"* Man, I hate this darn prison food*", Cody grumbled. The burly cook served him a breakfast of cold cereal, bad milk, and a ham sandwich. "Ugh", Cody said looking at his plate, " Don't you guys serve anything better than this crud?"

"Yeah", the cook said, "On Tuesday we'll have filet mignon with a little bit of caviar." The cook laughed. Cody grumbled, but soon the guard (none other than Eddy E.) led him away. "Move it Cody. You're holding up the line!"

"Awwww, shaddup!", came Cody's reply. The other inmates all woo-ed. Not wanting to look embarrassed, Eddy E. reached over, and dragged Cody back to his cell. "*Oh man, this ain't gonna' be good*", Cody thought to himself. Eddy E. tossed him against the bars of the jail cell. "Now listen here", Eddy began, "You ever insult me in front of those inmates again Cody, I'll bust your head in. Understand?" Cody held one of his banged-up ribs. "Yeah...I gotcha'."

"Good." Eddy E. opened the jail cell, and tossed Cody in. "You can stay in there and think about what you've done." Eddy said laughing as he closed the cell door.

"D*mmit." Cody said out loud. He heard other voices cursing him and telling him to keep it down. He promptly told them to shut up. He wasn't here to make friends, anyway. He remembered how he wound up in prison anyway. It hit him like a light. After he, Guy, and Mike Haggar trounced Mad Gear again about three yers back, they all went their separate ways. Cody had heard Guy was now fighting in the Street Fighter tournaments. Haggar had finally settled down with his daughter Jessica, and brought a new surburbian home outside of Metro City. And he...kept on fighting. Day after day, night after night. He wasn't doing it to improve his skills like, say, Ryu, Cody was only doing it for a mere thrill. Guy had warned him many times that unofficialized bouts were illegal, and could land him in jail, but he refused to listen. That was one of the reasons that they broke off their friendship. Cody one day fought some man by the name, no, he never did get his name did he? It didn't matter. He fought this man, who definitely wasn't a great fighter, and accidentally broke his neck, paralyzing him. And who else but Eddy E. showed up to jail Cody on various counts: assualt, resisting arrest, using a weapon with intent to kill (Cody had a knife on his person), weapons charges, etc. So now he's here. In prison. But an idea that shifted through his mind once or twice came back: "*What if I can BREAK out?*"
