Morrigan continued the final wrap-up of her flashback tale...

Many years had passed on our journeys,we ran into and fought many of Dimitri's vamp-spawned creations,taking them down one by one,but we still had yet to find the vampire king and his son.

But finally,one night in the summer of 69 in the city of Paris,we had gotten a tip-off of a rumor that there was a strange cult of vampires preparing to lay seige to something tonight.

We naturally investigated and found the location to be in the slums of the city,and the building they were in was an abandoned factory building.

The pair of us carefully sneaked inside and took the upstairs that led to an old platform ridge where we could see what was going on.

When we entered atop and looked to see what was going on,we found a horrific and of course typical sight of what I had expected to come from one such as Dimitri Maximov.

Below was a strange cult following of dark hooded figured standing out what appeared to be two dozens.

And standing on a podium platform with a few other things set behind was--Dimitri himself.

Seated behind was a pair of coffins,a cauldron of blood red liquid,another hooded figure stood behind and stretched out an X shaped post was a young man with long black hair and his body was tied to the ends of the post,he was barely concscious.

"Hey...where am I..?"he said half-druken in slurred out french.

"My followers..."said Dimitri very boldly. "I am proud that you have gathered here for just such a night.
I have worked and gathered this cult for many long years since WW2 ended. The days of the Darkstalkers have been long gone..but tonight,one Darkstalker shall amass a great ressurection of his own kind before this night is through."

His followers cheered to his words.

Dimitri then reached into his pocket and took out the blood ruby.

"With this,"he said. "we shall transform the populcae of earth into a haven for Vampire Darkstalkers everywhere! And tonight,we shall start with the country of France,tonight..the legacy of Maximov begins!"

"HAIL DIMITRI,HAIL DIMITRI,HAIL DIMITRI!" shouted his followers.

"And,not only shall I Dimitri Maximov be your ruler,but my son,the prince of vampires,shall rule at my side for eternity. My followers,I present to you,Den Maximov!"

The stranger in the hood and robe removed his hood to reveal what appeared to be--a younger version of Dimitri.
He had spiked upward hair like Dimitri,pale flesh skin but had different colored eyes,they were the eyes--of his mother Morrigan.

Morrigan gasped at the sight of what she had saw,she couldn't believe it,the young infant she saw in Germany was rapidly approaching adulthood. She now knew that the menace of Dimitri had to be destroyed,spawn and all.

"HAIL DEN,HAIL DEN,HAIL DEN!" they all shouted.
"The time shall also come when I pass the sceptre of power to him in turn."said Dimitri.
"But before this device can actually work,"he said. "it requires the blood core of an innocent."

Dimitri went over to the kidnapped frenchman that was tied to an x post.
"Wha--what you do..?"he said.

"It's better that you not know,monsieur."said Dimitri. "Needless to say,this shall be over in a wink."

Dimitri then placed his hand over the man's chest and began to apply the necessary force to it.

"Oh my gosh,is he really doing what I think he is?"said Guineverre.
"He is."said Morrigan. "I've seen him do this sort of thing before."

"Aahh...ahhhh!"replied the man as a pain of pressure came over his chest.

Dimitri then dug his hand deep into the man's chest,ripping the flesh and muscle open and apart.

"AAAAAAAAHHH!"
screamed the man as his insides were ripped open.

Dimitri then snatched the heart and simply removed the heart from where it sat.

He then raised the heart into the air,everyone bowed before his evil power.
"He has the power to remove a human heart without damaging it.
 

"SACRE,BLUI!"screamed the man. "WHAT YOU DO TO ME?"
"SILENCE,CUR!"said Dimitri. "OR YOU SHALL DIE INSTANTLY!"

"With this."he began."I shall empower the blood serum within this cauldron to power up the blood stone,and with it,the spell shall begin!"

Dimitri then plopped the human organ in the stew of blood.
He then turned to the man at the post,snapped his fingers,and the man passed away where he was tied.

Dimitri chuckled.
"Be grateful I allowed you to die,peacefully."he said.

