A young girl:

"What do you mean who am I? ChunLi, you don't remember anything?" Ryu asked, concerned.

"I don't remember anything, my head is a complete blank. I can't even remember my own name. You keep calling me ChunLi, is that my real name?" ChunLi asked, still very confused.

"Excuse us for a minute. Ryu come here, we have to talk." Gen said, motioning Ryu to follow him to his room.

Leaving a confused ChunLi sitting in the living room, Ryu and Gen enter into the main study.

"Ryu, tell me everything that happened. Duran entrust his daughter to me before his untimely disappearance. She is my responsibility." Gen demanded.

Starting from the beginning, he told of how Interpol had betrayed ChunLi and of their confrontation with Bison and the power they witnessed that day.

"...I managed to deflect the projectile that headed her way, but the explosion must have caused her to lose her memories. The force of the explosion did send her flying even though the projectile never hit her." Ryu explained.

"Hmm, Bison mentioned psycho power, I have heard of this before, long ago, I thought it was nothing more than a myth, but if what you say is true, then neither of you two are a match for Bison. But at any rate, we should send ChunLi to the hospital and have her examined." Gen explained.

"No, we can't, Bison has his agents everywhere over here. She would be very vulnerable there, as he wants both of us. We have to leave this place immediately." Ryu explained.

"Where are you going to go? Disappear from the Earth?" Gen asked.

"For now, it would be better that you don't know." Ryu replied.

All of a sudden there was a loud crash followed by a loud scream, coming from the living room. Rushing out of the study....

'Where the heck is Ryu? We were supposed to be sparring today.' Ken thought to himself, while driving through the streets of Hong Kong.

'Ever since he laid his eyes on that Chinese girl, he hasn't left her side since. Well, I guess I can't blame him, he kinda reminds me of how Eliza and I first met. And to think that all he knew was fighting. Just when you think you have someone figured out, they come out and surprise. Oh well, might as well pop by Master Gen's place to see if he has seen the two. Knowing Ryu, he would probably be sweating like a fountain in her presence...' as he pulled he rental car up the drive-way of Master Gen's apartment...

Back in Gen's apartment...

Ryu and Gen burst into the living room. Before them, they saw a broken window and a muscular man pinning ChunLi on the ground, tying up her arms and attempting to take her hostage. ChunLi struggle futilely to get away from the big man that was on top of her while arms were tied together by a big metal chain.

"HELP ME!!!!! PLLEEEAAAASSSSSEEEEEEEE!" ChunLi cried out in terror.

"STOP!!!! LEAVE HER ALONE" Ryu called out in rage.

The man looked up at the two men and held up his hostage.

"So I am guessing that you are that Ryu Hoshi that Lord Bison wants. Luckily for you, Lord Bison said that he wants you and this pretty little chick back alive, guess Birdie won't be beating the hell outta ya t'night. Come quietly or I will be popping this chick tonight." Birdie threatened.

ChunLi started to cry as Birdie applied pressure to her arms. Ryu had no choice, but to comply. He couldn't stand to see ChunLi hurt. He simple walked forward.

"Very good, looks like there will be no trouble tonight. Don't you dare try anything stupid or I will break this chick's pretty little neck. Now you wouldn't want that would you?" Birdie said backing towards the front door.

All of a sudden the front door swung open. Ken started to walk through the open door.

"You know Master Gen, you should really learn to lock your front door, you can get rob this way.... what the hell?" Ken cried out in shock as he surveyed the situation.

Birdie turned around and saw Ken behind him. The distraction was all Ryu needed to strike. Dashing forward and punched Birdie in nose, causing him to stagger backwards and let go of his hostage. ChunLi fell forward and into Ryu's strong arms, still crying and hugged him fiercely once her arms were unbinded. Birdie staggered back and grabbed his face.

"Just for that lil' man, I'll be taking you back to Lord Bison in a body bag. But first I will take down you down first Blondie" Birdie threatened as he recovered from Ryu's strike.

Before Birdie could get into a his fighting stance, Ken burst into action. First by executing a roundhouse to the right side of Birdie's head, followed by a side kick to the ribs and repeated the sequence for a total of 8 kicks before jumping into the air and executing a hurricane kick and juggling Birdie with another 6 hits.

"SHIPUU JINRAI KYAKU"

Birdie sailed through the air and landed on the ground with a loud thud and was out cold.

"Ryu, ChunLi, Master Gen what is going on here?" Ken asked.

"We came into the study and saw that guy take ChunLi hostage." Ryu explained. He then explained of the events that had come to pass.

"WHAT?!?! You're kidding me? That loser took ChunLi hostage? No way, he probably couldn't even take Eliza hostage. ChunLi, didn't you try to defend yourself?" Ken asked, surprised while pointing at the unconscious Birdie.

"I...I...don't know…h...how to defend myself... when the window broke and I saw that large figure come through, I...I was really scared...I didn't know what to...." ChunLi sobbed as she continued to cry.

"Ryu, this is worse than I thought, not only has ChunLi lost her memories, she may have lost her ability to defend herself. This psycho power may be even more powerful than I thought. You three must leave here quickly. Go now!" Gen ordered.

"C'mon Ryu, come with me back to the United States, you will be safe at my place." Ken suggested.

"Ken, I cannot burden your family..." Ryu replied.

"Ryu, where will you go? You can survive alone, but do you think ChunLi can survive with you, especially in her current condition? Like you said, Bison's agents are everywhere over here, but chances are that they are not in the United States. It very safe at my place, we have armed security guarding my place. If you hide over here, chances are, they will hunt you two down relentlessly and eventually they will capture both of you." Ken replied.

Ryu looked down at the still crying ChunLi and knew that Ken was right, even though he didn't like his option. Unable to come up with a counter argument, they both prepared to leave. Before they left Gen's apartment, Gen handed Ryu a wrapped package.

"Give this to her when she needs comforting. It will help calm her down." Gen instructed.

With ChunLi in still crying in his arms, Ryu placed her gently into the back of Ken's car before they drove away towards the airport.

Hong Kong international airport...

ChunLi had cried herself to sleep by the time they reached Ken's private jet. The three hurried onto the private jet and headed to the Master's estate. Three hours later, ChunLi finally awoke and was started to find herself in the private jet.

"Where am I?" ChunLi asked.

"We are on Ken's plane to the United States." Ryu explained.

"Umm.., what are your names? What's my name for that matter?" ChunLi asked.

"Your name is ChunLi, my name is Ryu and this here is Ken." Ryu explained.

"Hmm, Ryu, that name does sound familiar...hmm.." ChunLi thought.

'This plane sure is nice.' ChunLi thought as she stood up and started looking around.

"Oh hey, ice cream." ChunLi called out from behind the bar on the jet, taking a container of ice cream out of a mini freezer.

"Want some?" ChunLi asked, offering some to Ryu.

"Umm, no thanks." Ryu replied, surprised.

"Okay, suit yourself" ChunLi replied and started enjoying her dessert.

'Hmm, several weeks ago, she told me herself that she had dedicated her life towards killing Bison. She would never lead a normal life until she had her revenge. She had forgottehow to enjoy life. Heck, I'dnever even seen her smile since I knew her. But looking at her right now, eating her ice cream happily, it feels so stra. Shwas like a different person, she seems to have no care in the world, she seems like a young girl....' Ryu thought to himself.
