The Quest: Book 1 Ch. 1

Ryu opened his eyes and looked at his surroundings. He was amazed he was standing in the middle of a huge forest. Its trees were at least 25 feet each.

"How did I get here all I remember is a blue flash" Ryu thought to himself then he whispered "D*mn you Shadowbane"

Ryu then looked at himself and raised a brow. He was clad in a white leather armor and pants. He had a black belt with a sword strapped to it. He had a pack on his back and black leather boots. His trademark red bandana was the only thing he recognized on his attire.

The others where still uncontious. They too were all in leather armors but each in his color and different style looking similar to what they wore as fighting attire.

Ryu heard groans from his friends directions. They woke up one by one and were just as surprised as he was.

"What the h*ll? How'd we get here?" Ken asked. They all got up.Ryu shrugged and spoke quietly "I'm guessing Shadowbane's behind this"

Ken touched his ribs and shouted "Hey, my wounds are gone" Ken said in surprise The others checked so were theirs.

Then they got up and saw a scroll on the ground beside it a medium sized bag. and beside it a small leather backpack.

Ryu picked the letter up. Everyone gathered around him. He read the letter out loud.

"Dear Street fighter

As you've noticed your not on earth anymore. This land is called Kellith. This medival land is full of monsters and races you only imagined of.

Now on to your mission. You shall search on every world for a piece of the golden scepter of power. I made it so when the pieces combine you shall be able to return to your native dimension and planet.

If you succeed your free. But If you fail your either stuck or dead and Bison and Akuma will be glad to take the earth in your absence.

Every time you find a piece I'll open the next portal.

Good luck (You'll need it)"

Ryu folded the note and put it in the backpack. "This might come in handy later. Now lets go Who knows how long we've been here"

Everyone started to leave then Ryu raised his hand and stopped them."Did you hear that?" Ryu whispered. Everyone shook their heads.

"Spread out and be ready I sense we're going to have some company." Ryu said and entered stance.

MEANWHILE 350 METERS AWAY

"Are you sure you saw humans?" A figure asked another . "Yes Warchief A group of nine humans to the west" The figures were all bulky, green skinned and butt-ugly. Their hair was thick black and they wore studded leather armor with a single spiked shoulder pad and a horned helmet.

"Well then,lets go and bring supper" The one they called Warchief said. A large group of the creatures nodded.They marched towards the Sf group.

ACROSS THE FOREST A FEW MILES AWAY

Four figures were walking in the woods "Are you sure that Orc Warcheif is in the area Derek?" a tall blond women with pointed ears in a green garment asked.She was holding a long wodden bow in her hands and had a arrow quiver strapped to her back

"Yes I'm sure Lorain ,It's right here in our contract" A Tall man in plate mail said. His mail was bluish white.His eyes were blue and he had short black hair. He had a two handed sword strapped to his back.

"We must take head. A direct assault might be dangerous" Another man said. He was a tall thin man in his 60's. He was wearing a long red robe and had a pouch tied to his side .His hair was white and he had a long smooth white beard. he was walking with a long wodden staff.

"You worry too much Baltazar, We've been threw worse" The man named Derek said in a deep tone.

Another man beside them growled "Yes ,We take them easily" He was wearing only a furred loin cloth tied to a brown belt and leather boots His hair was long and red and tied by a black headband and his eyes green. He then put a Double edged battle axe on his shoulder as If it weighed a mere pound.

"If you say so Derek. I'll trust you and Brad on this one" The older man said.

They continued walking in The Sf group's direction.

BACK AT THE FOREST CLEARING

Ryu stood in stance and then suddenly lunged and tackled Chunli. They fell to the ground. "Ryu what are you doing?" She asked in surprise Ryu pointed to a tree above them. An arrow was stuck in it.He screamed "Hit the ground" The group complied and dozens of arrows flew in their direction and missed them.

Then a scream was heard It was a Growl in an animalistic tone. And a large group of green skinned warriors lept out of the bushes.

Ryu got up and helped Chunli rise as well "Be careful we nothing of them or their fighting ways" Ryu warned and the others nodded

They were all dressed in a studded leather armor with a spiked shoulder pad and a horned helmet except one that had two shoulder pads and a black cloak. He pointed at then and screamed again the same growl.

The other green fighters took out swords and axes and other various weapons and approached the group.

Two of the warriors lunged at Ken. Ken rolled to the left avoiding their wild sword swings. He then kicked one in the chest. The other tried to hit him from behind.

Ken barely dodjed the swing.The monsters sword was stuck in a tree.Ken took advantage and ducked and lept into a high Shoryuken. The Monster growled in pain fell on its back uncontious after slamming into a tree.

