Ryu Hoshi raced as fast as his legs could carry him as he ran to his match with the one who he could not avoid,the remtach with the one named--Sagat.

"I'd never thought it'd come to this once again."thought Ryu.
"I still rememeber the end of our first battle as if it was still going on."

Ryu rememebers when he launched a fiery Dragon Uppercut into Sagat's chest,scarring him for life.
He won the tournament,but at what a price to pay later on that the Muay Thai emeperor would associate himself with criminals and terrorists just for a rematch--and nearly killing his old and dearest friend in the process.

"Sagat's gonna pay for this---I SWEAR IT!"thought Ryu.

He then found the area where they directed him to.

It was another set of temple grounds on the area and there was a large statue that lay on the grass in a laying position.

Once Ryu made it there,he found someone sitting cross legged across from Ryu,it was Sagat himself!
He was in a deep mediatative state.

"SAGAT!"said Ryu. "I am at last here for the final match!
Are you ready to face me?"

Sagat said nothing,instead he opened his eye and sat up,and walked over to where Ryu stood.
His single eye glowed a bright red and his musles seemed twice as large than before.

"My gosh!"thought Ryu. "He's different and a lot more massive than the last time I saw him.
But I can't let that intidimate me,I must win this!"

The match began as Sagat made the first move as he thrust both fists forward and fired off a Tiger Shot at his enemy.
"TIGER!"

Ryu ducked the Tiger Shot,but Sagat squatted down and fired another shot.

Ryu saw it coming and then jumped right over it and came flying down at Sagat with a drop kick.
Sagat then launced into the air and slammed Ryu with a hard and fast Tiger Uppercut!

Ryu was hit head on and fell to the ground.
"Urrgghh--that was not--good..."he said as he got back up.

"Bison must have done something to him to make him stronger than before."he said. "I've gotta find a way to win this,before it's too late!"

Sagat then fired off another set of Tiger Shots,but this time Ryu jumped right over them both and then jumped right over Sagat and was directly behind him.

Sagat turned just to see Ryu come at him with a Spin kick to the side of his head.
"KRRAAKK!"

But just as he hit him,Sagat stayed rooted to the spot,the kick was a mighty one,but had no effect.
Wha--?"said a rather stunned Ryu.

Sagat then grabbed him by the shirt top and threw him across the yard.

"UNNF!"went Ryu as he landed one again,only harder.

He then saw Sagat coming down upon him.

Ryu jumped back to his feet,just as the massive kickboxer came down on the ground,planting his feet down!

Ryu then thrust forward and slammed him in the abdomen with his fireball.

"WHAMM!"
Ryu then began to fire away,again and again,but it was to no avail.
Sagat then brought down his massive fist upon Ryu's head!

"KRAAAKK!"
Ryu went down once again.

"RYU--NO!"said Li.
Both Ken and Chun-Li were watching the fight unfold on the video screen.
"Damn that Sagat!"said Ken. "I should be there whooping that big ass ape!"
"Come on Ryu!"said Li. "Don't let him beat you!"

Sagat then lifted Ryu up and clutched his hand around his throat.
"That's it Sagat!"said Bison watching the events unfold. "Take him down and out!"

Ryu then opened his eyes to see Sagat clutching him.
"No--!"gasped Ryu.

Sagat then slammed a knee into Ryu's gut and then threw him down to the ground.

"Unnnhhh.....i've got to find a way to--defeat him--before he goes to kill Li and Ken!"he said.

Ryu then got up and then had an idea.

He stood firmly in position and waited for Sagat to come at him again.
Sagat did so and did a Tiger Knee Rush.

Ryu managed to block it off,but barely as his feet skid across the ground.

He then waited for Sagat to do another move,and he did so as he threw several punches at Ryu.
The japanese blocked them off and then dodged a few kicks from Sagat.

Sagat then did a high kick,allowing Ryu to duck it and do a leg-sweep,tripping him to the ground.

Sagat fell with a loud thud,and then Ryu landed an elbow to his chest,knocking the wind out of him.

"Okay,now I got it!"said Ryu as he jumped away from his opponent.
"C'mon Sagat,i'm ready for ya!"

Sagat jumped back to his feet and rushed at Ryu again.

Ryu then jumped up and slammed him in the face with a jump kick,then did another Spin Hurricane kick,hitting him in the head several times and twice as hard!

Ryu then landed back down and slammed a kick into Sagat's gut that sent him backwards.

He then charged up for one final blow.
"SHINNKKUU--HADOUKEN!"

Sagat was hit so hard by the blow,that he went flying across the grass and lay motionless upon the ground.

It was done,Ryu was once again the winner of the match and victor over Sagat.

"YAAAAAYYY!"everyone shouted for their champion.
"Heh,couldn't have done it better myself."said Ken.
"So...what's next?"said Li.

"A pity..."said Bison. "...I charged up Sagat with the most powerful dose of my power,it seems that these three fighters are a lot more powerful than I imagined. Well,no matter..the contest is still not quite over."

Ryu stood over Sagat,and then noticed something different about him.

His body shifted back to it's original form and his glowing eye returned to normal.
"Wha--what happened?"said Ryu.

Sagat groaned as he got up.
"Where--am I?"he said. "Ryu--did we--fight?"
"Yes we did."said Ryu. "And I of course--won.'
But..you were different..you were not yourself."

Sagat sighed.
"It seems that Bison was using me for his ill gotten games."he said. "Ryu..I know it won't make up for what happened,but I am sorry for what my former master has done to your friends..and please tell Ken that I am sorry it came to what happened.

After you defeated me,I wanted revenge..but soon discovered that it was folly to do so,and I became a worse man than I had did before. I lost my honor,my nobility...but at least by defeat,I have remembered what I was."

"I'll be sure to tell them."said Ryu. "So..what happens now?"
"That I do not know."said Sagat. "Since this is the tournament,you must go back to defeat Bison,only by beating him,will you defeat Shadaloo as well."

"Yes,but..where is Shadaloo?"said Ryu.

Sagat bent down and whispered something in Ryu's ear. He was then suprised by what he told him.
"Yes..I will remember that."said Ryu. "What are you going to do now?"

"The only thing I can as of now."said Sagat. "Train to be as great as you,and face you again in the next tournament.
But what you and the others need to do is this---destroy Shadaloo once and for all!"

"I will---and I look forward to our next battle."said Ryu.
"As do I."said Sagat.

The Mauy Thai then left the area and went off into the sunset.he had at last regained his senses,and perhaps one day,his honor.

"Perhaps Sagat wasn't so bad after all."said Ryu. "But he has much to learn himself about honor.
All right then,back to the rest of the tournament."

Ryu ran back to where the last of the finals would take place,unaware of what laid next.
