Sensei Yurokuna Ch. 2 - Spying Eyes

For probably the longest time in her life, April sat still. She was nearly always doing something but being at home, or rather Chun-li's flat; there just wasn't anything to do. She didn't bother turning the t.v on because daytime television was rubbish but then she never really watched tv anyway… never had the time. She could have been drawing manga pictures of her past, but she didn't feel like drawing and couldn't be bothered to get up anyway. She definitely did NOT want to go to sleep again, it was just a total waste of time and she was afraid of what she might see again. After realising that it was no good being so lazy, April got up and made her way to her bedroom and turned on a p.c next to her desk. She turned to her desk and opened one of the drawers.

Flicking through various bits of paper she pulled out the ones she wanted and put them next to her computer, then returning to the desk, took out a disk and finally she sat down. She felt her eyes start to feel heavy and tired as she closed them she saw an image of a young child running, looking for somebody and shouting. April quickly jolted herself to stay awake. She had seen enough images for the time being.

Picking up one of the bits of paper that her eyes caught she began reading the contents. A couple of days ago she found evidence that somebody from shadowloo had infiltrated Seattle's airforce base - through Captain Guile's heart. After April had assassinated her a week ago, she knew Guile was really hurt but he would thank her one-day. She wish she could have done it a little more subtle but the Shadowloo agent had been with him all the time so April had to kill her while he was there. April had done it clean and quickly, she had quite a reputation behind the scenes `course nobody reckoned it was her because she seemed so innocent. April worked as a lone ninja now and again but she only ever set out to help people and to botch any local Shadowloo workings.

April was about to put the disk in the drive, then had a sudden change of mind. She dropped the disk on the desk, picked up all of the bits of paper and left the room. April had been specifically ordered by Chun-Li not to leave the flat but April tossed the thought aside and exited out of the door.

~ Centre of town ~

As the teenager strolled down the streets clutching the evidence to "Sam Yukari's" employment with Shadowloo, she was unaware of spying eyes. However, her stalker seemed somewhat confused when she walked into a Chinese Take-away.

"Yo Shinji! Did I tell you I found the evidence to that assassin?" April shouted, jumping through the door waving the documents carelessly in her hand.

"Why don't you say that any louder?" her friend answered sarcastically.

"Ahh ahh ah!" April said waving her finger at him "Is that any way to speak to the master? I told you I'd get it, didn't I?"

"Yes bu.."

"No buts! I'm right and your wrong!"

"April, I think you should be careful with that because Shadowloo will kill with that in your possession. Get it down to Interpole, to Chun-li. Does she even know you posses it?"

"Nope"

"Why not?"

"Because, she will stress out saying "Oh my God your could die" and start fretting over me - I can take care of myself thank you very much!"

"Just be careful, ok?"

(I CAN look after myself) "Whatever"

April left the Take-away and headed to go and get something else to eat. From the corner of her eye she could see a figure following her. Knowing that the street wasn't a good place to fight, she just jumped on the closest bus (that just happened to be coming along). April jumped off the bus at another part of town, walking down the street she noticed a different person following her. With a sigh of frustration she took a turning down an ally and waited.

As her new stalker walked in she slammed him against the wall.

"What the h*ll is your problem!?" she shouted. Not looking the slightest bit threatened he made her loosen her grip on him, as he walked away he pulled out a gun, aiming it at her - she didn't look the slightest bit threatened either. "The files?" he asked

"What about them?" she answered back

"Give them here! - Lord Bison commands it!" he ordered.

At this April burst out into fits of laughter "You fool! What kind of spy gives away who they work for?!?"

"You won't be living long enough to do anything about it, O'Conner!"

April froze - to hold documents was one thing and knowing the details of a person who didn't technically exist was another.

"Is that so?" she retorted calmly

As he aimed the gun and pulled the trigger, she was long into the air out of harm's way. As she landed she did a low sweep kick and followed through with a powerful roundhouse that knocked him on the floor. She walked over to him and picked him up by the hair and neck, then threw him into a wall. Upon impact, his body fell to the floor. April walked away not noticing another person across the road that was watching her…

Chun-li wondered down the corridor holding some paper work, she walked through various rooms and finally came across the place that she was looking for. She turned the handle and walked through the door and a roomful of people were staring at her - she was late for her meeting.

