The Quest - Ryu's Journey Ch. 8 - Chun Li

"Do you know who Professor Charles Xavier is?"

Chun-Li: "Everyone knows who Professor X is."

Ryu: "Even me..."

"Good. Then you know what we're up against."

Ryu and Chun-Li's eyes bulged out of their heads.

"Professor Xavier recently used his psychic psychic powers to purify the mind of Magneto. Unfortunately, a part of Magneto's conscousness became stuck in Xavier's mind when he did so. It has begun to take over his mind like a virus to a computer. By the time you reach him, it will have corrupted his entire mind. He will have become Onslaught."

Chun-Li: "The prophecy!"

The mysterious warrior nodded.

"The ancient evil shall give rise to a greater evil. One born of corruption..."

Ryu: "The dragon must fight the evil With beauty at his side Or all is lost..."

The mysterious warrior nodded again.

"The greater evil is Onslaught. We must stop him, but we cannot do it alone. We will need help to defeat him. You two will head towards Professor Xavier's mansion. I will go find help, and meet you there with reinforcements."

Chun-Li: "Fine. I can get us there easily enough. How will you find us?"

The mysterious warrior's gaze pierced into her.

"I'll know..."

Ryu: "Are you sure you know which plane to get on?"

Chun-Li: "Of course I do. Don't you trust me?"

Chun-Li smiled over her shoulder at him, and he turned a little red.

Ryu: "Well... yeah, I guess so..."

Chun-Li: "Good, follow me."

Ryu grabbed his duffel bag and hurried behind Chun-Li.

Ryu: That woman!

Ryu silently chuckled as he hurried along.

Chun-Li glanced over at Ryu, sitting next to her in the window seat. His eyes were closed, and he was trying to get some sleep, since it was a very long flight.

She couldn't help staring at his handsomely chiseled face, and sighing audibly.

Chun-Li: He is so HOT! And he doesn't even snore! Chun-Li, if you let this one get away, you'll never forgive yourself, and you know it.

She sighed again and turned over, deciding to try and get some sleep herself.

Ryu opened his eyes and moved his head to face her. He simply stared at her for a long moment as a million thoughts rampaged through his head.

Ryu: I am so lucky...

Ryu gently fell back to sleep, his last thoughts being of Chun-Li as his eyes closed.

Chun-Li opened the hotel door and stepped into the room they had rented, closing it firmly behind Ryu, and locking it shut.

Ryu sat his duffel bag down by the bed and looked around, surveying their accomodations with appreciative eyes.

Ryu: "This place is great..."

Chun-Li looked around the room.

Chun-Li: "It's okay enough. The bed's a bit too small for my tastes though..."

Ryu slowly came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist, kissing the back of her neck.

Ryu: "It may be too small for you, but it's perfect for us..."

Ryu pulled her a little tighter against him and kissed the back of her neck again. Chun-Li shuddered in a mixture of pleasure and surprise.

Chun-Li: "Your lips are cold..."

Ryu eased the pressure of his arm around her, alloing her to turn around to face him. Bending down, he met her lips with his in a long, slow kiss.

Chun-Li let out a slight moan as she wrapped her arms about his neck and back to slowly pull him against her. She felt his other arm wrap around her back, and she moaned again.

Ryu pulled back and stared into her eyes. They were lit from within, and he could see the look of fire in them. He knew she was seeing the same look in his eyes, because he could almost feel the flames running through his body. It took all his strength to keep from losing control, and he gently released her, experiencing a feeling of extreme loss as his hands left her body.

Both of them were breathing heavily by this time, and Ryu had to force himself to keep from pushing her onto the bed and pouncing on her. He drew a deep breath and forced himself under control.

Ryu: "I need a cold shower."

Chun-Li nodded agreement.

Chun-Li: "You go first."

Ryu: "Okay."

Grabbing a towel, Ryu headed into the bathroom and closed the door. Chun-Li lay on the bed, looking up at the ceiling as she heard the water turn on.

Chun-Li: My GOD!! What am I going to do? There is no way I'm going to be able to stop myself next time, so how do keep control?

Chun-Li suddenly sat up, staring at the bathroom door.

Chun-Li: Should I?

She sat there for the longest time, just staring at the door. Finally, grabbing a towel of her own, she entered the restoom, locking the door behind her.

Ryu whistled, looking up in wonder at the mansion before him.

Ryu: "Professor X owns THIS!?"

Chun-Li: "He must, this is the right address..."

Ryu: "Well, I guess this is as good a place as any to get started..."

Ryu reached forward to turn the doornob, when the house exploded. Ryu and Chun-Li were thrown back by the force of the explosion. Landing with a thump, they quickly reained their feet and turned to face whatever force had created such havoc.

It was HIM! Onslaught! He hovered, his feet just above the ground, encased in red armor. The armor had to be three times his body size, and Ryu could sense Professor Xavier at the very center of it.

Chun-Li: "The Professor?"

Ryu: "He's alive. He's encased in that armor at the very center of it. His mind has been completely taken over, but I can sense that his soul is as of yet untouched. He's in there somewhere, but I can't think of any way to get to him...

Chun-Li: "Then, if we can't go around the armor, we'll have to go through it..."

Chun-Li's blue battle aur flashed into existence, and Ryu's white bttle aur followed suite.

Focusing their ki as tightly as possible, they charged the monster...
