The Quest - Book 1 Ch. 34

Ryu was following the trail of blood. Then he saw it ended at a puddle of blood. Ryu was frantic with concern. He saw no more blood.

"The captor either destroyed the body or tended the wounds.God please let it be the second option" Ryu prayed.

He had no choice and continued threw the corridors. Meanwhile across he temple Ken was thinking much similar thoughts.

"D*mn, where are you guys" Ken cursed. He stopped to rest. He then noticed a trail of water drops. "I've hit Jackpot I'll follow the trail and find them"

He continued following the trail. Then he reached a junction. The trail split down the three corridors. He closed his eyes.

"Ryu always does this, Maybe I can too" Ken thought. He calmed himself trying to sense their Chi.After several minutes He sensed a weak force to the left and went threw the corridor.

FOUR HOURS LATER

Ryu reached a large door. It had four symbols on it. a blue wave, a red flame, a brown rock and a white tornado. "This is it I hope the others are O.K" Ryu thought as he pushed the door open.

Meanwhile Ken reached a similar door. He prayed his friends would be behind the door. He pushed it open.

Both Ken and Ryu opened the doors at the same time. They saw eachother and ran to talk.

"Ken thank god you're alright.Where are the others?" Ryu asked. "I could ask you the same question Buddy" Ken said.

Then a booming laughter was heard. "I'm so glad you could make it. Now hand over the keys and maybe you'll leave this place alive"

A voice said. "Show yourself you coward" Ryu shouted. "Yah are ya afraid to show your ugly mug" Ken said.

A figure stepped out of the shadows. It was 6'10 with a muscular build. It had black hair and white eyes. It word a mask over its mouth and nose with a white rune on it.

"Foolish mortals I am Raziel. The soul reaver. avenger of souls and destroyer of humans." He said and summoned his Wraith reaver that glowed in blue energy.

"We don't care you monster. Where are our friends?" Ken said.

Raziel raised a brow "What are you talking about I don't know or care of your little friends"

Ryu entered stance "Tell us you fiend .." Ryu said

Raziel laughed "Or what? you'll destroy me. I must say I'm amused. Very well I haven't killed a human for three days"

He unsummoned the reaver and lunged forward in godlike speed.

Ryu and Ken both sidestepped and kicked Raziel's back similtaniously. He rolled on the ground and rose to his feet.

He kicked at Ryu. Ryu blocked and caught his arm. Ryu threw him over his shoulder. Ken intercepted him with a flaming Shoryuken. Raziel clenched his teeth and rose to his feet once more."Your better than I thought I'll just have to take this to the next level"

Raziel raised his hands. A sharp peircing sound emited from his mind. Both warriors fell to their knee clapsing their ears.

Raziel dashed forward and kicked both of them. Then he used his telekenetic powers to pick up a spear from a nearby skeleton.

He threw it at Ken. Ryu tackled Ken and saved him from being impaled. Raziel lunged again. Ryu jumped and spun into a hurricane kick. Raziel shook his head but was nailed by an Hadouken from Ken.

He hit the wall with a loud thud. His eyes glowed with yellow energy he clapped his hands and bright yellow light filled the room.

The power blinded both fighters and the magic knocked them uncontious. "Foolish little mortals. Without magic you stand no chance"

Raziel dusted himself and summoned his wraith reaver. "Well a human soul is better then noting" Raziel said

He raised his sword but when he was about to hit he was hit by a great force and flung into the wall.

He crashed into it and rose to his feet slowly. He turned to his agressor. He looked into his green eyes and Raziel felt great fear.