The blood serum stew then began to glow with an eerie power,it was ready to accept the sapphire which lay within Dimitri's hand.

"I think we've heard enough,don't you think?'said Morrigan.
"Agreed."said Guineverre.

The pair of Darkstalker hunters stood upon the railing,ready to pounce.

"DIMITRI MAXIMOV!"shouted Morrigan. "YOU'RE TIME IS FAST APPROACHING!"

"What..?"said Dimitri looking up towards the ceiling.
There stood Morrigan and someone familarly dressed.

"We have at last found you,vampire!"said Baine as she aimed her sword at him.

"We shall see to it that you're insane plan of making this world into vampires never ereaches fruition!"said Morrigan. "YOU DIE TONIGHT!"

The pair of warrior women then flew downward to the stand where Dimitri and his son stood.

Morrigan unsheathed a silver broadsword from the belt she wore,she was determined to cut up Dimitri into some bloody pieces!

"The both of you shall not see this night or that ridiculous through!"said Baine. "NOT NOW,NOT EVER!"

"Oh,and do you think a pair of hunters shall stop me--or my son?"said Dimitri. "I think not!"
"HAHA,your courage does not even phase my father!"said the young Den. "You are both as good as dead!"

"My follwers!"said Dimitri. "SIEZE THEM!"

The hooded figures lowerd their hoods,revealling a legion of brain dead vampire zombies.
"KIIILL--BLOOD!"they all shouted.

"I'll take the---'family',you take out those zombies."said Morrigan.
"A crude order,but i'll take what I can get."said Guineverre.

The hunter aimed her sword at the horde and conducted an attack spell.
"FLAME SWORD!"

A giant god being of some sort appeared behind her,it was large,had a red beard and orange skin and was armed with a flame sword.

The giant aimed it's sword and a giant blast of flames erupted from it.

"FWOOSH!"

The first wave of vamps were enveloped in flames,turned into a pile of ash within seconds.'

"I don't believe it!"said Dimitri amazed. "She posesses the same powers and weapons of the accursed Donovan himself!"
"She is his sole descedant."said Morrigan. "But if I was you,i'd be worried about myself!"

Morrigan drew her sword at the vampire king.

"You really think that you will destroy me with that--toy?"he said.

"Silver is one of the elements that will destroy your kind!"I said as I confronted him. "You shall die,or I shall die trying!"

Dimitri chuckled wickedly.
"We shall see."he said.

The vampire lord threw his hands back then forward,firing off another blast of hellfire!

Morrigan threw up the sword and shielded herself with it,burning out the fireball.

Dimitri then flew straight at Morrigan,attempting to do his Bat Cradle move.

She simply sidestepped and tripped him,knocking the vampire down to the floor.

Morrigan then lunged at him with the floor,diving for the kill,but before she could,she felt a blast of hellfire hit her in the back.

"UNNGH---WHAT?!"she replied.

Standing before her with blazing hands was the one who did it--Den,Dimitri's son.

"No..mother,"he said. "you shall be the one to die,not my father!"
"You're as self-deluded as he,you hell-spawned freak!"said Morrigan.

"You're the deluded one if you think you and your descendant friend stand a chance!"said Dimitri. "While my son I were--travelling---I have expanded and strengthened my powers,twenty-fold,even more than your own!"

"And if you think that's supposed to bother me,YOU'RE CRAZY AS HELL!"said Morrigan.

Morrigan fired her Soul Fist at Den,the young vamp tried to block it away but was knocked backwards and fell
into some curtains.

"DEN!"said Dimitri. "You foul witch!"

"I think this should be between us,don't you?"said Morrigan.
"Very well."said Dimitri.

The Vampire king reached behind the post where the now lifeless man was and drew a large broadsword of his own.

"We shall see who is the vicotr before this night is through."he said.

Guineverre continued to fight off agaisnt the legion of vampire followers with both her sword and her ancestral powers.
She used Thunder Sword spell,zapping away the next wave of vampire goons.

Suddenly,a pair of them pulled out some machine guns and were about to fire away.

