Street Fighter: Road Trip!
Part 6

The helicopter acted fine, but Dan changed his mind in mid-flight. He thought that Vancouver was a sucky idea & that he should be slapped for it. Ken did it for him, but Dan didn't mean literally & returned the favor in the form of a Gadoken. Guile was happy that Dan had come to his senses & offered to land the copter & get on Ken's jet. When they landed, bad news greeted them: Ken's jet is under repairs & they won't be going anywhere fast until it got fixed. They were going to be staying here for a while, & each fighter had different things on their minds...
"The fight is all...the fight is all...the fight is all..." Ryu thought. Bet you saw that coming.
"I can't believe my jet is broken. How in the heck did it break, anyhow?" Ken thought.
        "I love Sakura...I love Sakura...I love Sakura..." Dan thought. A no-brainer.
"I love Dan...I love Dan...I love Dan..." Sakura thought. Another no-brainer.
"Why isn't Ryu paying any attention to me? I am hot, right?" Chun Li thought.
"Guile's so hot in that army outfit...I wonder if he'll notice me..." Cammy thought.
"I'm so hot in my army outfit...I wonder if Cammy will notice me..." Guile thought. You didn't expect this, did you?
"Grrrooo ooogah meep! (I wonder when Dan will propose...)" Blanka thought. An interesting question.

Dan decided to use this short period to ask Sakura out. Cammy also decided to ask Guile out. They decided to have a group date. They would go to the local dance club & then they would decide from there. The date at the club was pretty cool, & Dan showed himself to be a better dancer than Guile. They then went to an arcade, where Guile showed himself to be a better shot. Then Dan suggested the top of a skyscraper. On the way up, Dan & Guile were still competing to see who was the best boyfriend. Dan had a surprise that would blow Guile out of the water, though...When they got to the top of the skyscraper, they went out of sight of each other, & started to woo their respective girlfriends.
"Hey, Cammy, I made you some dogtags!" Guile said.
"Hey Sakura, I made you a macaroni & glitter pencil holder!" Dan said, hoping that the kindergarden cuteness of it would do the trick.
"Hey Cammy, I got you this zirconium necklace!" Guile said.
        "Hey Sakura?" Dan asked.
"Yeah, Dan?" Sakura asked, wondering what it could be.
"We've been dating for a while now, & I wondered if we could take our relationship to the next level..." Dan asked, saying all the words Sakura wanted to hear. "And...I thought that this would help jumpstart it!" Dan said, pulling out a small velvet box. He didn't even open it yet, & Sakura had tackled him. Guile had seen this & thought that Dan & her were making out just to be better. He told Cammy to show him some love, but then came a metal pipe to his head. Guile had effectively blown it. Dan, meanwhile, had opened the box & there was a gold ring with rubies & sapphires. Sakura thought that this was the best engagement ring in the whole world, & soon the date was over: Dan: 1 Guile: 0.