The leader and another two faced Ryu. Ryu stood in stance the leader swung his sword. Ryu sidestepped and jumped over a swing from one the other monsters. When he descended he spun into a hurricane kick and nailed the three.

They backed away and the two regular monsters lunged at Ryu attempting to tackle him. Ryu jumped high and they crashed into eachother in a heap.

Ryu heard a swishing sound and ducked at the final moment as a sword was swung over his head.

Ryu got up quickly punched the leader and kicked his abdomen and chest He palm striked his chin and uppercutted him.Then he grabbed him by the arm and threw him over his shoulder and into the two monsters that were rising and holding their heads and groaning with extreme strength and velocity.

Meanwhile Guy was attacking a monster with various kicks and punches. The latter was helpless. to defend. Then another one grabbed guy from behind.

Guy headbutted him backwards. stompted his foot. And spun into his version of the hurricane kick. Then he elbowed the monsters stomach and roundhoused him viciously.

Mariko and Mel were fending off two monsters. Mel punched one in the chest and abdomen kicked his face and then nailed him with a low shoryuken. He was suddenly hit from behind by a large boot.

Mel was about to stompted when the monster above him was hurled away. He looked up and saw Mariko standing in stance. He got up and said "Thanks" She nodded and jumped at the monster and kicked his chin then she kicked his groin.When the monster bended Mariko nailed him with her knee.

The two went to help Guile take care of another three monsters

Guile was fending three of them alone. He was doing well punching and kicking them until one of them nailed him with a double handed hammerblow to the back.

The others started approaching they kicked and punched the fallen Guile not letting him get to his feet. Then Mariko and mel kicked two from behind. In the confusion Guile was able to rise to his feet he nailed one of them with a Flash kick. Mel and Mariko helped him dispose of the other two

Cammy and Chunli were attacked by ten monsters. Their speed enabled them to easily avoid their bulky swings. Chunli took out one with her lightning kicks and Cammy one with her cannon drill.Another two were nailed by kicks and punches by the two women.

But then four grabbed them each by one hand.

Why aren't you two pretty Lets have some fun shall we" One of the monsters spoke in English. His accent was heavy with growls and he raised his Brows.

Chunli and Cammy fought to get free but their grip was too strong

Ryu saw this and rushed to their aid. He jumped high and kicked the one that spoke in the jaw.The monster was pushed back. Then one of Chunli's holders let her go and jumped at Ryu. One of Cammy's did the same. Chunli and Cammy easily broke free from the single monster.

Chunli kicked his abdomen and nailed him with a spinning bird kick. Cammy kicked one in the face then she grabbed his head with her feet and slammed his face in the ground. The monster's nose was broken.

Ryu was surrounded by three monsters that were waiting to smash him to pieces. Ryu channeled his Chi and lept into the air. He executed a Shinkuu Tatsumakisimpuukayku and cleared all of them.

The three were able to knock out the monsters quite easily and went to join the rest of the group.

The monsters were sprawled on the ground uncontious. Then the group gathered around. They heard another sound in the bush and entered stance.

"Hey wait a minute we mean no harm" a deep voice said. A heavily plated man said and exited the bush. He looked around and whistled. "Well I must say I'm impressed"

Then he looked closer "Wait a minute their still alive" He raised a sword and planned to kill one. Ryu came closer and stopped him "Don't" he said simply. The man raised a brow

"These filthy orcs are wanted for murder." He said. "If thats the case let the court decide what to do" Ryu said. Laughs were heard from the bushes.

A blond women and a tall extremly bulked Man came out of the bushes. "Court? Where are you from people. There aren't any courts in Kellith" The blond women said between laughs "Don't you know the court law was erased after the necromancer war."

Ryu seemed confused "It doesn't matter I refuse to let you murder any creature that is helpless"

Another man came out of the bushes he was older than the rest "You spare them even when they attacked you, Why?" Ryu crossed his arms "It is not the way of the warrior to murder a helpless foe no matter how evil he is."

The wizard rubbed his chin "Interesting you seem to fight by the laws of ancient combat. Anyway my name is Baltazar."

He pointed at the women "This is Lorain" she nodded He pointed at the knight "Thats Derek" and the final one shouted out "And I Brad the Mighty undeafeted warrior of the west"

The three sighed and shook their heads. Derek continued "I'll tell you what. You come with us we'll take the warchief to our employer and he'll decide O.K?"

Ryu looked at the SF crew and they all nodded "Very well we shall accompany you" Ryu said quietly.

The group along with the Street fighters went in the direction from which the group came.

Meanwhile on a tree branch a hundred meters away Shadowbane was standing and grinning "It starts" he said and laughed then he jumped off the banch and followed them from a safe distance.
