Dan Hibiki & Joe Higashi went to the roof helipad & saw a large personnel carrier there. Some mechanic types were working on it, & the head mechanic told them that it would take at least a half hour until it was fixed.
        "Figures." Dan said, "Where's the SNK HQ?"
        "Over there." Joe said, pointing westwards. In the skyline was a skyscraper with a big neon sign on it. The letters clearly spelled out SNK.
        "Well, what do we do while they're repairing it?"
        "Well, we can spar..."
        "Hah, you think you can handle my mad Saikyo skillz?" Dan chirped, emphasizing the 'z'.
        "Just you wait, Hibiki! I'll show you what I can do!" Joe called back, getting into stance.
        (Author's Note: This takes place sometime after the events of Saikyokugenryu, made by Nash aka DUNES. If you don't know the story, then go read it!)

        Joe had a flashback: He was exercising in his dojo when Hwai-Jai noted his fighting skills. Joe had responded with "Aahhh, he's no big deal. If he & I ever crossed paths---WATCH OUT!"
        "I've been waiting for this a long time, Dan. I need to see if you're really an expert now." Joe challenged.
        "You can't underestimate the power of Saikyo! I will prove that!" Dan called back. He was now in the classic bend-your-knees-as-fast-as-you-can-in-a-minute fighting stance. He flexed his arm & began the fight with a taunt. "OSHAA!!"
        Joe Higashi jumped forward & kicked Dan hard. He got off the first hit, & Dan said "Lucky..." as he got back up.
        Dan jumped back at Joe with his Dankuu Kyaku. It missed however, & Joe smacked Dan into the air. Joe leaped into the air after him & brought down one leg in a flipping ax kick. (Author's Note: I don't know Joe Higashi's moves, so I'm going to improvise. Bear with me here!) Dan fell but he somehow managed to right himself & landed on his feet. The fall still hurt though.
        "Pretty good, Higashi, but try not to do any more air attacks! We're on the top of a skyscraper for crying out loud!" Dan warned.
        "Alright." Joe agreed.
        Dan leapt at Joe & threw an air punch. It smacked Joe & then Dan landed into a sweep, removing Joe's ability to stay upright. Dan then jumped over Joe as he stood up & then slammed his back with an old-fashioned Gadoken. Dan had learned how to do a proper Hadoken, but he preferred the Gadoken's extra power & it's ability to cancel out opposing fireballs. This Gadoken sent Joe forward & towards the ground. Dan began to get cocky & rolled towards Joe in a taunt. Joe was waiting for Dan to get close.
        "Wrong move!" Joe taunted.
        Joe Higashi then uppercutted Dan, senting him into the air again, then he hit Dan really quickly with a flurry of fists. This sent Dan in an arc & then he fell hard on the ground. Dan got up & looked sharply at Joe, mad at him for doing an air attack. Dan decided to show Joe Higashi the error of his ways. He brought up his right hand & charged up his ki. Joe flexed his arm a bit & adjusted his headband, his equivalent of a taunt. Then he combed his paintbrush hair. Dan took this opportunity to attack.
        "Shinkuu Gadoken!"
        The blast knocked Joe to the ground. The extra time Dan had used to charge his fireball had made the distance increase, & the power had been brought up a bit. Joe got up & brushed himself off. He was about to counterattack when the head mechanic yelled at them.
        "Hey guys! The chopper is fixed!"
        Dan & Joe Higashi stopped fighting. Dan was bruised on his chest, back, & legs. Joe Higashi was bruised in the same places, but he also had a bruise on his cheek from the air punch. The two friends looked at each other & smiled. They would continue this fight later. They boarded the plane & then the pilot came aboard. The chopped lifted off & started towards the SNK HQ.

        Dan was fidgety in the uncomfortable seats of the army-style helicopter. Joe was in the same boat, & he asked Dan how he was doing.
        "Well, I haven't done much lately, other than collect the cash from my dojos & wonder how I can make more cash from them." Dan explained.
        Joe started looking at Dan in a hopeful way. Dan responded with a confused stare.
        "What?"
        Joe continued to stare.
        "You're creeping me out, Joe!"
        "Can I have some cash?" Joe finally said.
        "What do you need it for?" Dan said, eyes narrowed.
        "......chump change?"
        Dan rolled his eyes. Joe assumed this meant a 'No'.
        "What's been happening with you, Joe?" Dan asked.
        "I've been alright. Alternating between fighting in tournaments & chasing Mai. I've also been involved in a few adventures, & Fei Long asked me if I wanted to be in one of his movies. I said why not, it might get Mai to notice me, so my audition is in a few weeks." Joe explained.
        Dan started to wish that he could be in a movie.
