Shin-Dan Ch.2 (Part 1)- The Voice

"It's been almost a week since I heard the voice, Ken. It's real mysterious, I tell ya'", Dan said to Ken over the phone. Ken didn't believe him at all. " Say, uh, Dan?"

" Yeah?"

" Did you drink any scotch over the past couple of days?" Dan obviously realized Ken wasn't trying to hear the story, so he just hung up. " Stupid Ken", he muttered. He got up and walked into the kitchen. Then suddenly he got a headache. The mysterious voice came back!

" DAN!", the voice said, " Have you considered my offer?" Dan could telepathically speak back to the voice, so he said out loud, " No, I haven't! Regardless of what I said that day, I don't want to hurt them. They're my friends."

" They're definately NOT, your friends. Can you trust them?"

" Yeah..."

" Do you know if they'll always be around for you?"

" Ye..no, I don't know..." The voice continued. " Do friends desert you, make fun of you, and ridicule you? most of all, do friends steal their friends only love..." Dan was aghast. How could this voice know about that? The voice intercepted the thought. I know so much about you, Dan Hibiki. You'd be surprised..." But.....how? dan thought. " You do not need to know how. There is something else you need to do that needs my services. You want to kill Sagat, am I correct?" Dan uttered a low " Yes."

" You've never defeated him in battle, correct?"

" Yes."

" I can give you the power to destroy Sagat..." The voice paused, and Dan's headache dissapeared. The voice slowly revealed itself in a haze. Dan couldn't make out who it was. " Come with me, Dan. There is much to do. All you have to do is trust me..." Should I do it? Dan pondered. He thought again. Then a quick thought screamed into his head. Wait a minute, I know that voice...it's M.Bison!!! He turned, and ran for the front door. The hazy shadow the mysterious voice created moved quickly to surround Dan. " Hey! get the HELL off me! oopH! help me!" Dan struggled, while wondering how a foggy haze could be so strong. the haze moved quickly, and soon vanished, leaving without Dan.

He got up, and dusted off his patented pink gi. " I know where to go now..." Dan said, opening the door.

In another part of town at the city park, Ken and Guy are waiting for two people. " Man", Guy said drinking a cola, " Where ARE these two? They said they were going to be here almost thirty minutes ago, and now..." Ken heard running. He averted his eyes to see people crowding to the far end of the park. Something was going on! " Hey Guy, look. Something big's happening. Wonder if it's a Street Fight..." Guy got up along with Ken to see what the hubbub was about. They saw Chun-Li and Ryu fighting another person. WHO it was they couldn't believe. " Akuma!" Guy and Ken said simultaneously.

Sure enough, Akuma was battling both Ryu and Chun-Li at the same time. " Get BACK!" Ken yelled at the crowd, realizing that Akuma is an extremly strong fighter. One Hadoken from Akuma could kill a person who isn't prepared for it, Ken thought. Guy was helping Ken move the already-enourmous crowd to a safe distance. Akuma soared high into the air and executed his air fireball. Ryu parried it with a Hadoken which nullified each other. Akuma forgot about Chun-Li, though. She quickly rolled behind him, and while was still coming back to earth, she was lifting. HAZAN....TENSHO-KYAKU!!!!" She hit akuma with a multiple-hit spinning air kick! Unfortunately, Akuma only sustained minor damage. He teleported in mid-air then reappeared right behind Chun-Li. " Noo!" Ryu was expecting Akuma to initiated his Shungokusatsu murder, but no. Akuma with a " HMPH!" knocked Chun-Li into air with a Go-Shoryuken. Ryu snuck up behind and quickly energized his most lethal move. " SHINKUU-HADOKEN!!!" Akuma was aware of the danger and backflipped. He then, even faster than Ryu did, charged his own super move. " Messatsu-go...SHORYU!!" Akuma whirled at Ryu. Ryu tried to jump away from the attack, but it's vacuum effect and quickness is unsurpassed. He felt himself knocked twice into air for at least six hits. Ken turned around and saw that his two friends were in serious trouble. " Hey Akuma! come take me on!"

" Why?" Akuma said, bored with Ken's gung-ho attitude. " Why not? You scared?" Ken said taunting Akuma. Akuma always swore death to whomever taunted him while fighter, no matter who it was. He was enraged, and his eyes flashed a glowing red . " NEVER! " , Akuma said, stomping the ground. Just at that moment, Dan came into the park, not aware of what was going on. Akuma eyed him, and his eyes glowed. " Ah! HERE you are..." He slid towards Dan quickly. He was going to use the Instant Hell Murder on Dan! Nobody had time to try and stop Akuma, all Ken could manage was " Dan, look out!"

" Huh?" Dan never saw it coming... The searing pain, the intensity, the impact... Dan screamed only once, almost of sheer terror. When the blinding light came, all of the four fighters had to shield their eyes... When they looked again, Dan was gone, and so was Akuma...