The next day, Sakura told how Dan proposed, & Cammy told how Guile had delibarately tried to get under her suit without first showing her true affection. Cammy decided to "cut the tether" for a little while. (Cut the tether meaning stop seeing each other for a short period of time.) Dan & Sakura now wanted to find a place for the wedding. They called around...& got nothing. Things were getting desperate. Dan & Sakura were sitting on the roof of their hotel & talking about their wedding problem.
"What do we do, Dan? We've tried every wedding locale from Vegas to Sydney!" Sakura cried.
"Don't worry, Saky-chan...something will turn up..." Dan said, trying his best to comfort her.
"You know what? You're right! Nothing will stop us, as long as we have hope!"
Just then, as if by a miracle, Sakura's cellphone rang.
"Now I wonder who that could be?"
"Leave it, Sakura..." Dan said. Luckily for the both of them Sakura picked it up. It was Karin.
        "Hello?"
        "Sakura, are you there?"
        "Yeah, hi! Who is this?"
        "This is Karin!"
        "Karin! Hey, how's it been?"
"Very good, in fact. How have you & your boyfriend been getting along?" Karin asked politely, with a hint of impatience in her voice.
"Actually, he's not my boyfriend anymore...(Sakura pauses for dramatic effect)...he's my fiance!" Sakura said excitedly. Then both ends of the phone were excited girly noises, like the ones you hear when a girl tells another girl that the hottest boy in school has taken her to the prom. Dan overheard this & smiled.
"That's just wonderful! When are you getting married?"
"As soon as we can! But there's a problem..." Sakura said, her happiness starting to drift away.
"...what?" Karin asked, her cheery demeanor starting to evaporate.
"No chapel will take us! We've tried setting a wedding everywhere, & you wouldn't believe the refusals we've gotten!"
"That's just horrible! This cheeses me off so badly that I...wait...I'm getting an idea...just give me a moment..." Karin said. Sakura could hear thuds in the background that sounded suspiciously alike to the sound of someone banging their head into a wall. Then Karin came back..."I've got the perfect idea!"
"Well...what is it?" Sakura asked impatiently.
"You can have the wedding at my place! It's big enough, & we can use the chapel room my father built when he married my mom! I can hire the finest pastry chefs in Japan to make the cake, & I can also invite lots of our friends! It's perfect I tell you!" Karin said, the happiness now over its limits, as could be recognized by the pitch in her voice.
        "Are you sure?"
"Totally! When have I ever steered you wrong?"
"...Alright! But make sure that you have everything ready in 5 days!"
        "Got it!"
"Thanks Karin! You've been a big help!" Sakura said.
"When have I not?" Karin laughed.
        "You're right! Goodbye Karin!"
        "Goodbye Sakura!"
Karin hung up the phone & immediately ordered all of the servants to an assembly in the main hall. You could compare her to Patton. She had all her servants lined up & briefed them on the situation. There were only 5 days to get a wedding set up. Only 5 days to hire the chefs & make the cake, 5 days to invite lots of people from both Dan's & Sakura's sides, 5 days to make Sakura's wedding one of the happiest days of her life. She then ripped up her marriage contract with Dan & ordered the cancellation of the effects of the brainwashing helmet.
"Now, move out!" Karin ordered her troops.
Sakura turned off her cellphone. A tear ran down her eye & she hugged Dan. Dan learned the news that Karin had offered to set up their wedding.
"Do you think she's just trying to steal me away from you, Sakura?" Dan asked skeptically.
"No, I think it's for real! Isn't this for real?" Sakura replied, showing the ring.
"Of course it is! I bought it for you!"
        "It's settled then!"
Before Dan could argue further, another piece of good news ran headlong into them.
"Good news guys!" Guile said, "The jet got fixed quicker than we thought! We can leave tomorrow, we just have to inspect it first."
"How did it get fixed so fast?" Dan asked.
"Blanka gave us a hand." Guile replied, pointing to him. He was now jumpstarting it.
"Guile, can you tell the rest where we plan to go?"
"Sure! Where are we going, Dan?"
"The Kanzuki mansion back in Japan. We're getting married!" Dan said with pride, hugging Sakura. Guile was taken in shock. He lost all bastions of manliness & screamed like a little girl, which made Sakura look less like a girl than him. He then ran to tell the rest of the group. All of the others acted very much like he did when he was told about the marriage: which meant screaming like little girls. Ryu's pansy scream beat out everyones!

The inspection passed with flying colors & the fighters were in the air. Dan & Sakura used that compartment in the back of Ken's jet for a bit, but Sakura admitted that neither of them took off any clothes. She said their wedding was like Christmas Eve, & that the honeymoon would be like Christmas Day, when you open your present to see what gift you got.
        "Ummm...Sakura?" Cammy asked.
"What?" Sakura said, wondering what the question would be.
"What is that compartment back there for anyway?"
"Dan said that Ken made it for what he called 'Escapades'"
        "Escapades?"
"That's what Dan said anyway. Why do you..."
Cammy was gone. Sakura instinctively looked toward the back of the plane & saw the door into the compartment swing closed with a lock.

The jet landed in Japan 4 days before the wedding. Sakura made a quick trip over to Karin's house while the rest looked for lodgings. She parked her bike in front of the Kanzuki residence & ran inside. If she didn't know better, she would have sworn that she's just stepped onto the Titanic, only 10 times more elegant. Servants were dashing around in packs, putting up streamers, decorating, calling people, sampling buffet dishes, arguing over which carpet should be chose for the occasion, & over a thousand other tasks. Soon, standing in the foyer, she could see Karin, walking around, holding what suspiciously looked to be a whip. Sakura ran over & greeted her.
        "Hey Karin!"
"AAH! Oh, Sakura!" Karin said, clearly caught off guard & trying desperately to hide the whip.
        "Is this?"
"Well, duh! Of course it's your wedding decorations!"
"Why so lavish?" Sakura asked politely, although she was already enjoying the look of it.
"Well, you know me! Always has to be the best!" Karin replied with slight embarrassment.
Sakura hugged Karin right there, which was another thing that caught Karin off guard. Karin responded in kind, but wished that her servants would get by a little faster, even though they were paying no attention to her.
"I knew you were planning a wedding, but I didn't know it would be this incredible!" Sakura said, her voice high-pitched & happy.
"Yes...I'm going all out on this one..." Karin sighed, "What are you doing here anyway?"
"Just wanted to check up on you before I joined my friends in finding some lodgings."
"Well don't come back until it's done. I want you to be shocked once you see it."
Just then a butler came by with some hors d'ovures. Karin grabbed some & offered the rest to Sakura. They tasted pretty good.
"Frankly, I just can't stop eating them!" Karin said as she stuffed another mini-sandwich into her mouth, her manners collapsing at her feet.
"They are pretty good...but what's with the whip?"
"It's to keep my servants in line. You don't know how lazy some of these people can be!"
"Oh, well I'll see you at the wedding then, Karin!"
"Bye, Sakura!" Karin said hastily. Before she left, Sakura thought she saw Karin trying to stuff 3 in at once. Crumbs invaded the once-clean carpet.
