Gen regarded Satsui No Hado steadily. The Ryu he knew was a powerful warrior, one he respected and admired. His powers were strong, but he needed to know how to use them, and when.

Satsui No Hado charged forward, swinging a punch. Gen ducked and kicked him in the shins. Satsui No Hado fell face first, snatched Gen's ankle and twisted it viciously. Gen grunted in pain, gritting his teeth. He swore that Satsui No Hado was tearing the tendons in his foot. Gen countered with a kick to the head, but Evil Ryu snatched that foot and twisted. Satsui No Hado moved to a standing position and threw Gen aside.

Chun Li weakly propped herself on her elbows. Gen…Ryu…

The old man shook his head to clear it, his eyes narrowing. Before he knew it, a fireball had hit him square in the chest. Satsui No Hado's shadow loomed over him.

"Get up. Fight me," the demon warrior said quietly.

Gen quickly attacked with a kick to the chest, causing the warrior to brace himself on his knees, his breathing uneven. Satsui No Hado scowled at Gen. Suddenly, he lunged forward, attacking with a barrage of punches and kicks, some which Gen blocked, others he could not avoid.

Gen rushed forward, attacking with a low kick, low strike, and another low kick before performing a multiple hit attack. At least he would be able to render his opponent weak.

Satsui No Hado bent down, trying to catch his breath. Then he attacked with two fierce punches and released a beam of energy from his palms. Gen lay on the ground, coughing.

"Surely you can do better than that…" Satsui No Hado taunted.

Gen stood up, dashing towards his opponent, but Satsui No Hado side-stepped and threw Gen to the ground. As Gen stooped over, Satsui No Hado grabbed him by the neck and lifted him up in the air, nearly choking him.

Chun Li unsteadily climbed to her feet. She took several breaths, trying to gain energy as Satsui No Hado choked the life out of Gen. In a burst of speed, she dashed forward, delivering multiple kicks to Satsui No Hado's back. He groaned in pain, released Gen, and fell to the ground. Chun Li collapsed onto the ground, her legs failing her.

Satsui No Hado's eyes glowed. "Don't play if you can't pay…"

Her breath lodged in her throat as he snatched her by the front of her dress. Gen looked up in alarm as Chun Li struggled, her feet dangling helplessly.

"So full of spirit…" Satsui No Hado mocked.

Chun Li brought up her legs to kick him in his mid-section. The trick worked. She kicked him with a force so strong, he immediately released her, reeling from the blow. Chun Li fell on her back. She took a few deep breaths and cried out as Satsui No Hado grabbed her by the waist and threw her at Gen like she was a sack of rice. Gen gritted his teeth at the pain he felt when her bones clacked with his. He gently pushed her aside.

"Rest," Gen instructed. "I can defeat him."

Chun Li nodded, not knowing what to say.

Satsui No Hado rushed towards Gen, attacking with two hits before a trail of shadows appeared behind him. Chun Li's eyes widened. Gen suddenly felt himself shoved to the side. Chun Li and Gen looked up in alarm as everything went white. When the white light cleared, Ken lay still at Satsui No Hado's feet. Ken had shoved Gen aside, taking the Raging Demon attack. Gen quickly dashed towards Satsui No Hado, his fingers jabbing the various points in his body. Satsui No Hado, helpless and caught off-guard, fell unconscious.

Chun Li gazed at Gen, wide-eyed. "What…happened?"

"I rendered him unconscious," Gen explained. "He won't wake for another twelve hours…"

"As Ryu or…?" Chun Li swallowed the lump in her throat.

"I don't know…"
