Shin-Dan Ch.7 Mutiny!

(In Thailand)

Sagat woke up to a searing pain all in his body. He screamed out, not because of the pain, not because of defeat, but because of who beat him. " Dan", Sagat muttered, getting up to his feet slowly. He winced a little. His left foot was broken, but knowing himself, it'd probably heal in two weeks. " DAN." Sagat couldn't live with himself. He promised revenge to Ryu, and STILL hadn't carried it out. Now Dan??? He would've rather died than to face the embarrasment of having to live with the fact Dan Hibiki of all people, defeated him. It was then, that Sagat screamed out, a long roar to the heavens... the scream of the honorless...

Dan finally awakened, after seemingly days of sleep. He rubbed his eyes. The last thing he remembered was killing Sagat. He smiled at the thought of doing the deed. " I killed Sagat. I...Dan Hibiki, killed Sagat..." He got to his feet, and was shocked. He was back in Akuma's cave! " How..." Dan wandered around, searching for Akuma. He walked to the mouth of the cave, peering over. Dan suddenly felt two hands grab roughly on his shoulders! " Dan!"

" Whoa! Akuma! You nearly got me killed!" Akuma looked at Dan. He then calmly said " That's exactly what I'm going to do."

Dan was terrified. He didn't know why Akuma was threatening to kill him. " What... what do you mean?"

" I mean you FAILED to disperse of Sagat!!! I TOLD YOU what'd happen if you didn't kill him..."

Dan was amazed. He DID kill Sagat...didn't he???

Dan was now defensive. " Akuma! Sensei, please. Think rashionally. You can't kill me! I've got so much more to learn from you!"

" That... isn't true." Akuma said quietly. " I thought you could be my sucessor, Dan. I thought if I could teach you, you could uphold the tradition... " Dan was getting tired of Akuma's ramblings. He wanted to know BADLY about this tradition.

" What tradition? Akuma, TELL ME!"

" You do NOT need to know..."

" I WANT AN ANSWER, DAMMIT!" Dan pushed Akuma away from him, instantly getting a reaction from Akuma. "

NEVER...touch...ME...again. Understood?"

" Yes." Akuma paced around Dan, prompting Dan to eye him. Akuma snapped his fingers, obviously struck with an idea. " Alright, Dan. I'm willing to give you another chance." Dan breathed a sigh of part-relief. But Akuma wasn't finished. " IF you can kill me..."

" K-k-kill you? WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?" Akuma harrumphed in disgust. " I want YOU to kill me with the Shun Goku Satsu. It's the only way I'll let you live. If you can do it, I'll be gone, and you can do whatever you want. If you can't, well you know what happens then..." Dan's head was spinning with crazy thoughts. Should I do it? Can I trust Akuma? Akuma was reading this all in his mind and a smile slowly began to form on his evil-contorted face. Dan was reeling. He didn't know if he wanted to go through with it. " Akuma...I..." WAIT! an idea! It hit Dan like a ton of bricks. " AKUMA! I shouldn't try to kill you! YOU should try to KILL ME!"

" WHAT!?!" Dan was sure he'd get Akuma riled up. So he said what he knew would blow Akuma's top.

" You are weaker than me, Akuma..."

" WHAT!"

"... You heard me! I'm stronger than you, and you know it!"

" THOSE ARE LAST WORDS YOU'LL EVER MOUTH AGAIN, HIBIKI! PREPARE TO DIE!" Akuma slid fast to Dan. Dan was enraged with Akuma. He was enraged with the whole world. " Yeah, gimme' what I want baby!" Dan said crazily. He suddenly began to slide foward as well! Dan and Akuma were both sliding towards each other, both with their minds focused on the task at hand.... but Dan seemingly was moving faster than Akuma! Akuma looked surprised, but quickly smiled. Dan was nearly there, a mere two feet away. He had an idea. " Gotta time this right!" He thought. WHOOSH! Akuma warped right through Dan, and Dan did the same! " What the..." Akuma said, looking for once in his life, genuinely amazed. " I READ YOUR MIND!" Dan said maniacally. Dan, with renewed force, shot foward, faster than he ever had, and actually caught Akuma in his hands! Akuma had no time to react! " This wont hurt one bit..." Dan said soothingly. Akuma struggled, nearly getting out of Dan's grasp, but Dan wouldn't have it. He began to slide toward the back of the cave." You fool! You think you can kill me by slamming me into the cave walls? YOU'RE MISTAKEN!"

" There's only one way to find out..." Dan used the last of his strength to surge foward even faster. He crashed Akuma into the wall. They both tumbled out the back of the cave, and into the surging waters below...