"I think not on your part!"said Baine.

The hunter then threw her sword at the pair of gunmen.

The blade cut away their guns and sliced them both up into bloody shreds in the process.
"Kill shred."she said as the blade came back to her "Gets'em every time."

Morrigan and Dimitri locked blades with each other,both trying to gain an advantage.

She lashed at him with her Shadow Blade from her Wings,but Dimitri blocked it off with his own blade.
Morrigan then lunged at him after that,but the vampire knocked her advance away with his sword.

The Succubus tried at another approach. She shadow vanished across the floor,appearing to have disappeared.

Dimitri himself had seen Morrigan do this trick before and was about to show that he was ready for it.
He then sensed she was near enough to him and then swung at her,hitting the blade she held.

But as the sword appeared and hit the ground,there was no sign of Morrigan showing up.

"A new trick."she said appearing behind him. "And you fell for it!"

Dimitri swung around,ready to fight back.

But Morrigan was way ahead of him and fired full force at him with her Soul Fist.

"WHAMM!"

The vampire king was knocked across the stand and fell up against the still lifeless body of his victim.

"Now---you shall die!"said Morrigan.

But before she could go for the kill,the ever faithful son attacked yet again.

This time,he blasted the very floor apart where Morrigan stood on with his own Hellfire blast,causing her to fall to the floor underneath.

"Good work my son."said Dimitri. "She and her companion will never be a match for us!"
"Yes,father!"said Den.

"That damned boy!"said Guineverre. "If we are to destroy Maximov,we must destroy him first!"

Baine did her Kill shred move again,throwing the sword like a huge boomerang,straight at the spawn of Dimitri.

"NO--LOOK OUT DEN!"said Dimitri.

The Darkstalker threw himself in front of his son,causing the blade to sink right through his chest,heart and all!

"FAAAATHERRR!"screamed Den.

"GOT HIM!"said Guineverre.
"She--she did it!"said Morrigan.

Den held his dying father in his arms,tears ran down the boy's face.
"Father--no--please---don't die!"he said.
"No,no, my son."said Dimitri. "Do not--shed tears for me...you are to the start of my legacy,you--- will become king of the earth and dark realms of this planet."

Dimitri gave the Blood Stone to Den.
"Use this...to complete the spell I started."he said. "Create an army of Darkstalker vampires as your own. Crush all enemies,rule in my...name..."

Dimitri then breathed his last,and died.

His body then turned an ash grey,and crumbled apart.

"NOOOOO!"he shouted to the sky.

Guineverre picked up her sword.
"Good show there,Guineverre."said Morrigan.
"Thanks,"she said. "I knew if one of them was threatened,the other would react accordingly."

"At least one part of our mission is cleared at last."said Morrigan. "Now..all that is left--is you,my dear son."

"Don't ever call me--your 'son'!"spat Den,his eyes glowing red. "He was the one who brought me into existence! And it is by his will that I will carry on his dream!"

"Don't be absurd,lad!"said Guineverre. "You may be a natural born Darkstalker,but you're not even twice the monster he was!
Now,surrender that--necklace at once--or suffer dire consequences!
 

"NEVER!"roared Den as blood red aura began to form from his body.
"Oh no,now what is he doing?"said Morrigan.

Den then suddenly transformed into a winged bat demon,the same that his father transformation was able to do,and he was truly fearsome!

"You're not leaving this place alive,vampire!"said Morrigan.
"Yes,we shall see that you follow your father to hell!"said Baine.

Den simply opened his fanged mouth,and a giant blast of fire erupted from it.

Guineverre threw up her sword,deflecting the fiery blast of flames.

"YOU BOTH SHALL NEVER STOP ME!"said Den in a monstrous and demonic voice. "FOR YOU SHALL NEVER FIND ME! AND ONCE YOU DO..IT SHALL BE TOO LATE!"

The winged demon then flew upwards and through a glass skylight.
"HAHAHAHA!"

"We'll find you yet,demon!'said Baine. "Even if it takes a thousand years,we'll find you!"

END FLASHBACK.

