Ryu and the others woke up and were sitting in the inn eating breakfest. "So When do we head towards the catacombs?" Ryu asked. Ken whistled "Hold your horses buddy you ain't going anywhere like that"

Derek nodded "Traveling like that will only indanger you.We'll take care of things trust us" Ryu looked at Chunli she nodded then at Mariko and she nodded as well.

"We've been thinking about this since we left that horrible temple. You have to rest o.k?"Chunli said in a pleading tone. Ryu nodded "As you wish I shall remain here and await your return." His face and tone reveiled his dissatisfaction in the situation.

He then went back to the room once they left. He sat in lotus form and meditated. Shadowbane was watching from afar.

"They're leaving Ryu behind. I shall have to stay twice as alert now." He followed them.

MEANWHIILE IN A UNDERGROUND CAVERN

The four evil wizards were sitting in a circle. They drew a circle and in it a skull. The symbol glowed in green.

"Kain we summon thou spirit guide us" a green figure appeared in the circle its appearance was hidden by the glowing green energy"

"What do you want now" Kain asked. The warlock spoke "The chosen are approaching the catacombs.We've summoned you to report and recieve orders"

The green figure laughed "Well done. Soon I shall come to take care of them myself but in the meantime I'm sending a subject of mine to guard the air temple's stone."

The figure vanished. Instead appeared a purple portal. A 6'5 woman stepped out. She had long black hair and sea blue eyes. She was wearing a black leather armor with a white skull symbol on it.

"I am Lara. one of kain's second in command do not worry I'll take care of the chosen or at least hinder there progress"

She smiled her four fangs shining in pearly white. She raised her arms and teleported. The four wizards sat down "And now to discuss are strateagic matters..."

MEANWHILE

The crew was walking threw a meddow of short yellow grass. a purple portal appeared before them. They all stopped. "That looks like one of Shadowbane's portals." Mariko said.

Shadowbane looked at it and raised his brows "Was Tural speaking the truth?Can Kain still be alive?" he wondered.

A large group of creatures jumped out of the portal. They were all red-skinned wearing leather armor and were similar to orcs. But they were as big as trolls. Plus their eyes glew in a demonic yellow.

They entered martial arts stance. The street fighters did the same. the other group got ready.

The orcs approached. Shadowbane looked surprised "A mixture of orc and troll that seems to have fighting experiance I wonder who sent them"

MEANWHILE BACK AT THE CITY

Ryu was sitting in his room. After five hours of meditation he decided to go take a walk. He left the inn. He noticed it was empty. He walked out to the street and saw it empty as well.

"What is going on?" Ryu thought. Ryu then sensed an evil power. He looked around him and saw about ten huge red skinned orcish beasts. They were just like the one's The other group was facing.

Ryu wasn't in his prime but he knew he had to protect himself. He tried to enter stance but his arm was strapped. He tore the strap off.Then he entered stance. Luckily the meditation had eased his pain and allowed him to use his arm once again.

Ryu stood ready as they surrounded him slowly approaching.