"Miss Li, please sit down - we have much to tell you"

"Huh? Oh sorry" with haste, she found her seat and sat down. Next to her sat Captain Guile, she smiled at the people that continued to stare at her, and then looked at her superior.

"Miss Li, following our various leads, we can see that Shadowloo are currently after somebody that isn't a political body, in fact, it's nobody with an important status, however we have learned that the target is somebody close… to you."

"ME!?!"

"Because this person is not a political figure or some sort of Street Fighter, we think that this person must be holding some kind of information that is valuable to Shadowloo…"

"…Right…"

"But obviously we don't know what it is regarding…"

"Who is it?"

"A young teenager, about 15 years old named April Lisa O'Conner"

"WHAT?!?… April, what's she got to do with anything?"

"We don't know, but in order to find out we want to find out about her - tell us about her. Where does she come from?, who are her parents?, who old exactly is she?, where was she brought up? How did you meet her?"

"Well… It must have been about 3 years ago… I had finally found Bison, I did my best but the things I did seemed to have no effect on him. We seemed to have been fighting for ages, I felt terrible, I don't know how I managed to stay alive because he was so much stronger. He began to launch himself for a psycho crusher - I thought I was dead, as it was about to hit me, a little girl jumped in the way and caught the attack. Bison thought he had killed me and so he left. I thought the girl was already dead, I might have only just been alive if he hit me at the beginning of the fight but I had to go and check. I was amazed to find out that she was still alive - anyway, we both went to hospital and considering most of the bones in her body we broken she healed everything in about three weeks! I thanked her for what she did but told her it was a stupid thing to do. She said she didn't care as long as I was alive. When I asked her where she lived to take her home she said she didn't have one so I decided to take her home and she's lived with me ever since. Both of her parents died when she was little, she doesn't know where she comes from, she doesn't know where she was raised and she's 15. She hasn't told me where she was before I met her, it seems to bring her a lot of pain so I never mention it anymore, now she's happy there is no point".

"That doesn't give us a lot of help though, she could be in big trouble because I've heard that Bison is directly involved with whatever they are planning"

~ Shadowloo HQ, Thailand ~

"My lord - it just doesn't make sense. Why won't her statistics show up on the screen, is their something wrong with the cyborg?"

"Of course their isn't anything wrong with the cyborg, it's the girl"

"What about her?"

"I haven't figured that out yet"

"So what now?"

"I want to know more about her, she has the files - I want you to send that cyborg back and have it checked"

"Of course, sir"

Bison's assistant scuttled out of the room to carry out his order while Bison sat, looking thoughtfully at the screen.

(She looks familiar, where have I seen her before?)

"hmm.." An idea comes into his head. "Computer, search Extra Terrestrial Life" The computer screen went blank for a moment searching through it's files, and then came with the answer.

He continued to watch the character on the screen with interest. (This is the last race of immortality. This is the holy race, could this be the third power sanbanmeno chikara?)

A smile appeared on his face

"Not bad looking either, sanbanmeno chikara"

~ At school ~

Sakura was really lonely. This was one of the first times that April had ever been away, because Sakura was different from other girls, she came from a different place they didn't want to know her but once April arrived they tuned in to each other straight away and became good friends. The bell's ring echoed around the school and Sakura picked herself up from the grass and made her way to class, just as she turned around a corner, April popped her head round.

"Yahhhhhhhhhhh Nihio Sakura!"

"EEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK" Shrieked Sakura at the top of her voice.

"What's wrong Sakura, you don't want me to be here?"

"April what are you doing here? Aren't you ill?"

"Well I've just had some trouble sleeping lately, shall I go?"

"NO WAY! It's just not the same without you here, April"

"So like, whatcha been doin'?"

" Well I went to see Shinji and he just nagged me about the files, and I got approached by an assassin from Shadowloo, well probably not an assassin but he was definitely employed with Shadowloo"

"I think you should get rid of them while you can April - now we are playing a dangerous game"

"Sakura, the funs just getting started!"