"And it looked to me as if it would."said Morrigan. "Oh and in case you're wondering where Guineverre and I got tnat huge ship out there in space. Well,it once belonged to another Darkstalker called Jedah,we found it buried in the south pole once and to make a long story short,revived it. Hoping that it's strange mystical science would track him and other Darkstalkers on the planet.

But now,thanks to the world of mortal 'street fighting' and such. We have now learned full well of his locations,plan and all."

"So I see."said Charlie. "But that still doesn't answer why you and your 'pal' there abducted Cammy and me for your little 'arena games' up there."

"I quite agree."said Rose. "If you wanted their help,you should've asked them."
"As I explained,madame Rose."said Morrigan. "We needed to be certain if they could handle such opponents in the form of something--inhuman."

"There was another reason."said Guineverre as she emerged from the shadows."While we monitored the earth,we learned of many other great evils that dwelled the earth. Sagat,Bison and Shadowloo,Akuma,Garuda,Gill and the ILLUMINATI,the Mad Gears and such.

We would've sought those terrors at firsthand,but...we also witnessed the acts of bravery from your fellow man."

"Yes."said Morrigan. "Starting with you,Ryu Hoshi,when you defeated Sagat and won the championship years ago. Followed by you Guy,Bushin ninja and your fellow fighters Cody and Haggar as you strode through Metro City,freeing it from the shackles of Crime Lord Belger and his cronies.

"The rest of you contributed one way or the other to many events concerning battles against Bison and the other evils that followed. It would seem the help of--our kind would no longer be needed."

"I also felt--the same way after my last battle with M.Bison years ago."said Rose. "As I recovered,I witnessed through my crystal ball that many other street fighters took it upon themselves to combat the growing evils in this world,through either street battles,militart operations,or in this case--tournament battles. It would've appeared that I would no longer be needed either."

"Nonetheless,madame Rose."said Guy. "You couldn't have come at a better time."
"I agree as well."said Ryu. "We need all the help we can get."

"Yes,even if some of it is--inuman to say the least."said Cammy as she eyed Morrigan.
"Why,Cammy,"said Morrigan. "don't tell me you're against my--'aid'?"

Cammy simple walked up to the succubus,squatted down to tie her boot laces.

Before anyone knew it,she sprang up and did a Cannon Spike kick---right on her chin!

"KRAKK!"
The impact caused Morrigan to fall up against a computer console and tumble to the floor.
"CAMMY!"said Charlie.

"YOU--DARE ATTACK MY PARTNER?"said Guinneverre.
"Oh boy."moaned Guy. "Here we go."

Both Ryu and Guy stood in defensive posititons against Guineverre while Charlie attempted to restrain Cammy.
"What the hell you think you're doing?"he said.

"I don't trust these....creatures,any more than a vampire!"said Cammy. "Not after what they put us through!"
"We may need their help after all,Cammy."said Ryu. "Trust is never easy,but this is a dire situation we're in!"

"ENOUGH!"
Rose shouted as she raised her arms upward,emitting purple auras of energy.
"If anyone here is to shed blood,it shall be with our enemies,not with one another!"she said. "We must,whether we like it or not,fight together to end this menace once and for all!"

"Very well."said Guineverre as she sheathed her sword.
"But be warned,cross either of us again,and you will truly perish!"

Morrigan chuckled as she rubbed at her chin.
"I suppose I should watch who I--'shackle' next time eh?"she said. "Just don't cross too far again all right?"
"Yeah,right."said Cammy.

"Now then."said Guinevvere. "The next thing to do,is to bring you all to date on what the plan is--and how we deal with it."

The dark hunter raised both of her hands,and the entire group of heroes in both rooms vanished once again.

In the next instant,they were all aboard Jedah's spaceship.
"Oh blimey!"said Cammy. "NOT AGAIN!"

"Save your moans,little one."said Baine. "This time we are here to instruct,brief,and arm you for our mission."
"Arm..?"said Guy. "You mean...?"

"Yes."said Morrigan. "We're going to gear up for---some vampire hunting."
