Ryu stopped them. He looked at Guy and pointed to the branches. Guy nodded He took a quick dash and lept onto a branch. Guy swept the foot of a character standing on a branch with his hand.

A surprised women shreik was heard. A blond women with blond hair and blue eyes fell off the branch. She was wearing a bluish chain mail and holding a long wooden bow.

She fell and spun in midair and landed on her feet. With lightning reflexes she armed her bow with an arrow from a quiver on her back and aimed at Guy. Ryu dashed to gain her attention and she turned and let the arrow loose. Ryu dodjed and the arrow only grazed his shoulder.

Guy quickly jumped and nailed her with a kick. Then he kicked her face and swept her feet. Before she could react Guy dashed and took her bow and he threw it to Ryu.

"Oh no not now" Derek sighed Derek unseathed his sword. "Brad readied his axe. "Then Ryu heard a string being pulled he rolled aside and an arrow hit his former location.He yelled "run" and everyone started running in various directions. A storm of arrows flew all around them by sheer luck no one was hurt.

"Then a group of about thirty men and women jumped from the trees. a half of them were armed with bows. The rest were wielding various hand to hand weapons.

"Halt in the name of the elvish kingdom of Greenharp" The woman Guy attacked said and got up. Everyone raised their hands. There were too many archers and they didn't want to gamble with their lives.

"Thats better. Why have you invaded our land humans?" She asked Ryu. Ryu remained silent. Lorain reached for her pocket and took out a golden ring with a harp inbowed on it.

She lowered her arms and showed it to the elves. They gasped and bowed "Your highness" they all said in awe.

Lorain motioned them to get up "Its O.K, good scouting job. These people are with me carry on" They all nodded and left the area. Derek was shocked "I've known you for 3 years and you didn't tell me your an elven princess"

Lorain shrugged "You never asked" Brad and Baltazar chuckled. Meanwhile Shadowbane looked at the elves and jumped off the branch. "Well then, an elven scouting party I'd hate to leave them with nothing to report.

He ran towards them and rammed into one of them. The elf slammed into a tree. Shadowbane unleashed a lightning storm on the surprised elves. Then he raised his arms and his eyes turned black.

The women Guy attacked earlier looked at him in horror. He grabbed her by the neck and smiled "Tell your ancestors I send my regards" He them sucked her and the other elves's souls.

He felt the rush of energy and licked his lips. He then continued following the group. He was reguvanated and ready.

Ryu and the others continued traveling for two days. And then they reached the end of the woods. They reached a large orange sanded beach. on the sand were various statues and then a huge temple it was at least 50 feet tall and 30 feet long.

Guile streched his arms. "O.K lets go" He started walking towards the temple the others right behind him.
